I was going to post some examples of recruitment questions from recent interviews but not sure I would get away with it ... ah what the hell ;)
(the following are a random selection of questions asked by JF interviewers within the confines of the extremely professional environment of recruiting discussions. Randomly hacked about and with the names of applicants removed to protect the innocent)
Jade Constantine > first off though, do tell us what you know about JF, and our history, interests and modus operandi?
Charity Regard > and what colour panties do you most frequently wear?
Maud Dib > so your ok with losing your ship and getting podded if it happens?
Charity Regard > hummm would a girl in your ship make things more enjoyable and if so what would the first thing be that you would want her to do?
Jasmine Constantine > what is your pet hate in eve?
Shintoko Akahoshi > What sort of person would you say you were?
Jade Constantine > so, aside from making money and progressing in game (resource wise) what kind of name would you like to have made for yourself in 6 months time?
Miso > have you done any pvp at all?
Jade Constantine > are there limits to the deeds you would consider appropriate sacrifice to the cause?
Maud Dib > How well do you follow orders during a fight?
Charity Regard > whats your favorite fabric? Vinyl, leather, cotton, silk, lace?
Maud Dib > Do you prefer group activities or solo work?
Jade Constantine > name a cause that you consider to be worth dying for my love?

Maud Dib > we roleplay quite a lot, and have a fairly adult approach to sexuality, humour and allusion, meaning people talk about all sorts of things and can get very flirty and sometime graphic on occasion but it's all in fun. Our corp chat can get pretty adult is that a problem?
Miso > suffice to say, we like to cause trouble and stick our fingers in many pies ;) do you like to stick your finger in creamy places hun?

jericho fraction doesnt roleplay much, their roleplaying consist of role playing bunch of smoked out hippies bent on destroying order and sending us all into to lawless oblivion.

I think it's very difficult at this point in the game to do any kind of major role playing. It really sucks too, the oportunity and the world is there. Just the lack of content, and mixed ideas about what direction CCP is going to steer eve as far as role play in either race wars or events are concerned. Jericho Fraction imo is doing what they can at this point in the game. They get critisized by pretty much everyone for their opinions on several subjects. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and decisions. Especially if the members of their corporation support their ideals.
Like I said, I'm not sure what CCP is going to do in the future with roleplay. When some true features are added that can truely be taken advantage of by role play fans, you can bet that JF will be ontop of any such event.
Here's to your future success, and boot calvert out of your corp for me.

I think a discussion on what types of tools and features would increase the ability to actually role play... er would make a good thread...
For one, I think actual roles would be good, hard to play a role when eventually everyone who plays enough will have the exact same skills.
But that is neither here, nor there, nor the time for such a discussion.

Failing that, just stay in char whilst in game.
I don't RP per se, I'm not a hardcore mental RP'er by any means, and JF corp chat tbh is for the most part non-RP. La Maison is a different matter
But, its easy to stay in character, and not let things get personal. Just have a rough idea of how you character is, and play to it. Doesn't require much effort at all really.
I think you're right Wren, this does warrant its own thread.
