Ganked a few privateers left and right and then all privateers we saw in a system where docked (duh). With that said, can someone in privateers explain to me how the hell my gang could kill a buzard in highsec that cloaked 100km off a gate in ships that didnt go above 1400m/s ? Dont they know afk'ing is bad ?

IF youre camped etc, basically scanning looting, savlaging in numbers seems a bit slow going but with enough persistance could be interesting Group mission invasions

As I told you in local yesterday, getting killed is a business expense we accept. Besides, I will gladly take the 14 to 1 ratio over our wt's any old day. I think they add a degree of risk to high-sec, and while I have never been killed by one, I like their style. So I guess this is a crap floats downstream situation, since the Goons are always looked down on (for no good reason) I would think a Goon would be the least likely to turn around and call another out. . .but the world is full of crazy people.

Syrup I have to agree with Syrup, having had an old account in Privateers Corp up til the nerf and now rejoined the alliance with a new corp being a Privateer is a very different ballgame. Yes there are fewer targets (but still plenty in the obvious places), it is proving to be quite profitable though.

Don't get me wrong here I loved to kill stuff in empire and there are a lot of ppl who think it was the most fun they had in their whole eve career, but I don't think it still works with around 5 wardecs. cheers

The Hooch Minmatar Privateers Privateer Alliance	Posted - 2007.09.22 16:08:00 - [27] The old Privateers grew too fast and got out of control, hundreds of guys in small areas, nobody could make decent money or even have a good small squad fight once in awhile. Now we have better time zone coverage, fewer members, but with greater skills on average than the pre-nerf days. Our marks and contracts are picked now for the greatest yeild of targets per cost of the decs. AKA quality verses quanity. We do attack large corps but mostly confine our business to the large empire presence alliances that allow for making risky attacks worth it for profitable gain. We do get the random hunting fleets now and then that come for us and allow for some nice small fleets fights and that is fun. But mostly we are looking to make money by preying on those brave souls that make a run at the trade routes. Privateers now is not the Privateers then. Any good alliance learns from its mistakes and victories, and so we have learned. We are not a knock down drag out fight kind of alliance, if you come for us expect to be avoided until we decide the fight is on our terms, not yours. We will fight when the risk is worth the gain, call us cowards or whatever you can dream up. We are a business, not an ego driven or warped sense of honor organisation. It's about the money first, then the fight. Leaner, meaner, smarter, and more effective is what the new Privateers is all about. The old days are gone forever, but the future is still bright for us. We took the nerf headshot and are adapting it and are not going away any time soon. If you're an old timer Privateer, consider returning to the fold, its not the same, its better! In terms of pure fun it cant be compared to what it once was. The only way to accomplish that is to have dozens of wars which just isnt possible anymore. But if isk is your primary objective more so than pure fun this is still a decent place to get that accomplished and imo easier than before. Syrup
