Actually the madpact defeated itself with it's own politics. Sure both sides took losses here and there, but the madpact members were never really unified, which meant any of their efforts were in vein.
The night the node died, madpact members weren't waiting around to obtain 4 to 1 odds against smashkill, they were busy cutting through all the red tape that was going on behind the scenes. The objective started out being to kill the hostiles/hostile towers and replace them with friendly towers. However, sometime during the node crash, politics pretty much killed off any unified attempt to take back the system.
I mean seriously think about it, even when the node came back up you were still outnumbered 3 to 1. You guys don't find it the least bit strange that there was no attempt in killing the towers and eliminating hostiles from the system? I bet if you all weren't so busy chestbeating with your "100+ vs. 400+ and we won.. we rule, etc." you'd ask yourself "wtf just happened here?".
Regardless of all this.. some good fights were had and you now have the system, which in the end is all that matters, gratz.

I think you're undervaluing the importance of GoonDollars and that, from what I've heard, IO screwed big things up for system-control at almost every turn. Not to say SMASHKILL didn't earn the system, but the MAD Pact could have won.

i thought you had the bandwagon?

Well, I thought you had at least a shread of common sense to know the difference between calling the MAD pact a bandwagon (when you knew damn well about the pretenses it was under) and calling Ka-Tet bandwagoners.
They were neutral to the conflict, had no reason to switch standings on us other than because they thought they had smelled blood in the water.

If you know the history between SMASH/RK and Ka-Tet, I was almost expecting them to shoot FREGE first. :o For many many many months SMASHKill has been hearing about FREGE annoying Ka-Tet, and another entity which may or may not reveal itself. One thing we could be sure about is that Ka-Tet would side with us.

The target was selected on the basis that IO had it poorly fortified. I dare say attacking NGM would have been MUCH MUCH harder.
Anyway, as for SMASHKill defeating Mad Pact etc... Defeat is probably too strong of a word for the situation. SMASHKill with Atlas etc took MJ- from Imperial Order. Frege/Invictus/Iron/Rule of 3/ Etheral Dawn / DMC / Intrepid Crossing attempted to prevent us from doing so and for whatever reason were unable to.

After watching the movie (version of 200mb!) i only seen "the" blob, lag and a 25mins vagabond primarying pods above any shiptype called primary. As well having no scram point on a tackling close range setup......

The CCCP works with everything as long as you follow the instructions, such as remove all other codec packs before installing.

First off, congrats to SMASHKILL for an extremely effective campaign. Our (FREGE) killboard shows over 60bn damage inflicted on SMASHKILL, around the same taken, but there will be more across other MAD alliance killboards. Those guys have always brought it, they fought well and there's no shame in losing to them.
Second, FREGE is very much alive and kicking. It's true our member count has dropped considerably, but it's all good in my opinion; we're weeding out the fair weather friends from the corps we know we can trust. We continue to enjoy fighting off the RK gank squads in our home space, which I know most of us enjoy far more than the 500 man lag fests of MJ.
Third, the other drone region alliances are all alive and well too. The state of MAD is up in the air, but for FREGE at least, it's been a valuable exercise. We've come to see which alliances we can trust to the end (Intrepid Crossing and Legion of xXDeathXx; we love you guys) and we've seen which guys we shouldn't have touched with a barge pole (I'd rather be in RK than Ka-Tet; RK fight with honour, Ka-Tet stab their frig raids and backstab their friends).
All in all, props to smashkill for a well executed campaign, and here's to many years of pew pew.

Yes we too had a similar response in that you find out who are "fair weather" freinds both for in alliance members and other groups.
As for Xdeath some friendly advice keep a close eye on them, they have not only turned on people but stabbed people in the back by making up all sorts of lying and fake reasons.

We were in fact very curious while we were sitting for several hours at our pos repping it asking ourselves how we could be outnumbered 3:1 and no one attacking us. Regardless of the reasons I'd say a little cheat beating wont hurt. If say frege was willing to take a lead in the MAD pact you could have sent your 100 guys and see how the battle starts and either pulled out if things got to hot or called more people in if you started winning. The fact that no one was willing to do that while SmashKill + Atlas were sitting outside a pos reping it when out numbered so greatly deserves to do some cheatbeating.
