IAC was defending vs BobMcFix(insert other alliances here), and a few skirmishes ensued. They won some, we won some, but in general it was a lot of waiting around in the trenches on either side. They got some ganks, we got some ganks, and so on. We were slightly in the lead, say 400-500M by the evening. And then it happened... Since TT makes such a good show as bait, he warped his Archon to the 25s gate. Standing instructions was for the other carriers in system to warp to him if the bogeys bit. Sure enough, he gets bubbled, and we pile up on the gate. I think we were 5 or 6 carriers (Chimeras, Archons, etc.), plus 40ish support. We were killing the BobMcFix coming in at a steady rate. It was totally crazy! Lag started kicking in big time. Slowly but surely, their reinforcements started to overcome ours, and then heavy ECM and dampening was brought to bear. The carriers were too far apart, and lag far too heavy, for them to support each other effectively. Our support fleet got wiped out, and the carriers remained. TT's was primary, of course , and he went down slowly, and got popped. The other carriers got popped in turn, tackled, jammed and bubbled. The support gang reformed, but could not push BobMcFix and friends back. The goons came in to help out, but it was too late. Thanks for the fun fight, as I said in 25s local, it was worth the loss of capitals for this very exciting fight. GF all. And Buxaroo, you will continue to be called primary. EDIT: CCP fix the lag - Got grief?

We were defending the 25S gate when BoBMcFix started jumping in and then the carriers came in to help with the defense. We eventually got overwhelmed by their numbers until we only had the 5 carriers left which eventually all died just a few minutes before the Goons arrived.

I was bait when I warped to the station earlier tho =] Funny how I was arguing with Gomez earlier today about how stupid it is to put carriers on gates, and then I went against my own advise and cost us 5-6 carriers ;\ HURF DURF. Goons showed up to save the day, like 4 minutes after the last carrier died, engaged and lost, I think they expected more IAC backup, but our guys were pretty much out of ships by that point. http://eve.klaki.net/
