I have played eve since beta through many characters and in all the corners of the eve universe. Neaw the time has come for me to retire from eve.... all my characters have been sold and money been given to several corps. Neaw i present to you my final character wich will be given out for the sum of 1 isk.
1) I will pay the transfer fee.
2) Character will come with a fully fitted thanathos ... fits gowing to roughly 2 bil
3) Character will have a wallet ballance of nearly half of bilion isk
4) The sum of 1 isk will be payed randomly to a player in jita.

I reserve my right to choose the winner however i see fit!
that meaning i will give it to anyoane who impreses me in any way... write a mail about ur eve experience show me a killboard tell me how much u farm in wow... other mmorpgs u play etc (im looking for a new obsesion)....
in short TELL ME WHY U DESERVE THIS BEAUTIFUL CHARACTER AND ALL THE ASSETS
DISCLAIMER: If this experience wich is also my last experience in eve will turn into something i do not like i will just delete the character and all asets on him!

This is a very interesting idea indeed. I guess I'll try and see what I can do by impressing you, though I don't think that it will happen. I am not gonna post a video on youtube, well I would though I have no video equiptment at all on my comp =) I'm broke as hell atm with my new house payment. Good jokes...Well...uh...Naw not gonna do that either most of the really good jokes have been told way to often/frequently and over published in Maxim. As to other MMO's that I have played/play. I played EQ and EQ2 for a combined total of about 5 years having multiple end game characters all on Sullon Zek, the only true pvp server (god it was fun to run around with a maxed out bard training groups of 10 people). I played Asheron's Call 2 for abotu 5 months but gave up on that horrible piece of crap game. I played (and still have the account its just inactive) WoW for 2 1/2 years total once I moved home from school. I have 2 account one a 68 Orc Warrior which was one of the best on the server until the expansion, and the other a lvl 70 Undead Rogue with Karazhan loot. I didn't farm really, enough to get my flying mount and then it was straight to raiding/pvp (which my Rogue excells at). I wouldn't be even doing this but my Eve experience is somewhat lacking atm (even though it is my new passion) since my character was made in 2004 but I had to cancel my subscription due to RL matters that were unavoidable at the time. I don't have a lot of isk, maybe 85m but I am really looking for a character to get right back in where I left off. If you are serious about this then I couldn't think of a better possible home for him. I have a very good reputation and think of myself as a very good pvp'r (my actual sp's are the only thing holding me back as I only have 5m'sh atm). Anyways we'll see how this ends up. Whoever gets the character congratulations. Well back to Eve, time to log in and try to farm me some Sansha's =).

I've never written a poem, but for you toon, who would continue a long and exciting career in my tenure, I'll give it a shot:
Oh wo to thee who've just begun to Eve
and have but to witness the pros in their masses,
To those who've attempted to dance with those nemesis'
Soon realize their ships move like molasses,
After many engagement with limited success,
I now realize the skill timer runs the same,
For I, with 6 mil and that foe with 60 'n still
there's little I can do to even that game.
Through duty to the fleet I'll continue my repeat,
To join yet again another op,
From my head to my feet, I know I may again see defeat,
But not to go, for me, the fun would then stop.
And so brings me today, I log in to see that, 'Oh yay!'
I still have a cruiser left to fence,

Reasons why you should transfer the character to me
1) I am in your alliance, meaning you'll be performing the ultimate sacrifice in order to further the alliance's progress
2) EVE is very fun for me, and the transfer will allow me to do many more things than I can right now. I also would like to see how drones are in combat, plus Gallente ships are the best looking ones, in my opinion.
3) Because I am going to write some jokes, which are..
a) Knowledge is power, power corrupts, corruption is a crime,
and crime doesn't pay. So in the end, school makes you poor.
b) If at first you don't succeed, skydiving definitley isn't for you.
c) When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.
d) If I am nobody, and nobody is perfect, than I must be perfect.
e) Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall, and all the kingsĘ horses and all the kingsĘ men... ate scrambled eggs for 2 weeks.

this guy has been in the pub all day and is very very drunk so he staggers out of the pub to see a nun wearing her full habbit walking by
all of a sudden he hits her in the face with a right hook then starts to kick her while she lies on the floor
then he staggers off shouting "ha! not so tough now are you Batman!"

I probably won't ever have a capital pilot, and I probably won't get this because I know my luck could be this good :P but as far as isk goes.. hah. Try farming when your a full time college student ( criminal justice major ftw ) and work at fed ex as a package handler from 5 to midnight M-F with no climate control in the building. Not a bad job but man.. some days when 50 billion packages come down the chute.. hehe yeah. It's the friends you make while working there that are worth it, nothing worse than getting swamped and being by yourself for hours, but having a buddy come over and help you build walls makes it a lot easier. My other eve mail still stands, but I figured I'd give you some insight on other things.

I originally joined eve on my own accord as the game to help me transition from all other games.
To the extent it isnt a game anymore for me, I feel like im cursed, but not cursed enough to have
the structure of the game tke me over, my curse is that I give people benefit of the doubt and I lose
my own. In game and out, this is simply a medium, a phone you communicate with.
Dont forget the most important thing in life, is to live life itself,
it dosnt matter if its online or off as long as you have the gift to see, hear, eat, smell, feel, touch, love, care you're living the life mother nature intended to give you.
Dont give up on your friends and the people you love.

