when (if) ccp opens new star systems they should allow us players to name them (of course can;nt be stupid names) they can charge like 50-100 dollars for the honour and make alot of cash I know I'd buy one :)

Tbh, should be able to name systems you have Sov 4 in, and the GMs should be allowed to revert them if they're stupid.

Even sov 1 or 2 should allow star renaming, just have a queue that GM reviews occasionally to ensure its not offensive blah blah blah.

That's almost as stupid as the "companies" that claim you can name a star and they send you like a map of its location, and a certificate, and you give them some amount of money.

I heartily endorse this idea, although I do think it should be something that requires a significant expenditure of resources to accomplish. Something on the order of 200,000,000 isk or so. That would make renaming systems worthwhile if you used them a lot but would stop people from trying to constantly rename everything.

I say, let owners be able to name all 00 stars, but hte original designation always stays as a rider at the end of the 'given' name.
Be neat to see how Goonswarm would rename alot of bob space.

I think that just to limit it so we don't have to have GMs working on this 24/7 it should be player built outpost systems. You spend the 30 bill plus the POS and fuel to secure it. This would open funny system and outpost combos.

well they have to be named ok if your paying $100 a star its doable, if they just let anyone name systems they own then it would be too much extra work for devs unless it cost alot isk then it might be good isk sink
