It works great for belt piracy, and will survive long enough to gank a frigate/t1 hauler on a gate. It is also very cheap to fit/lose. You can do a lot with a plate vexor and a low amount of sp. I have taken out plenty of(mostly poorly fitted) BC's with a plate vexor, and it will dominate most other cruisers. The plate rupture can really give it a run for it's money, though.

A friend had a lot of success with a vexor with 1600mm plate and small guns. Unfortunately you can't fit a mwd with this setup. 1600mm plate rax can still fit a mwd as far as I know. If you want to increase your vexor's damage against equal sized and larger targets you can use 2x heavy (use ogre) drones, 2x mediums and 1x light. If you land in a small to medium camp you can either mwd burn out of range, or often it's best to burn back to the gate. This is where the plated vexor dies without mwd. Vexor is the best t1 cruiser in my opinion. Slightly behind are rupture, stabber, and a well flown arbitrator. I also read some guy on the forums (oh-oh) had success instapwning untanked haulers at gates using a myrm with 5x sentry drones. He said he had very good drone skills though. No idea if this works in practice or not. Even if it does you'll go through a lot of sentry drones. ---