Yeah, I just started playing with my friends on here about two weeks ago, and a week later I joined this alliance. It's been really fun so far, a lot better than Warcraft. Especially since these new patches, it's SOOOO much better. My friends will never believe me if I got your character transfer

If it is someone who would truly get the joys of this character then do I have a story for you. I started this game out last year during my first year of college, a guy who lived on my floor was a carrier pilot in LV. I watched all the crazy **** he did, the fights against RedSwarm and the massive capital fleets. Since I saw that I have been working my way towards those things to try and experience the same things he did. Saddly he has since dropped out and I don't have the time to work as hard any more (Crazy hardcore college [MSOE look it up]) so this would definetly be a dream come true. I just didn't want to win off a sob story thats why I wrote the poem.
Anyways congrats to whoever gets it. May he serve them well.

As far as MMORPG experinces. Ultima online 9 Year ,WOW for a month(wasnt worth the time to play any more than that IMO),Dark Age Of Camelot 1 year, City of heros/villans, Vanguard saga of Heros (gets my vote for best MMORPG EVER)

Well to be honest I dont have nothing to offer with a little exception: my wishes.
If you give me your character its my wish to keep alive what you made. In this universe only a few give something for free, you can count them with the fingers of a single hand and thats why i will use your character to help to those who need help, and to fight to those who ganks everyone that appears in his overview. These are my whises i dont have much more to offer except this.

Hi Iceforce,
I read your post in Alliance mail and thought what an oppertunity it would be to adopt your charcter. As you may know, many smaller corps in SMASH have been told to come up with some rather huge jumps in Corporation needs to support SMASH. At this point no one in our corp is able to front the ISK to buy a capital ship....and I'm pretty sure no one possess the skills to pilot one.....But it is not just the ship.
But to begin from the srart. Sometime back I started playing Counter Strike Source on the Old Bastards Clan Servers "OBC" I meet some really cool people (Desperatehousewife and Super Soldier) and they invited me to start playing EVE again. So I started all over playing EVE again after letting go three great charaters of my own well over a year and a half ago. So starting off from new again, which was quite a shock...But the guys in OBP Old Bastards Pub really helped me out. I meet alot of great people in the corp from all over the world. We have ratted, mined, and ganged up to kill off the enemies of SMASH togather. Even though my guy is a NOOB everyone has been patient to help him out and explain how things have changed in EVE since I left long ago.
But a few days ago the order came down from Peoke that we needed to move into other SMASH corps (for what reasons I do not know or understand) thus desolving OBP. It seems everyone is moving on to other Corps and some are talking about leaving this side of space all togather. I hate to see this group of great players and people go away.
So, I would ask for you to consider me when you decided to pass on this character not only can it keep our guys and girls togather, but add to the firepower of OBP but help us move towards the lofty goals set by Poeke.
I promise when it comes to move on from Eve I will pass "IceForce" on just like you have here. So he will live on and not die in some database. Thanks for checking this out..VonPunisher.

played starwars galaxies got a lvl80 jedi maxed then came new game enhancements and gave jedi as a starting proffesion.

This one is a nice character huh? I was browsing to buy a Game code and saw this topic, first I thought this was an auction starting with 1 isk. The skillsets are mostly look like mine z33ro character :-) I'm not good at poems and literature, nevertheless I'd like to have this character, so I'll then have 2 of the Gallentian, making them brothers ^__^ About me I'm a vietnamese guy (rare event right? but yes there are like 20 Vnmese in this game nowadays, I'm so happy! ^___^ ) I've been playing this game since the end of 2003, beginning of the 2004, when there was the real Curse Alliance, G Alliance, The 5ive, Stain, Xetics and so on, I had a nicely character "Tirith" and had to sold it to one of my friend because I needed money, too bad I was then unemployed and the g/f - u kno :-( I decided to play eve again since 2005 and still do it now, enjoynin' the game as it is. I'm taking EVE as a game, something you can relax, not too serious as many of people here do, so I never smack, trollin forums and go into conflicts. I started to play this game since the Apocalipse BS fitting was mainly in shield tanking, old in-game interface, the lag then was Ok to play, when megacyte cost 40k per unit and people mined it a lot in hidden belts, making real good in-game cash, I still remember the macro stuff and so on.
I think the honesty is the best policy, both in real life and in game, and I can promise you I'll play this character properly, the first thing I will do is to finish the advanced learnings to lvl 4, the Energy system Op to lvl 5, some navigation and then Gunnery, I can see some crappy skills that not needed yet, I can see you trained everythin u could in this poor character :-) Me myself hate mining, hauling and all the boring things, I like fireworks, so I think I will use this character to pvp too, my computer can load 2 chars, I think 2 thanatoses look a way better than 2 Iterons or Roaqls ^__^
Next thing I promise you not to re-sell it, yes you can call this a free gift for any lucky guy, and you never sure if the guy re-sells it for isk or not, so this you get my word, of a vietnamese guy :-)
To finish my letter, I'd advice you not to delete this character if even no one wins it, just give it to one of you friend or sell it and give in-game cash to some new players that need it as charity (sometimes I use my alt that I keep my isk in to join the newb channel and give people like 5 million isks for their first frigs and learning skills :-)) wish you all the best with your future, with the way you chose, looks like you're old enough so this game got bored for you. I'm 21 years old and I think I will stuck in this game for a while more. If I dont get this character then all the good wishes to whoever wins it, and please take the very best care of it. Ok, I'm pressing the Post button now, sorry for my english if its not good or correct somewhere and all the mistakes I made when write this letter.

