Has a damage mod now? This DLA is on my ratting raven, and it contains a damage mod. This pic is untouched and uploaded as is to eve-files. Why is it that every other DLA i look at has no damage modifier?
Drone Link Augmentor with a Damage Modifier of 1.15....how?
Any idea on why im the only one in my corp alliace seeing it this way? And yes ive tried re-logging, but it still shows.... |

This is definitely a shop. I know because of the pixels and having seen many shops in my time.

you just have to love how a completely valid topic gets derailed by completely useless oneline responses.
kiddies, do us all a favour and either get back to whichever crappy game you came from or refrain from posting unless you have something to say that people actually... can read without completely wasting their time.
that being said, lets get back to the DLA with a damage mod.
in fact, this is not the first one i see. there were several around, my bet is, its a bug that gets fixed and reintroduced every once in a while.
you can see the drone behaviour as a whole make advancements as well as experience the setbacks in said development. i dunno whats going on, maybe its some pieces of code get changed back and forth and we only get to see the resulting hiccups.
Iirc the DLA with damage mod doesnt have any effect, which is a bit hard to test... because if you fit and unfit it, chances are damage mod will be gone. so you CANNOT sell it for an insane amount of money as an "expensive collectors item". you will never know when the damage mod will finally just vanish.
only way to test it would be to build the exact same ship with a "normal" DLA and compare damage output over time on a corpmate.
some things that come to mind:
if, for whatever reason, that damagemod has ANY effect at all its a real shame you didnt put it on a droneboat.
if youre feeling ballsy do me a favour and remove and refit that DLA to different ships, and tell me if the damage mod stays there.
and finally:
Or are you telling me ALL DLAs have this damage mod listed now? because back then, it was only a few, which made the whole thing even funnier.

Your lack of a shift key made me waste my time reading your post.
There is no hidden damage bonus on DLAs, most especially not a 15% one. You think something like that could exist for even a few weeks without being massively exploited?
On rare occasions I pop the two DLAs off my missioning Domi because everything is short ranged, and it sure as hell doesn't make my drones that much less effective. This is a dumb topic, a dumb question, and nobody seems to have a sense of humor.

imo its either...
- a UI bug where its displaying the wrong value/bonus
- a codeing bug where some ancient unintended bonus is overrideing pureley by chance, and really is giveing this particuler drone link aug a damage bonus
- a dupelicate test module that was never ment to be seeded thats somehow found its way into the game
if it is photoshoped, its the best one i've ever seen and someone has spent wayyyyyy too much time on it, and i highley doubt thats the case.
(tip: open in photo editing software, max contrast and brightness untill the backgound image shines through the UI panel, eve's UI is pritty hard to fake because of this as its damn hard to make the background texture and text shadows look unaltered, esp in uncompressed .bmp's)

sheesh, dont you get it?
there ARE really DLAs in game that got this bonus listed. afaik you can even link them in chat windows. so you can SEE it has this dmg bonus in the attributes tab and be sure its not shopped.
the question is.. how did it get there, and how does one obtain these? and of course... does the extra mod work? are there old blueprints around that build those?

Once again, we'll spell it out for you.
There are hundreds of items in the database that don't exist ingame, and will not exist ingame. Check out Quickfit's item search, everything is there. Just because someone mistakenly allowed it to be linked ingame means nothing. DLAs do not have a damage bonus, and you cannot have one that does.
