Am trying to put together a Taranis to tackle with. Hoping for a bit of insight =] Don't have a rediculous amount of SP, so bear with me.
Highs: 3x light ion II's, 1x small nos Meds: 1x 20km, 1x 1mn mwd I, 1x web Lows: 1x rcu, 2x cap power relays
Goal with this is to not be hit - even if Im webbed I'll still be well over 1000m/sec - with no plates and no hardeners, if I get hit it'll hurt but I should still be able to tackle pretty well since I will be pretty quick. Base speed is roughly 3300 m/s with mwd active - cap simulation says I can go about 45 sec before I run out, and when I turn off mwd cap actually regens with everything else on. Suggestions?

1000m/s? U mean 330m/s. 330m/s with cruiser sized signature. I dont recommand blasters because you have to be so close, when you get webbed you might not be able to get out in time.

Use rails to tackle and a 20k scram with a cap recharge/mwd/ODIIs then for pvp Ive been thinking of :
3x neutron
mwd, scram, web
sar, mapc, dcu/mag stab

I being a person that flys a taranis this is what you should fly
3x Neutron IIs
1x 20k scram, 1x web, 1x MWD II
1x mapc, 1x dcu, 1x small armor rep
or
3x 125m II,
1x 20k scram, 1x web, 1x mwd II
1xcpr (you can replace for istabs), 1x dcu 1x overdrive -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I like neut setup but it needs a mag stab !

Edited by: Rainhailer on 17/09/2007 03:11:27 I like to run: 3x 125 IIs 1mn MWD II, Warp Disruptor II, Tracking Disruptor II Local Hull or T2 Overdrive 2x Local Hull or T2 Nanos
If you want rigs, drop the Nanos, use Polycarbons and use two more Overdrives. Use 2x Warrior or Hobgoblin IIs for drones. Or two webbing/some kind of ewar drones.
Great tackler and if you use T2 lows over Locals, and use rigs, you should easily get over 6-6.5 km/s!

Replace the rep with a magstab for ganking goodness

Taranis isnt a natural tackler to start with, its slow. With that setup missiles will hit u and so do drones. Try a speed fit in a ares if u can only use gallente intys. U r a tackler, so the only thing u have to do is hold down your prey till the cavalary arrives.
Good luck

Unless, you know, you want to be more than a tackle-*****, and have fun.
