And you really think we would put anythign alliance founded in Tyrrax hands? You know some alliances don 't automagically select their leaders to get the big toys.
You pick the most well skilled person for the job, as well as the financially best off, as they can fund officer and faction mods for it etc. That may very well be the alliance leader.
