Can't get in, can't get out. I ventured beyond the Jita event horizon and now time has apparently stopped.

Same...been trapped for over an hour now trying to log in..... made the mistake of trying to fly into Jita to pick up some loot that I had left there a while ago.

Same problem. I have two characters, one docked, one that jumped, both black screen "Entering game...." and nothing.
I know alot of folks say "don't go" but that's sort of like saying it hurts when I do this so the doc just shrugs and says "Don't do that."
This is unacceptable....if an entire portion of the game simply doesn't work. |

EVE has 5334 solar systems, and 1 of them has issues, that leaves 5333 solar systems at your disposal.
0,018% of the game doesn't work as it should in weekends, how about you explorer the other 99,982% of EVE in the weekends (and no, i don't mean hog the forums, and spam whines about jita everywhere by that), and don't go to Jita then.

Probably because if you read what I said, TWO of my freaking characters are STUCK in there, and I can't even LOG them in to explore these other wonderous systems you speak of.
Typical answer "Sorry, the 1% of our product you want to use doesn't work. But we have 99% of the other parts working. Too bad you can't GET TO THEM."

If only one solarsys has issues it should be quite easy to fix it :-P Can't log in either...

Well now, this is bordering on stupid...almost 3 hours now and I still can't log in to play..... I swear.... if I ever get logged back in I'll throw all the rest of my gear in my Badger 2 and leave Jita forever.....

In all MMO's there is always central hub or 2 where a lot of the players congregate, chat, find groups, sell stuff, buy stuff. Its part of being an MMO, and there always laggy no matter what game.

folks, this happens near every weekend, though with peak numbers of late it's definitely getting worse.
solution: log into an alt on your stuck account and petition stuck. ccp staffs extra hamsters explicitly for this purpose. no offense to gm's meant: once i was moved out of jita within 2 minutes of my petition.
here's hoping it's still up to snuff,

When you log out, just go 1 jump out of Jita, problem solved.
Everyone that has played EVE for more then one week, knows Jita is a problematic system. The have assigned all possible power to it now (which is a dedicated CPU for that system). They are working on getting multiple cpu's assigned to a system, but this is a long term solution, and takes some coding effort and tush, time...

They ould love to get the heck out of Jita ,and most of them didnt log out there because they like the stinch of the decaying fish there!!!but they connection in / near there and cant get out no.

People whine that other people should stay out of Jita. If that really was the easiest solution then everyone would do it and then Jita would be empty, hence no lag. The fact that there is a lot of people there indicates that people like to be there. It's a capital system, it's a central place to base yourself when you are new to the game. Its well known and there are lots of people, a place to rest from the grind of ratting.
What does bother me though is the congestion around the stations. There are often many ships in the doorway of these stations that simply don't need to be. I left one of these recently after collecting a good deal on ware only to find myself spending a great deal of time in a spaceship pinball game as I bounced from AFK hull to AFK hull. It wasn't fun as the lag in that system means that any command given has a 5 second delay.
A simple solution should be to mop up these floating obstacles floating about the entrances to these stations. All it needs is an anti-afk timer which auto-docks them if they are in the area too long.

I know, i know.. Once in, you can't get out... (IT'S A TRAP!)
Best solution: Evade Jita at all costs, and when stuck, petition or get out in non peak hours... But still, Don't go to Jita, evading the problem is simpler then solving it in this case...