hey hi iceforce
what can i say. a friend of mine introduced me to eve about a year and a half ago. i'm still playing because i do love the game, even though i often get annoyed when i get podded for my own stupidity. slatternia is my first toon, in my first online game and i am still loyal to her. i will admit i didn't do such a great job of setting her up but she is, after all, my first eve creation. loyalty is a virtue that is always well tested. if you honor me by transfering your character to me it would most definately increase my playing enjoyment tremendously but slatternia will be my number one, always. i know i will eventually get to drive a carrier and wouldn't mind doing it sooner than later so i am posting this reply.

Despite many perils endured in outer space
there are some who fight these perils and some who will let these perils consume them.
Within Eve the power of the player versus player is paramount to some people's fun.
Whereas there are some who prefer the less destructive but also fun side of industry.
Therefore to whom this may concern, Eve is a game of many perils and many wins but overall it must be fun.

I saw your message in Alliance mail so I thought I'd come drop a few lines why I would like to take over your character.
1. I am alliance...
2. I started playing the game 2 or more months ago and love to play eve. My character sadly is a big carebear. Though I love providing service to my alliance mates in the way of free minerals and greatly reduced prices on market items (I haul in T2 items for fleet fighters and price them BELOW all other prices on the K25/BWF/TDE markets), I would like to provide a more support in the way of PVP. I'm dieing to get out there in something bigger than a frigate!
3. I haven't bothered to look at all the skills and assets you are offering with your character but it doesn't matter to me as long as your character can get out and fight with something BS or bigger I will equip him and get out there and fight the fight against our alliance enemies. Maybe make a few stops to kill the *****es that have killed my carebear :)
4. I will be my priority to continue your characters training to be the most lethal killer possible.
5. With a pvp character at my disposal I can continue my carebear on the path to more carebear stuff!

Have you tried Lord of the Rings Online? Great graphics. Worth a trial. I won't say it's great cause I like to let other people form their own opinions.
Get a motorcyle! I love mine! 1750 miles in just over a month since I bought it! If you're tall 6'+ I would suggest the motorcycle I bought, a 2008 Buell Ulysses. Http://www.buell.com (btw Buell is owned by Harley Davidson so no beat downs from Harley riders at bars) so far I've gotten it up to 118 miles/hour before I decided that I better just go to a race track for that kind of thing. Corners like a shuttle!
Good luck with choosing someone to transfer your toon to. If you need some 'assets' in WOW I have some toons/gold I don't play with anymore.

I decided to just tell the truth. I figure thats the easiest way for someone to judge worthiness of a thing.
I've played mpogs for a long time, cut my teeth on Ultima with some good friends and my little brother, and that's where a significant chunk of my gaming life was kept. We played for years and as anyone can tell you, the longer you play, the more things your game style encompasses. My friends and I built up rather a well respected guild, and had generally one of the more enjoyable times ive ever spent with friends, at least out of real life. We did a fair bit of everything, alliance related pvp, crafting, and some good old fashioned RP hehe.
Some friends rolled on to Asherons and other games, but Star Wars Galaxies loomed on the horizon, and we all prepared to start up and start strong. 3 months before Galaxies debuted, my little brother died when a semi lost control and hit him on the way home. I won't get into what that did to me in depth, I'm sure people's imagination is suitable to the task, but when Galaxies started, we dedicated the corp to him, and did everything we could, to make Ian Industries a name known throughout the entire server. I'm obviously biased, but I'd say we did a fairly good job, and we had managed to keep virtually all of our RL friends togethor thru a game switch, while I and we all felt my brothers loss and noticed his absence, we kept his memory alive well and honored it in a way that all of us could help with, and it opened the path for me to make a closer relationship with his twin brother, whom I had never been as close to, when he started playing with us in the guild named as my brothers memorial.
Then Sony destroyed the game.... and we lost our memorial. People scattered to the winds, some came here to Eve, some quit for awhile, and I decided to focus on getting things on track. Years later now, I have finished my degree, have a decent job, and on a spontaneous decision, started playing Eve again with the 2 friends who came here after Star Wars. I immediately fell in love with the game, and after some talking with others, we managed to get all of our friends back in the game. We've got some grandiose plans, including in the seriously long term, placing an outpost named in my brothers memory in a defendable point. I think we can do this with the RL friends that have come back to us, and some of their friends. We've just been working in our respective alliances and corps to this effect, working towards the day when we can set up our own group again.... we are setting up a good infrastructure, when we play togethor we always play 100% shared, but we cant seem to keep the ISK flowing in more than the need, we're always buying things for invention or other aspects of the game that we're putting infrastructure in. Now that we're about ready to make an attempt to make the Ian Industries alliance, I find that we need a capital pilot, both for carrier jumping and for defense of the system... and I have been looking for one, but despairing of the costs.
Its a critical component of my dream,,, regardless of whether or not I could win this contest, I will continue with the dream, I made a promise to keep the memorial going, and Sony took that away from me, so I plan on rebuilding it here, but this would mark off one important checkmark, and especially one that I can't solve no matter how hard I work. I can't MAKE skillpoints accumulate faster than they do, so it's a fixed amount of time before I can get the needed carrier/dread capability.
I'm lucky enough to be playing with my little brother and my friends again, and I think this could possibly be one of the best chances I have to help solidify our possibility to properly honor Ian. I didn't post this to intend to tug on people's heart strings, it's just the simple truth, and I thought that would be best if I was going to ask for something this important. Thank you for reading.

