I logged into vent to listen, and he knew his ship was going to die very early on. Kudos to the guy, he was calm the whole way through, knew when it was too late for help and he sincerely thanked his alliance mates for helping - though we did nothing. As I have said previously, my respect for Tyrrax over the last year has grown immensely. He doesn't just issue orders to his alliance, he delivers on them himself. His sincerity and acceptance in defeat is a defining quality and one that very few possess. Sure, he's had practice but day in and day out he works toward what he believes in regardless of the cost. Those are qualities that you canÆt help but admire in anyone. In the end, the special story that is Tyrrax & EVE continues to grow. To Tyrrax, we all knew one day you would lose it and you have nothing but the respect of your alliance mates and friends. Well played to those who got to kill it, I know what it feels like.

In fairness you are as bad if not worse than anyone else for quoting stats, however I havent seen a Molle post for a while, so either its not going to plan or Molles too busy.

Depends on whether he/they have a sensible approach to EVE..... Ships are meant to be used! Used ships are eventually lost! Get a new ship! It's the people who doesn't have a sensible approach to EVE (it's a GAME) that worry too much about loosing ships... Anyway, this is one of the cheaper ships he's lost. Without triage motherships tank maybe twice as well as their carrier counterparts... so on an aeon maybe 11-12k DPS tanked with 64% hardeners, Corpum A-type EANM, DCU II and 3 Cap reps (along with max skill armoured warfare resists mod + mindlink) - Considering a sniper bs will do between maybe 300 and up to 900dps depending on range, it doesn't take too many to break a mothership once you can hold it down

I dont know much about supercaps so explain please. The reason for nothing bigger than a BS is becuase there was a cynojammer in the system he died in. Had there not been one, we would've been able to cyno in over a dozen carriers and moms that were in the next system over, not to mention a fair number of dreads. As for why he died, even with all Chelm fittings, a max tank Aeon can only tank a bit over 9k DPS and even that only for a short amount of time. Seeing as Tyrrax had mostly T2 and faction fittings, the tank was somewhat weaker. Add to the fact that at least two lowslots were taken up by cap power relays, a more reasonable number is, oh say 3k DPS. Several of the ships on the field had the ability to do 500 DPS or more, which meant that without support, it was only a matter of time. And, it did take a fair amount of time too - motherships don't die quickly. To IAC, we fully acknowledge that IAC has killed two motherships for us during this conflict - one MC and one ISS. As far as i know, that Moros was setup to bait at station and kill small gang ships - the pilot had been doing it fairly often the last few days and gotten a few of our smaller ships.
