No words could ever be sufficient to describe the profound sense of loss that every member of our ingame family is feeling.
Members of Veto Corp from across the globe unite today to pay our respects to a fallen wingman, a brother in arms, and more importantly a friend.
The untimely passing of one of our most dedicated and fun loving family members has driven a spear through the heart of our corporation, sending a shockwave of pain and sorrow to the very foundations of what makes us who we are; our respect, friendship and love for eachother.
It has been a privilege, an honor and above all a pleasure for myself and every member of my corporation to fly alongside such a respected, level headed and selfless member of the Eve-Online community.
As CEO, the fact that DarkElf was part of our roster fills me with an endless sense of pride and as such he will remain with us along with fond memories of time spent together in game, flying our banner for as long as Tranquility stays online as a testament to his loyalty to his friends.
In private among Veto Corp members, a humble minute of silence has been paid. A time to reflect the happiness, humour and appreciation of life that DarkElf brought to our ranks.
For our newer members and our Academy trainees he was a shining beacon of what they would become in our corp and a perfect example of the level of player integrity we have come to expect and cherish from our core playerbase.
As a memorial to his love for piracy and his endless devotion to his corporation, members of Veto Corp have unanimously agreed to ensure he remains part of the DED most wanted list by contributing as much as they can to his bounty pool. Any members of the community who wish to do the same are more than welcome to contribute.
DarkElf will be sorely missed and never forgotten.
A thread of condolences has been opened on the Veto-Corp public forums, it can be found here.
The entire memberbase of Veto Corp offer our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

Thanks to the kind words of Chaos Incarnate, there's also been a player owned outpost named after him.

CCP it would mean a lot to the community if you would alow dark elf the top spot. We dont care how you do it. Write a chronical to justify it, hell if you dont want the hassle ill do it. But either way the comunity has already donated 4 bill and im sure there would be more to come if it would all be visible somewhere.
CCP did actually put an In Character tribute to DE in the news. It can be seen in the News feed here.
It was published by the Interstellar correspondant team after I released two sort pieces of In Character writing to reflect DarkElf's disspearence from activity in Eve :
Episode XIII : A Loss So Great
Episode XIV : Remembrance
Having DarkElf effectively included in Eve-Online's prime fiction is something we can't thank CCP enough and are very grateful for.

I recieved E-ON Issue 10 today to see that DarkElf has been nominated for both Forum Warrior and Player of the Year Awards in the 2008 E-ON Awards.
It means a hell of a lot to all our members to see that he had such a wide and positive influence on so many people and I think it's a real testament to his personal character that he's in the running for these awards with some of the most well known people in Eve.
From everyone who wears the Veto Corp banner, thank you to everyone who took part in the voting at Fanfest 2007, and everyone who's given support and kind words.
