Hello I'm Robogod, and I've made a calculator for accurately predicting the out-come of refining ICE. The great thing about this tool is that it doesn't need to be downloaded, and it works in the IGB so you don't have to "tab out" of eve to use it, only down side is that you can't use it offline, but tbh if you don't have internet how do you play eve... or read this? now it currently only calculated amount of ice products you get out of refining ICE, but I plan on making an inverse calculator to figure out how much ice is needed to get certain amount of products, that gets a bit more complicated as it can be many combos of things. I also plan on releasing an IGB ore refining calculator if this one proves to be worth while, so if you like my calculator please show your appreciation by donating isk to me to help... encourage me to continue my work.
Any suggestions for other IGB tools or... anything for the IGB or out of game are welcome, and bugs or mistakes in prediction would also be appreciated thank you.
And now for the program and the point of this post, this is on a private server if it lags for a second wait till a 404 page shows up if that happens try again in a second, if i get feed back that this happens alot, I'll get it up some where that can hopefully handle the load. AND NOW IT LIVES : EVE-ICED the url for you to use it in the IGB is the same here for ease of geting :) : http://axon1.no-ip.biz/eve-iced/ice.aspx
Thanks for looking at it and any feed back and donations are welcome, -Robogod "The Machine" |

Ok, I've updated the server so you don't have to type the ice.aspx part of the url and it will still take you there, that should make it a little easier for using in the IGB without having to type so much.
and feed back, compliments, or general pats on the back (or iskys ) are welcome, -Robogod "The Machine" |

Changed forum topic so you know what it does at a glance, has anyone tried it? any feed back or conformation that it's accurate, or in accurate would be nice, i think the normal is right the only part i have questions about is the accuracy when refining at POSes so if i can get some conformation form anyone who refines ice at a POS that would be great.

Maybe a bug: I get the same amount of products, now matter what I refine.
Settings used: 3,5,4,0,50% Number of ice: 1
No matter what ice type I choose, I get 48,24,1,285 when I calculate.

because ice allways mines at 100% no matter where you refine

Edited by: Dretzle Omega on 25/09/2007 13:51:02 Glare Crust gives me significantly different numbers than the others. However, some selections, like Prestine White Glaze, just switch back to White Glaze and give me the numbers of White Glaze. ------------------- 4 8 15 16 23 42 108 |

to hele: it shouldn't be exactly the same, the isotope type should change for different types, and if you choose krystalos type of ice or a pristine white glaze will give a bit more that just white glaze will in different categories, let me know if the problem is still there if you try all the types because for the most part they will look similar unless you try a higher quality ice or one of the non-racial ices.
to snikje: actually ICE is very much effected by your skills standings and station refine efficiency, if you can prove to me that it doesn't by backing your statement up with facts then I'll change my idea on that, but as far as i know ice currently is effected by that.
to omega: well the isotope type will go back to the same but if you look at it it should go up more because essentially the 2 ice types are similar (same race of ice) but one is harder to find and gives slightly better yield, but if you write down the numbers you put in and the output, and the out puts are the same please post the input and output and I'll look though it to see what the problem is

One example:
Ice Processing: 5 Refining: 5 Refinery Efficiency: 5 Standings: 0 Base: 50% Num Refined: 1 White Glaze: 48, 24, 1, 285 Pristine White Glaze: 48, 24, 1, 285
I tried the above with num refined at 100 and still got the same results for both. When I would input Pristine White Glaze, upon page reload the drop down would say White Glaze.
Actually, I get the same numbers, it seems, no matter what type of ice (ice, glaze, mass, and icicle) I input. Only the labels sometimes change, from oxygen isotopes to helium isotopes.
Num Refined: 100 4750, 2375, 95, 28500
Glare Crust, Gelidus, Dark Glitter, and Krystallos all revert to Glare Crust and give the same: Num Refined: 100; 95000, 47500, 2375, 0 ------------------- 4 8 15 16 23 42 108 |

huh that's odd, I'll look at that, didn't use to do that so I've got to see what could have changed. thank you for letting me know -Robogod "The Machine" |

Okey! I got it fixed, odd that it all the suddenly stopped working right, but essentially it was reverting to the type of isotopes first option then calculating from that for some reason, because it never use to do that i don't think, well thank you for catching that guys, if you see anything else let me know -Robogod "The Machine" |

can i get a confirmation that it is in fact working for you? also has anyone found this useful and would like to see more stuff like it for the IGB?

Hi, nice tool you got there, been working on one myself but apparently i got too lazy .. well the matter is the standing calculation doesn't work right. All skills to 5, 50% Base (tried with 75% aswell). Standing set to 6.7 and yet i get 29860 Isotopes instead of 30000 it should be. I think somewhere areound 6.7 Standing you get the 0% tax.

huh I thought it was at 8 it was 0% tax, i mean at 6.7% i think it may be below .1% but think it may still be there, i'll look into it, and if anyone *knows* please tell, also if anyone can check, like if they have 10 or 100 ice there refine, please test my calculate for accuracy with standing and what not, if it's different than what you really get, please give me the standing you have to that corp, the % they take and the number of refined ice, and each ice product, along with the type of ice and your skill levels that you put in the calculator. If anyone can do that for me, that would be great, or if several people could with different standings etc, that would be much apperciated.

wait. 6.67 makes it = 0 or makes it round to 0? i mean wouldn't make much difference if your standing happens to be 6.67 but if it's not, figuring a formula to figure it, may be off by quite a bit for figuring other standings, so still need samples and testing specifics please if anyone could help would be nice. -Robogod "The Machine" |

I think i may start a ore refine tool for the IGB here in the next week or two, any things you guys would like to see in it? also anything you want added to the ice tool, or a good job maybe

would anyone be interested in an off-line version of this? I won't release source code, but i can make a version for people to use off-line, not in the IGB but if no one wants it and no one has said anything about having connection errors with the server then i will not make an off-line version. -Robogod "The Machine" |

thank you Clearleaf that's about the only praise I've gotten for doing this... wait a second... it is! but yes, thank you it's always nice for a creator to have his work praised so thank you.
Though that doesn't mean I don't like you guys who gave me the constructive critisism and helped me fix that bug (that ended up being in the way the language handled the object not the code) so thanks guys keep using it and if any one wants to link to it from there site just let me know and give me credit!

thanks,
Well, I might have given praise for it as well, but I don't use it as I'm not at the point of mining ice yet. :) ------------------- 4 8 15 16 23 42 108 |
