i don't remember the exact numbers, but i think that blowing up a ship gives you a -0.1 sec? well, i like the pvp, but i'm concerned that since im most situations i'm the one that engages, and then destroys a ship, soon enough my sec status will hit too low for me to move around in empire. what should i do to either increase my sec status or to at least not have it go down so fast? someone told me that doing missions will increase my sec, but i absolutely hate them. they are the reason why i made an alt to mine so i can have an income of isk. any other way to gain sec status other than doing missions?

your security rating will increase based in strongest npc pirate killed last hour or so (dont know exact numbers too :p). Fast talk skill (requires social 4) increase sec gain. If you dont want to do missions yoy may do some ratting, or get used to live in low sec. >8]

You should kill NPCs in 0.0. Sec status increases by a little each time you kill an NPC. Each system has a 15 minute counter which will give you a sec boost for largest NPC killed during that time. So what you do is run through 0.0 systems looking for the biggest battleship to kill in each. You'll make money for PVP meanwhile, so it isn't all that bad.
I read that it takes about 270 battleships to go from -10.0 to -2.0 of the kind that give you 0.19% sec status boost. So you'll have to kill approx 35 bs per 1 point of sec status. If you don't like ratting, then just forget about it and go all the way to -10. But 0.0 ratting sure beats empire mining for income.

I don't think this part is correct. You get sec boost for all npcs killed, as your sec goes up smaller ships will stop giving a boost. ------------------------------------- You are all worthless, and weak.

Not it is correct, only the highest increase each 15 (some say is has changed to each 10) minutes count. So if sec status is all you are interested in you can just go and kill 1 BS, then take a 10-15min break, kill one more and repeat. ---------------------------------------- A Guide to Scan Probing in Revelations |

I'm in agreement, it is the biggest kill in 15 mins. if you kill 5 battleship in that time you only get credit for one. Kill 3 battleships and some battlecruisers, only one battleship counts.
However, if you don't want security loss, but want to pvp, you should go to lawless space (0.0) of course thats much harder to survive in due to campers using warp bubbles

Yep, 0.0 space and empire war dec's are life savers for that sec status.

tbh, you can train a hauler/shopping alt on the same account in less than a week. Just go outlaw, it will probably happen anyway if you are into lowsec pvp - especially if you start podding people.
Just make sure you don't get stuck in a small lowsec area (although it's easy to move around highsec in a shuttle even at -10).
