Right now we are doing highest quality level 4's with 4 ravens all with shield transfer arrays and we are rocking them all.
Could we do lvl 5's with the same setup?

I can do every lvl 5 I've encountered so far with a T2 tanked Dominix and Guardian with 4 large named remote reps and 2 large energy transfers, if that gives you some idea of the difficulty level. Can take awhile, especially those missions with capital ships, simply due to only having one ship doing damage, which your group should be better equipped to deal with. Be aware though that the rewards aren't substantially better than a lvl 4.

ISK and LP no assets and loot drops yes. Why are rewards low atm mostly due to factors such as not that many peeps running em atm due to low sec ness

Well our stradegy is to sit in a group o' ravens and just launch 24 torpedoes every 13 seconds to whatever. Whoever is getting hit is supported by the people who aren't.
I just saw stuff like "kill the carrier and get 100mil" and all. We mostly go after bounties and I was guessing that we'd get more of that from lvl 5's.

SOME L5s are against opposing factions.
My corpmates got "against Angels" L5 missions too.
Bounties galore.

'Fate of Angels' for example had bounties (50m?). Loot was atrocious, salvage terrible. approx 10k lp, 1.2m reward (approx same bonus but I wasn't fast enough).
'Stray Caldari Carrier' did not have bounties. Lots of Caldari Navy tags (35m?), horrible loot otherwise, and the salvage was terrible. approx 10k LP, 1.47m reward (approx 2m bonus which I was not fast enough for).
Missions solo'ed in a nighthawk, with a big thank you to Mikal Drey for helping me kill the Caldari Carrier, which I did not have the dps for.
Both missions were accepted from an agent located in low sec (0.4). However, the missions themselves were in high sec.

When my corp did it we had 1 person tanking, 1 person with 8x large solace remote reppers and 5 large armor repper drones and the rest damage dealers. the persons tank never came close to breaking.

So much for L5's being "group" or "carrier" content.
Also if the mission was based in high sec space how do CCP expect L5's to be Capital Ship based ?

They don't. There were ideas for higher level missions that would suited to capitals but that has not happened yet. What we have so far is just level 5s which are far more suited to a small gang than capitals.

tanked one level 5 with a drake... until the abaddon shot the spawn trigger and got popped by 20 fighters
and a corp mate soloed a level 5 with an abaddon.

Been doing these alone in a passive ishtar 5 extenders and 5 shield rechargers with rigs as long as u take the webbing batterys out its not to hard
