For what it's worth, I noted that an hour before the engagement, 8 carriers warped to the FAT gate in 25s and repeatedly dropped and returned fighters to their bay, even though there was no opposing force on the opposite side of the gate.
What was up with that? You had noted Cov Ops pilots in local, so you were fully aware that no one was about to jump in. What's the explanation for 8 carriers dropping fighters on a gate that is safe?
That aside, while the above is somewhat mysterious, I don't believe in Fighter lag tactics. They don't contribute as much as you'd think, it's the sheer number of pilots that are creating the lag.
Soo. Can we please keep the "Fighters lag Haxploit" in the OOY thread? It'll inevitably turn into flaming, and almost all of the posts in this thread are posts of "Good fight for all." so let's maintain that positive atmosphere.

Don't know where that is coming from, I know I was using sentries and heavies early in the fight. Later, when I was lagged, jammed and dampened to hell, and our support was gone, I was releasing mediums to try to pop some of your support as they would aggro me.
Of course, without being able to focus on one target, you know how effective that is...

Funny how I was arguing with Gomez earlier today about how stupid it is to put carriers on gates, and then I went against my own advise and cost us 5-6 carriers ;\
HURF DURF.
Goons showed up to save the day, like 4 minutes after the last carrier died, engaged and lost, I think they expected more IAC backup, but our guys were pretty much out of ships by that point.
None of this would have happened if you have dialed 1-800-HELP-ME-THUG

Anyway although i realy dont like you ingame but props for being on the field and bringing it over and over unlike some of the cowards we fight , respect.

That it was... I lost track of how many I lost... Don't think I even got on any killmails... I'd warp in and my screen would freeze, then I'd wake up in the station and throw another ship together :)

As some know, I play at a lan cafe. The comps there pretty much suck and when there are more than 60 ships on grid - I am pretty much worthless.
I was really surprised with the lag NOT being an issue for the first 30-45 minutes of non stop shooting. As the number of wrecks grew, so did the lag. By the time the last carrier went down, I was in slide show mode. I was ready to jump out of the system knowing I would be frozen in round 2. Goons warped in 300k on grid, I couldnmt resist!  There was a wreck right on their fleet! So like everyone else, I warped into them hoping I could do something.
By the time I was able to take controll of my ship - it was a pod. well worth it! least I could do after round one! It was definatly all the wrecks on grid that did me in.
For the record, that was the second best fight I have been in - in over 4 years... GF to everyone who was there!

That pretty much sums it up from my end. FWIW, I don't think it has anything to do with your rig, I saw the same lag creep.
CCP fix the lag.

If it turns into a slideshow - its your pc sucking. If it turns into a slow loading fest, its their servers.
The fight in FAT 2 weeks ago wiht over 300 invovled was fine for me regarding graphics, i coudl zoom aroudn fine w/o lag but the modules and other interactions were just screwed.
