Seeing as there are a fair number of players suffering from repeated crashes of various sorts I thought it would be good to collect system info and types of crashes for each player.

List any system inforomation you can think of: sound card, video card, OS, Memory, page file sizes, screen resolution, whether the game is windowed/fulscreen, yada yada.

Then a brief list of crash types: BSOD, CTD, rebbot, freeze, garbled graphics...

Other chat on the topic should go in the "CTD crashes getting worse" thread. Maybe if we have a consise list we can more easily pull out a pattern.

fresh install Windows XP on a P4 1.7, 1024X768(32bit)resolution, Geforce 4 ti 4200 AGP 8x 128mb (41.04 driver), DirectX 9.0b, 512mb RAM, Sound Blaster Live, running EVE full screen.

Currently getting garbled graphics (unreadable) in EULA, login and char select screen(didn't bother going further). Reseting the computer seems to fix this, but it happens freequently(almost 50% of time I've turned on comp and run EVE). In game the graphics are distorted (strethced polygons and or 'shadows' as well as ocassional screen flicker. Currently few crashes but I'm only on a couple minutes at a time right now.

Previous windows install with more current nvidia drivers caused CTDs and more frequently crash/reboots.

no other programs experienceing difficulties

P4 2,53 (533)
1 gb ram (kingston 333 DDR)
Asus P4PE Mainboard
Asus TI4200 GF4
AC97 Soundcard or Live 1024
Windows 2000 or Windows XP
Windowed mode or fullscreen

Reboots/hangs/CTDs completly random. Some nights I can play without a single problem and sometimes I get hangs every 5 minutes.
No strange graphics and the game runs perfectly while it's working.
Was in from beta 3 and the problems didn't start untill late beta 6 I think.
All other programs/games runs perfectly and Eve is the only program that has caused instability.

[Now I have solved the problem lowering the speeds of the memories, did 10 days ago and haven't had a single problem since.]

P4 3.2GHz Processor, 2GB DDR400 RAM, Radeon 9800 XT Pro Graphics, Soundblaster Audigy 2 Sound Card, 120Gb SATA Hard Drive.

Very occasionally i just get a white screen with purple flashing triangles, usually happends when someone nearby activates a shield glow thing.

Nigel, sounds like you are suffering from artifacts, is your graphics card overclocked?

Hello...
I got this old system, via motherbopard, some athlon 2000 cpu, 768 mb ram and changed so far 2 video cards i had arrouns, an ati 9000 pro and a geforce 4 mx440. Tryed updating drivers, changing settings, everything i could think of, but i'm still getting a crash when i get into some fights, it's sometimes just random, sometimes occures at a specific place. System just crashes and reboots. no error message, nothing. I would kile to play this game, but no way to do that till i solve this...
Any ideea?

I have the same problem as above poster. As soon as I enter combat with an NPC the first shot from the NPC crashes my computer to blue screen then restarts my computer.

I've posted a topic to ask if anyone can help with this.
