nothing too worrisome if I hadn't a phobia to needles.
I'm mentally repressing the fact that I must go do it.

Don't worry ... the needle shouldn't snap and splinter in your arm , as long as you don't tense up.
I'm sure you'll be fine 
oh I'm not worried about that, since the near sight of a needle makes me hyperventilate and makes my arms go totally limp.
