The point was though, Texas has banned the Peta commercial she appeared naked in, in what I presume, was a whirlwhind of irksome christian rage. Being that we live in the 21st century I was wondering why this still happens. It seems like such an infantile move imho.

 They have the biggest **** industry, yet they can't see a boob or they freak out.
They have ratings for everything including pancakes, sue everything that is showing a drop of blood or whatever in videogames and moves, yet allow & bloody encourage everyone to carry guns since it's a basic right ?
Seriously, I can smell the hypocrisy and I'm 6000 km away. Some people just need a good slap in the face. It's a public secret that the ones prohibiting nekkid boobs are the biggest dirtbags of all. How many christian and conservative senators were already caught in the act in ghey bars, stripjoints and with prostitues ? Indeed, a lot.

Even I will never understand why we show violence left n right on tv but you hardly can't even get a good boob shot.
Or why we have talk show hosts like Ricky Lake, Oprah, and Rosie when places like Italy and France have drop dead gorgeous ladies entertaining the masses.
In fact I noticed a string of movies that came out where they dropped the rating from R to PG-13 just by taking out the corny love scenes.
This truly is one of the few times I'd wish we were like everyone else. Seriously, if you don't like whats on TV, CHANGE THE CHANNEL. Don't ruin it for the rest of us. Give em enough times and the only options we'll have is Barney, Maybe Teletubbies if they 'un***' the purple one, and full house reruns.
Edit: oh yeah, Texas banned the Dixie Chicks too but that's ok in my book. They suck and they're ugly.

The Ad was not banned by the state or city.
Comcast decided not to air it in Texas. This is self-censorship not government censorship.
...and I think the anti-cattle industry message is more controversial in Texas than the nudity. Plus PETA is pretty well hated around here.
The Texas government has never banned an ad, and there have been more suggestive things on TV than that.

Proof that we are omnivorous for a damned good reason (brain food) and that going omni was the best decision of my life.
On a side note - I am certain I could convince Ms Silverstone to have some good old fashioned sausage....

I really do think comcast pulling the ad has more to do with PETA, and the general message than the nudity. She said steak makes her sick. Oprah was sued for saying something similar.