The sounds of missles colliding with the shields were comming quicker now and the impact was taking its toll. The pilot knew he wasn't going to last much longer and eyed the auto-eject button on his Raven...but no. If this was truly happening he was going to go down with his ship.
The warning lights began to flash and the lighting dimmed. Sparks began to shower down all around him and he knew that this was the end. Suddenly...silence. Everything moved in slow motion for a split second and the only thing that ran through his mind was that there was so much left unfinished. So many battles yet to fight. What a sad, sad thought. Then with a thunderous boom the ship exploded into a thousand pieces, piercing the blackness of space with a shower of brilliant colors.
*2 weeks later*
Everything felt so cold. Wait...cold? Suddenly a thousand senses rushed back to the pilot with a violent surge that sent aches and pains running through his body. Slowly he opened his eyes. A brilliant white light blurred his vision and for a moment he wished he was back in that vast emptiness that had seemed so eternal.
"Ah...you're awake." The voice echoed in his ears for a moment. Who was talking to him? Wasn't he dead?
"I wasn't sure you would ever wake up. Corporal, go tell the doctor that the experiment was a sucess."
"Yes sir," the second voice, that of a woman, came from across the room and the pilot heard the faint sound of footsteps leaving the room.
A moment later another set of footsteps could be heard, but these were louder and with much more haste. Then came a sharp pinch at the pilots forearm, and he could feel a needle being inserted into him. With a surge of adrenaline that was obviously from some sort of booster drug made the pilot sit upright in one suprisingly fast movement.
"Ah much better. Can you hear me soldier? Do you know what your name is? What is the date? Do you remember anything about what happened to you?" The man who was obviously a doctor or scientist of some sort began spitting questions at the pilot so quickly he almost wasn't able to make out what was being said.
"Uh, not really. I remember an explosion, and now...I'm here," replied the pilot.
"Oh well, thats of no concern. You are awake and are responding much better than I could ever have dreamed," the doctor said with an obvious sense of satisfaction.
"Uh, where am I...and what the hell is goin on?" asked the pilot.
"Don't worry soldier I will fill you in, but in the meantime I just want you to get some rest. You'll need it."
*1 month later*
Over time the pilot thought that his memories would return. That one day he would wake up and be able to remember his family, his home, his friends...but nothing. Nothing of his former life could be recalled even vaguely...except for that of the explosion and the thundering boom that echoed in his dreams.
But that life was over. It didn't matter if he could recall it. That part of him was dead, and the only thing that mattered now was his new life. The life that the "doctor" had given him.
Over the course of a month the doctor told the pilot of the debris his search party had found on one of the outlying asteroid belts near their research station. How they had found a lone survivor, floating in an escape pod on the brink of death.
They had brough him to their station. His bloodied body too damaged by the cold of space to be healed. So in a desperate act to save the pilot they tried an experiment, one that had never been done before. They had taken his brain and transplanted it into the body of one of their military officers who had been in a coma for over 12 months. The experiment...a sucess. He had survived, and in this new body codenamed "Iceforce" he had been given a second chance.
Boarding his Thanatos he now leaves the station to make a new life, wherever that may take him...

I have failed too many times with alcohol and women, by giving me your character you are saying that alcohol and women are the next thing. after eve other mmos are a waste of your time. I am not going to try and impress you with any jokes, or my farming abilities. I just want to have some fun with Eve, and for you to have fun in life.

If you give me your character its my wish to keep alive what you made. In this universe only a few give something for free, you can count them with the fingers of a single hand and thats why i will use your character to help to those who need help, and to fight to those who ganks everyone that appears in his overview. But heres the real "*****" our Ceo's have been working hard at forming this Corp and to see it just go away is a really bad deal for them and us. Adding a powerful charater and a much need ship to the Corp may be a great start to turning things around. I have not spoke with out Ceo's much as of late but I do not think they are all too happy seeing OBP desolve.
If all else fails and the Corp is lost I promise to keep IceForce in SMASH and help in future confilcts. If things do not work out in SMASH I will move IceForce to Greener fields of glory far away for all that is SMASH and Roadkill.
In closing, when it comes for me to move on from Eve, I will pass "IceForce" on just like you have here. So he will live on, and not die in some database.

You fail. Everything he is doing is in accordance to the rules. People are not paying out of game items for the character people are "competing" for the chance to pay 1 isk for the character and in an unrelated act that 1 isk will be given to someone else. If he is posting in other threads thats one thing not related to here, take it up with the mods. You can take your trolling elsewhere.

