replace X's with hex code, MUST be in lowercase.

just remove the space between < and c when making the bio

That won't work. Doesn't work to add </color> tags either. 
Of course, "AA" is alpha, RR red, GG green, BB blue, all in hex, like 0xff0bf3d2.
Edit: Umm, wtf, now it works!
Quite sure I did it the exact same way

Some of those are zeros not O's.. and you need 0xff before the 6 other numbers/letters.

only people "external" to your char can see the colour changes, you wont see them your self, so you'll have to use a 2nd account or a mate to tell its working.

With regards to paragraphing, I believe that the standard <p> works, as per html formatting.

Sometimes it only displays correctly on your own Bio and not on anybody elses. Ive gotten color and paragraphing to work on my wifes char account without any problems - neither work on my character bio at all.
Go figure.

They work just fine if you use them right.
Once you put the <br> or <p> in you *CAN NOT* look at your own bio under your char without the game removing the tags automatically. If you look at it you will have to put the tags back in. (use notepad to save a formated copy)
On a side not - undock and 'show info' on your self will allow you to see your own colored/formated bio.

Or, when in space, right click yoru ship, "show info" then click your character portrait (the one beside your ship picture)
This shows you your Profile Information as other people see it.
The color tags also work for your Corp info. Same example as above to see it in action, just click the corp logo after yoru character portrait.
