Edited by: Soren on 12/02/2004 19:58:40 I doubt it, they don't want everyone becomming uber joves when they reach 20 mill points. Most of the vets are already half-way there (or much further), and as far as I'm concerned the game story hasn't even started yet. (will there be an offical story?)
BTW - You haven't posted alot latly, been keeping it quiet or something? _________________________________________________________

WEll with my current skill points, if I train all Intell and Memory attribute skillls, it takes me 18 days (give or take) to learn 1 mill skill points. (currently at 10.6 mill skill points =D) ---

Edited by: Danton Marcellus on 12/02/2004 20:17:37 I'm all for CCP playing favorites here and selecting people they think have played their game as it should be in their minds and would represent the jovians in the light they want to see them.
So what if I can't be one, hopefully those who can add something to the game and isn't just fraghagging away with the new avatar and upgraded ships. I mean jove and the race labelled pirate is separate...

At 20 mil skill points you become a mentally challanged Jove which is about 10% smarter than most Caldari and roughly equal to 40% structuraly damaged combat drone.
Stop griping about server instability and go buy an EVE mug!
Additionally with the purchase of each mug you will receive two(2) invisible Elves.

Edited by: Danton Marcellus on 12/02/2004 20:51:11 Skillz then it's half a playerbase we could do without, if the jovians are to keep any kind of mystique and technological superiority their numbers will be in need of monitoring, not having a default point setting that everyone can reach to morph into one.
If that dreaded scenario was to unfold the 4 races will be but a distant memory in a year and people will scream for species6847 or whatnot to be introduced, maybe the minbari, could the jovians build a gate to SWG to kick jedi ass?
The game would be completelly out of whack and people will seek more and more fantastic content as they have dismantled the jove and made their equipment basic.
If for one would like to see the Polaris program redone to make it mandatory for people playing jovian characters to put in some time helping new people and sporting events, difference being they would do so with their own character.
Failure to fulfill those duties and log a specific amount of hours would result in a suspension of that character for a certain time then on repeated offenses a morphing back to the previous character, race, name and all.

If u only have to get 20 mill points then in the end everybody would be jove. I think u have to do some ****, through agent or some and then u get the option of creating a new char that is a jove.

How about this;
The regions above the Great Wildlans are home to a 6th race, named as "Pirate" under the corp tab that shows you what races you can recruit into your corp (Caldari,Gallente,Amarr,Minmatar,Jove,Pirate).
This race is at war with the Jove, and they have great tech advancements like them (And their name will be changed to something cool)
When players reach a certain sp (20m?), they get the option to join either the jovians or the "pirate" race. These two races will be confined to jovian and "pirate" space, where highly advanced players will fight amongst themselves with very different economical systems and much more rescourses.
This will give the original "universe" a break from the uber l33t players, and give the uber l33t players a chance to fight amongst themselves with less interference from nublars.
My theory ofcourse. Dont ask how I know. -

my guess is that with joves at some point people with say 20m skill points, or even 10m skill points will be able to join the jove empire. That might happen when the Joves enter the game, or soon after.
The Trick is that because of Jove special biology they cant be cloned. So once your character becomes a jove you better not get podded or the character is dead for good.

I dont mean anything, thats just what i've gathered from rumours Plus jovians are like #1 in cloning, and they'd never implement perma-death. Thats like, a senior player quitting every time he dies wont happen. -

Are they not Immensea, the characters that Torifrans has been modelling on japanese structure? Or are the japanese characters for oriental release on a secondary eve shard?