Well, the previous years of my life make for a very sad but true story, so I'll give it a shot. At age 17 I married my high school girlfriend, expect us to live happily ever after, all the is supposed to happen, (like you here in stories). Well, after 3 years of marriage and plenty of fighting and bickering we decided to get a divorce, we just weren't happy with each other any more. After we got divorced I fell into a deep deppresion relying and alchohol as my best buddy, it wasn't till a year later that I met a guy, who became my best friend, who could pull me out of my downfall. After, 3 or so months I came back out of my shell and began meeting more people and dating around. Shortly after my best friend, decided to serve for his county and join the army; and sure enough I went along with him, a year later, training done, we were shiped out to iraq, less then 3 months there, me and my friend were in a hum-v with each other when a road car bomb blew less 5 feet from our vehicle, 1 died, the other 3 of us were all severly wounded. Once we were all healed up we returned home, me with both legs amputated, and my mate with his right leg amputated. After back home, we picked up the hobby of playing eve, which became very addicting, and we still play it right next to each other on a daily basis. Although are chars. arnt well developed, we try to make our isk to do what we can to pvp. Both of us run our own little one man corp, and do what we can to put kills on a our private killboard. I think your char. could help me grow to love even more, and get more addicting then I really need to. Eve has giving me something more to look for in life, I wait day by day as skills train as one of the few things that I do have to look forward to. Enough with my whine, gl with your life after eve, hopefully you go on to be a very successful person with many life goals, that you may one day achieve.

Leaving eve? While I understand the reasons behind it, for I have done it myself for a few months, I do believe you are making a mistake.
Eve really does get boring at times, but good friends, new hobbies and plenty of action are sure to keep you occupied. Granted there are a lot of other MMORPGs out there that can give you similar fun, but none are as deep and complex as this game. There is always something new to do in eve, places where you have never been, people you have not talked with.
With so many choices, you can always vary your gaming experience; start up a new character, train up new skills. Blow up some random hauler, sit in a barge drinking beer. Plan out a fleet engagement, put your own POS in empire. The possibilities are near limitless.
I am just a fellow capsuleer hoping you will change your mind, and continue to play Eve-Online, and keep your character.

Why should you give it too me? Well really I dont know. can give you the same reasons everyone else has, make some cool one liners, maybe even an awsome poem, but instead ill tell you the truth.
About 4 months agao I left EvE - not becouse of ANYTHING to do with the game, but becouse of real life issues. My Wife left me. Havnt heard from her since. Hopefully one day soon she will talk to me again and we can get back together (no, I did not ever hit her or abuse her, she just wasnt "happy") but really thats neither here nor there.
I left EvE becouse of this, however I continued to pay for the game without realising. About a fortnight ago I noticed my bank acount had some wierd "EvE" purchases on it, thinking that I had canceled my acount and that maybe someone was stealing I contacted the good people here at EvE and explained I had not been playing for a few months and didnt realise my acount was still being billed.
Well the nice guys here gave me back a few months of money (Very thankful for that) and I decided, well, I do miss the game, ill start playing again.
Sadly becouse of the lapse in time im months behind where I otherwise would have been in skills (if id realised I was still paying I would have keept training and be in a command ship by now). So no real big deal, but a few months away before I can get a nice Nighthawk.
Iv decided to keep on playing, im back with my good old corp mates SCI and although iv lost a lot in the game due to station ping-pong and diplomatic mumbo-jumbo stopping me from getting most of my gear back from stations it was in, at least I have once again got a nice ratting ship and my corp mates have given me a good olf Ferox and Caracal to fight in (shows you how bloody damn good a corp is when they help you out like that after beeing away for so many months).
Do I "deserve" this cap pilot? i dont know - only you can decide that. Im not even going to ask for it.
So why am i making this post? Well really its becouse I wanted people too know how damn good my corp has been for me. Iv been going through a rough patch thanks to my wife leaving me, and the corp understands, they helped me out, and even when I didnt talk too them for a few months they took me back in without any hesitation.
Thats what real friends are. And iv been after the opurtunity to say that.
My life might be a bit ****** over right now. My wife of 3 years left me. Im now back too living with my folks as I could not afford to pay off my house by myself (instead im renting it out, gonna keep that bad boy though!!) The only person iv ever loved and felt loved by has left me (We where together for abot 7 years all up) but through it all iv had friends beside me, willing to help out and offer support.
Thankyou to all the guys in SCI for being there.
And thankyou to CCP for reimbursing me those few months even though legally you didnt have to - just goes to show how nice these guys that everyone *****es about really are.
I wish you well IceForce in your future endevours and hope that any other game you play will have the same friendships in it that this game can make.
Good luck for the future, and I hope you find the right person to take over your pilot.

