Ahistaja GoonFleet GoonSwarm	Posted - 2007.09.23 12:16:00 - [241] I thought it was a really fun fight. Lag-wise better than Ooyz, where it took 45 minutes to even jump in, then 20 minutes of waiting for the grid to load, only to get popped by unseen enemies, or in worse case a rat spawn.

At alts and all people spitting on the Coalition, we don't forget a, b and c. BUT : d - we are still advancing on the front. e - we are the attackers since end of may now. f - objectives are complete (which were, of course, "let's all loose our ships") a, b and c, yes. a, b and c. But as objective as I might be, our opponents are pretty happy when they kill some of our cap ships. Might I say we are pretty happier when we take their systems ? 2isk

One thing I dont understand though is that we all pay the same for our subscriptions, so at the end of the day our investments in eve are the same. For my money I would rather have fun in pvp by winning pvp fights rather than loosing every single day and then being told by my leaders that its cool and doesnt matter cos we have another internet spacestation at the end of the day. The only way you can actually become better at pvp is by having something tangable to loose. Now I'm happier because we figth sometimes IQ 120 in PR \o/ To your concern, I'd ask a question : what about RISE, your ally, then ? They loose ships, fights and they are told "it's ok, don't bother". I also don't agree, there, when you say we loose every single day... omist fights were are not failures. Rise's fights were not failure. Feyth starts like a failure but battle don't make wars. My ennemy's point of vue about Bob's command : they target easy fights just to motivate members. They have a problem in seeing in long term. They invoke luck. Prove me wrong, it'll be okay. But there is a slight problem if I'm asking myself the question. Another thing that changed in six monthes : I feared "Magic Bob"... Now "Normal Bob" is just another Alliance like anyone. 2isk

Seldarine, goons turn up for fleet battles in the numbers they do because they want to, not because they're forced to in order to stay in their alliance or to impress their pubbie masters. They don't pay their subscription to "win PvP fights" and maybe you have trouble comprehending this but some people play EVE because it's fun. Fun being to ruin you guys.

I jump into a system, I lag for 5 minutes trying to load grid, I manage to turn on a module, for a further 20 minutes I zip around the grid trying to lock someone, the fight ends (possibly with me dying in the process). That's Eve's endgame. I'm sure there are people out there who still believe in the game, but for me, Eve's entertainment value has very little to do with spaceships any more. However, I still enjoy my time here; in Eve the fun is what you make of the metagame (I don't mean spying, I mean everything around the game: community, forums, friends and chat), because the game fails to deliver so hard.

Perhaps if the goons split into two teams and one roleplayed BoB in the downing of the POS you'd be happy? Woops, you're just a BoB pet, your happiness is of no concern in game and out.

The "I was drunk" excuse and the "It wasn't me, it was my Brother using my account" excuses are both just about as bad. If I was the fleet commander who lead that slaughter I would be ashamed of myself and feel terible for costing those flying under me their hard earned ships and modules, and not laughing about it like it doesn't really matter and making lame excuses for my poor judgement and decision making during the battle in question.
