Well, I have an alt called "CynoAlt1". I'm probably going to make "CynoAlt2" and "CynoAlt3" at some point. So I vote no.
As an aside, you know you can get pretty decent eve names by spelling normal stuff backwards. "Tax Fraud" becomes "Duarf Xat". "Anti Freeze" becomes "Itna Ezeerf" (I actually named one of my alts that).

Well, if they stopped allowing numbers and symbols in character names, it wouldn't be a tragedy.
However, please, for the love of <InsertDeityName>, allow more than just one space.

I've been using the pseudonym of Kaspian since about 1980 for RP, I switched out the "s" for a "5" in reference to a book called Snow Crash by Neil Stephenson.
Coincidentaly my son is called Kaspian and even had a rumour going around friends and associates that it was spelt witha "5"

Until they delete old, unused names, nope.
Some of use don't even have random number strings. 2150 is from one of my favorite RTSs, Earth2150.
You not getting it isn't my problem.

My names an old internet name, from back when I was playing Age of Empires 1 on "MSN Zone", and has been liberally used for every online game, chat engine and forum I've ever been on since.
I would only have considered changing it if "Patch" was still free 
I always treat character names not like real people names ("John Smith" or whatever) but more like call signs. You know, like "Starbuck" and "Hotdog" in BSG.
It does stop the nerd rage boiling up in my gut when I see people with funny names, at the very least.

I wish I didn't have to put numbers in my name, but since CCP will not let me have just Elysium since its a constellation in Curse. FFS Let me change my name  , been using it since my rogue spear days, after I stole the name from my friend.

Well someone flying around calling himself 'e-p33n 137' is kinda hard to take serious.
For me personally, i agree i was very lazy when i came up with my name as i never intended to play beyond the 2 week trial i never bothered to come up with something more original (i still LOL when i remember me thinking this way WAY back hehe)
If ccp would remove the numbers... well.. ok, as long as i get a chance to change my name 1 time for free