Whoever you give it too make sure that you pick someone who isn't going to just quit the game and make your char forever inactive. I sold my main character and funny thing is that I still keep on checking on what she's up to, how her new owner is managing her, and I'll be sad if she'll just be gathering dust instead of bubbling the 0.0 gates and omgwtfbbqing her enemies in her glorious Gallente ships. It was a silly decision to sell her in the first place. I had to take a few months break from EVE, then came back and started another char in her place but it is not even done with learning yet.
I am looking for another Gallente char to use as my main. I would love to have IceForce and all I can say is that I'll try to make sure he plays to the end of EVE, if it ever comes to that. EVE is one and only mmorpg I have played or will ever play in the coming years (no time for other ones and this one keeps changing enough for me to not get bored). And being main-less both sucks and blows at the same time. I can't sell time codes to get the ISK as I'm a student and can barely make ends meet now and for the next few years until I get my degree done. EVE has become my addiction and a way to unwind from the stress of college, financial worries, and deciding what to do with my future. I'm just interested in having a character to play EVE again. I've always prided myself for being able to make my own money for pvp, so whatever his assets are will go to charitable causes in IceForce's name :) - random newbies asking for help or ganked by this char, eve university to help them buy ships for new players, and some of the great players in game with whom i've flown and who have been in a rut lately (anyone asking themselves "orly?" my reply is "ya rly"). Before I took a break I was a part of a pirate corp that got started last year. None of the people in it I knew in real life, but most of us played together since newb days and gotten to be great friends, shared info, lend each other isk, eventually started pvping together, and even went through a few corps together, so i'll be rejoining them with whatever new main i can get. This means I will continue IceForce's legacy of -10 blinking griefer pirate :D Whatever your choice will be just don't delete him, please, or I'll come to this thread and cry :P

Not so long ago, this person became a POD pilot.
Few hours after breathing station air, Navitas was bought and fitted for destruction - of rocks !
It was at that time that I searched through forums and gazed at what other players are like. Much to my shock - others fly behemots, monsters of EVE. They call them selfs - capital pilots. Like decendants of ancient Gods, they looked down on pilots like me. Not even giving me a second looked after bumping into eachother in stations. Like when you step into something nasty, but dont realy want to look what it was - because look might disquist you.
It was at that time that I made a pledge to myself - I SHALL BE CAP PILOT !
With what ISK I could muster a puchase was made - I shall be nOOb no longer, for now I have a mighty 5 mil SP character that was bought ! Sadly Im no closer to being a cap pilots then I was before. Because new pilot is mining more then he is killing. Cap pilots still give him that look of - out of my way lower being.
But today, my eyes have gazed at you - IceForce.
Gift from decendet of Gods himself. Capital pilot willingly giving himself to be used by another. What glorius day this is indeed. Is it possible to vield such power under my fingers. Can this mere mortal be given gift of immense power from IceForce ? Is it true that no one shall look at me as mere insect, but as a pilot to be reckoned with ?!? All of this because of IceForce the life giver.

Well, my reasons for wanting the character are a little different from what most people are doing, so it's either going to crash or be unique.
To put it bluntly- I want your carrier so that I can throw it away.
When I first started playing eve, the thing that struck me was the events, the backstory that tied into the game. Stories about abandoned space stations just waiting to be found, hidden treasures just floating out there in space where some brave soul could one day find a blip on his scanner and uncover something from history. I quickly learned that it didn't quite work that way in eve, and systems were basically nameless, faceless and soulless. I want to change that.
My plan is to use your character to take the Thanatos to a random system in low sec space, far enough out that it can't be stumbled upon or picked up by a ship scanner, but close enough to be found by probes. I want to leave the ship there, and hopefully begin an event that will last for years- a lost treasure to be found by some lucky pilot, hopefully a fresh player who can still appreciate the Thanatos as an incredible ship. I want to watch for months if not years until one day, I see a post on the general forums about how someone has discovered it, still with its fittings intact, just laying there. Hopefully, when that happens, someone will remember a story from ages ago how some stupid noob threw out said ship for anyone to find. Call me an idiot who wants to throw away good money, but I want to, at least in some small way, add something to the mythos of eve.
As to why I want your character. In all honesty it's a means to an end. After I abandon the ship, I will have no more use for your character than any other person in the thread. I will use it to make isk, help my corp, my alliance and my friends. If I could think of a good reason for me to have the character, rather than the ship, the best I can come up with is that it will ensure I still manage to play the game. Due to real life, I can only play the game using gtc's. As a newer player, it's difficult to make enough isk to pay the bills, so to speak, and your character will simply ensure that someone who really loves the game is able to continue to play

Hey,
CEO of a quite new corp called BSOD, we are in the alliance HUZZAH Federation and i have been playing good old eve for 2 years now.
My corp lacks in one thing and thats capital ships we have a nice player base and the rest of HUZZAH all roam in capitals...
It would be nice to have a capital char of my own to be able to be on par with the others in HUZZAH.
My history is in TSDS (The Sudden Death Squad), my first corp Hitchhikers corp (that i ran) in the TSDS alliance was quite fun and what made me train my t2 sniper skills up. Shortly later i joined up with the main corp in TSDS alliance TSBS (The Short Bus Squad). That was quite possibly the high point in my "eve life", but all was lost when our alliance leader and mate of mine left to play LOTRO (Lord of The Rings Online) i later decided to join him on LOTRO and am now classed as a noob on LOTRO with him :)
Please grab me in game we need a mate and if you decide to stay you can have a home in my corp Black Screen of Death.
Other games i play include Counter Strike: Source, ET (FPS Game) and some others.

I also need to have enought money for the monthly GTC, since I can't buy them with real money (no stores with them in here)...with sometimes becomes boring cos I have to play alot of hours to get enough money for it.

