Man up, Nancy
Seriously, I've said far worse things in local than you and I've been fine so far (to put it in nice terms, I called someone 'a promiscuous female whom dwells amongst refuse found in the drainage ditches and has a propensity for gargling male ejaculate' before).

I've said it before, death threats and the cop-out "die" should be banned from any game. It's just wrong.
Calling someone a ***** ****** with a ***** and ***** while his ****** and ******** should just ******* go **** himself...that's fine

I called them A-holes in local using the whole word.
in response he told me to STFU twice and "DIE"
I know i cursed and am wondering if I will get a warning or a few day ban.
also telling someone to "DIE" cant that be taken as a life threat?
and of course abbreviated of curses is penalized to.
So im assuming the other person will be in more trouble than me.
Hmm, that sound like something schneirder/Princess Trinity would say.

Originally by: Seeah Yalv he said DIE twice AFTER my ship was popped and I was safely away ....
He was not referring to ingame.
I'm not sure how you could prove that. Unless there's more to the exchange than you've told us, there's no way to say he was telling you to die in real life.
Furthermore, telling someone to die doesn't amount to a threat. It amounts to childish abuse. Telling them you intend to make them die would be a threat. Did he give any indication of such an intention?
Finally, there's the matter of ability. In British law at least (and bear in mind that few interactions within a game would be dealt with by law - most would be judged by company policy), a threat isn't considered a 'real' threat unless the person being threatened has a genuine belief that the threat will be carried out. For that to be possible, the person making the threat would need the will to do it and the ability to do it. While a threat over chat on EVE might demonstrate the will, it doesn't indicate the ability: how does he know where in the world you are? How would he find you? Could he physically reach you if he knew? Would he, as an example, fly from Sydney to London simply to assault you for some in-game offence?
As for your abusiveness towards him, I think the GMs will have seen it all before and, as a previous poster has said, unless you were saying something particularly offensive, I can't imagine a bit of angry name-calling is going to warrant a ban. But, as also mentioned before, it is going to strip you of your dignity and make you look like a really bad loser. |

'Please Miss. That bad man just said swears at me. Tell him Miss. He's horrid.'
I get a funny feeling that some people live a very sheltered life. I'm not saying that swearing and obscenity is big or clever, but c'mon....it's part of life, and most definitely part of life online.
A kid who gets his ass whooped at home for swearing is in his element in Eve....unless you email his mom.