I was ratting in YVBE back in my Xelas days with Proxay in a standard rat fitted megathron.
I was busy typing something out, and failed to notice a new hostile in local, until he was on scan. Thinking quickly, and realizing he was in a hurricane, i decided, I may have a good chance to beat him. I kill the last battleship rat quickly, leave antimatter ammo loaded and prepare to engage.
Sure as anything, he arrives in my belt, 22km off me, he quickly burns toward me, as i do the same. As he throws a point on me, a second hostile enters local. We're both committed to the fight now, there's no turning back. I light up 3 heavy dim nos, 5 neutrons and send my drones onto the hurricane, his shields drop quickly, but i am already in armor due to rats, but his dps is negligible against my single t2 LAR for some reason. A harbinger drops onto grid 13km off me just as the hurricane hits around 25% armor.
I quickly lock the harbinger and take my nos off the hurricane, and throw the nos onto the harbinger, knowing that amarr ships eat cap quickly. The hurricane goes down as I hit 25% armor.

I light up the harbinger with everything at my disposal and sit myself in as close as i can, this is getting tight....I'm dropping fast, he's hitting very hard, down into structure, no damage control, he's in 1/4 armor. Keep going rep, just a little bit longer, he's in structure, i'm burning my way down to 1/2 structure, but he has stopped repping....
dps is hitting him hard now, structure dropping quickly....damn i'm down to 15% structure....this is gonna be close....

I survived on 5% structure.
The hurricane was t1 fit, the harbinger had t2 guns, but a mostly t1 fit tank. Neither of them spoke in local, they went back to empire silently.

hey iceforce not much at writing poetry but i would be lucky to get this char as i am a smash member and allways go out roaming and on ops with the allience and i could assure you this char would get put to good use i play eve most of the time i have played other mmo's and none have been as good as eve in my oppinion.

Why? Why not.
I'm in alliance that wants to kill you so it would be totally win-win situation. Naturally I'm a greed person and whenever some person who wants to quit game and give away his stuff, I'm always there beggin' for scraps.
I did this kind of stuff when I played Neocron. On the third time quitting that game, I realised that giving away my stuff is bad. I want you to feel same frustration what I felt back then by giving away your stuff in hope to cure your addiction.
I *WANT* to have more characters and more stuff in EVE! I deserve nothing yet your going to give that character to me simply because I demand. You cannot resist me *does jedi hand trick*.

Not too sure exactly what your after but heres my story, got into the game about 2 months ago, did my first character buy about 2 weeks ago, the char I recieved was still under his old corp (24 hours) I spent about 5 hours running all over eve collecting up his assets. Was n-route to Bhizheba a 1.0 system and thought I had made it safely as I had no more low secs to travel through, I was desroyed by a guy who was at war the the previous char owners corp, so I lost all I had collected up, also been nailed when I was in a belt mining, left to get hauler returned and took what I thought was my ore, apparently someone had moved my ore into their container, second I took what I thought was mine a ship decloaked and rocked me. These are mistakes that I have learned from, but it sure would be nice to have a char that would be capable of revenge on these players that pick on the nooblars. As stated I am not experienced so I cannot gaurentee your ship would not be lost in the first tangle I got into, but I can promise that I would have fun losing it, (even if I did cry) Oh and yes I have 2 sisters and a mother I am willing to sell/trade for your char.

I dont buy ISK, I had time cards which I sold for ISK, and bad in whos eyes? There is no rule stating that this type of "fast tracking" is illegal or frowned upon. Jealousy gets you nowhere in life kid, get a job and maybe you'll have a couple extra bucks to invest in a game you enjoy too, instead of running around telling people it's bad.

sir, I didn't meant your methods are bad, everyone is free to produce ISK the way they please, but I've seen too many comedy fits on highly dangerous ships on our killboard ;) And FYI I have a job in real life and enough money to buy even the oldest character on this server should he become available for selling, instead I am far more pleased to grow my own character. For a six month char (my main) my fortune is in billions, and I'm not an industrialist, miner, mission runner, or GTC seller. So, I don't see why I should "invest some extra bucks" to enjoy eve more, beyond the monthly fee.

You should give it to me, because I am wheelchair-bound, have leprosy, and am a triple amputee ... i play with my one remaining appendage (my left leg). My dog got ran over last week, everywhere I walk (errr ... ride) it is raining, and my girlfriend dumped me a long time ago (for a guy that can hug her with actual arms and not nubs). My dad left the house when I was born and my mom is addicted to several drugs. My grandfather was the only one who ever believed in me ... we used to play football and baseball together in the front yard during the fall. But he got lung cancer and 3 pain-racked years later he died when I was 12.
I play eve because it is a distraction, my sole glimmer of hope that everything someday will be all right in this dark, cold and cruel world. And for that reason giving me the character will make me really good at something for once, something I can be proud of and people will respect me for. I'll make a name for myself with the pilot and make my grandfather proud.

i want it cos ive had a **** life i had my $830 mountain bike stolen when i was 16 2 weeks later my $800 nitro remote control car was flogged by a guy on a bike my ps1 was stolen 2 years after that then my car amp couple of months later then 2 years ago my radar detector and my gps got nicked out of my car and finaly 4 months ago came back from holiday first day back at work get back to my car and my whole stereo is gone $2000 worth my back window is smashed and my key barrel is wrecked < got pics for that one (www.myspace.com/listermichael) im surprised i still have a computer to type this message btw all of this is tru if im lying ill shoot myself in the face with my own gun which hasnt been stolen yet either

Hmmm, some of these stories are entertaining, most are lies and people who are making their way through life with a big set of knee pads if you know what I mean. Here's my story, short to the point and most of all 100% true.

I am fairly new to the game, slightly year in at most. I have a main charter at 7mil sp and a few alts with the most at 3mil. I belong to a 0.0 corp which is great fun! I used to play wow before discovering eve and now I canĘt imagine how much fun I missed out on.
I donĘt know why I deserve this or how to impress you. But if you feel like giving a newbie to eve a shot at the big time, I am your man. I am honest, loyal and love playing eve. Getting this character would change how I play this game and give me a great leg up in a corp full of experinced players! Hope you pick me!

Ok i cant write poetry and I am pretty bad at doing most things but here is my attempt to win favor (if i am not too late!)
Eve is the first mmopg game i have ever played, its the second game I have ever played on the interweb. i started as a carebear and mined and mined and mined for little profit. eventaully I made a few friends and became director and defacto ceo of a corp - all by accident! well as time went by we drifted and i think i sort of made money enought to train a myriad of skills with no direction! probably what many players do!
Now the corp is dead all the people have left and I have managed to join a 0.0 alliance. As i write i am watching the fight in FAT-6P! I was wondering how I might get a character to join the fun and fly a carrier and so I surfed here and found this.... Fated or what?
So i have a character with 20 mill skill points in lots of different things and i am regretting not coming to 0.0 sooner and making an effort to train for a goal like a carrier or a dread. I have discovered i love to PVP and am enjoying flying dictor and interceptrs, when I am not doing this I rat or mine and dream of a shiny carrier. Make my day if you would :)
In return I can offer my advice about UT99 I was a server kicker/helper/moderator at a community named truff's since closed when we all went our separate ways but i have many friends playing all sorts of games and we still all get together - I would extend a hand of friendship to this group if you would like to join us....

I was scammed last week by Regina Rampart for 1.2b.
My own fault, I admit it. I trusted a person who seemed to be a good natured person, but considering it was my whole net worth I was using to buy timecards for my corp mates (Yes for them not for resale) I now am considering paying out of pocket for them so that my friends who can't afford to play can. This is not a made up story. I am asking that you find it in your heart to give me the carrier and I will transfer what ISK I do have left to any person of your choosing (3m ISK).
What I would use it for? Easy, find a nice area in 0.0 hidden away to rebuild my corp wallet so that I can continue to provide for those who are less fortunate but still love this game of ours and decide to call my corp home. If this reason is not worthy in your eye's I will understand and appreciate the fact that there is people like you, who will do for the good of eve rather then people like Regina who destroy the game experience for all those around them.
Either way godspeed and flysafe into the real world IceForce. Thanks for reading. (wrong character was on my mining alt I posted with not the one who got scammed. Heckubus was my main who is the director for my corp.)

Ok here it goes,
I am a fellow alliance m8 who has been through some very hard time ingame and out.
My first character was EternalDragon from 2003, he was greifed out of the game by a bunch of very nasty people, I cant say I didn't deserve some of it because I was a real scum bag back then.
I within the last 2 years did a complete 180. I started eve again 2 years ago after I had lost everything and slowly but surely made isk honestly by reselling ammo, then mods.
I then worked up to officer mods and t2 bpo's after a few months.
I then spent a lot of the hard earned isk on a decent SP char. I treated people with respect and how I wanted to be treated.
I no longer scammed, put anyone down or was nasty to anyone even when they were to me.
I completely turned myself around.
Half way through this I lost most of my isk by being suicide ganked in Jita and losing a t2 bpo worth about 2 billion isk.
It didn't stop me though. I even forgave the guy that did it and had a friendly chat with him.
No mater how many times I got knocked down I would get back up and keep going and take the high road this time.
I finally saved up over 9 Billion isk and got 2 chars for it, one pvper and 1 science skilled character.
My reputation later on caught me and even though I did nothing wrong this time, I was a good target for greifers. For the last few months I have had people harass me and try to blackmail me knowing who I was in the past.
Everything was going great until about 2 months ago when my account was hacked and my 24 mil SP alt was Not returned to me by ccp.
I still had my main with 34 mil SP but was left broke.
I made the hard decision of selling my main and buying a less SP char and having some ISK in my wallet.
Then I did something stupid, I gambled with the isk in eve poker and lost it all.
I have since then been getting back on my feet.
Not sure what else to say, its been a long and hard road for me, full of learning experiences, trials, a lot of errors, fun, torment, sadness, and happiness.
But no matter how its been, because of who I am today for it, and the good friends ive made, I wouldn't trade my experiences for anyone elses.

Just have to ask some questsions here. Have you accomplished all that you wanted to in the game? If so, Kudos, if not, then why not? What prevents you from trying to accomplish the goal?
What was the most fun moment you had with this particular toon? If given a choice between playing a tabletop game based upon Eve with your best friends in real, or playing Eve-Online, which would you do? Why?
After giving the character away, is there something that could be done to or with the character that would annoy you or make you regret giving it to the person? If so, what do you think it would be?
You are giving away this toon, and assets in a way that is different from the normal way people usually do so. Do you find you are always trying to do things differently? Do you try to find ways to make yourself stand apart from your peers? Is this something you planned to do, or just spur of the moment?
You seem to have focused on videos, you want videos, how much weight will you let that play in the selection process. Have you even considered or made your mind up about what will hold the most weight in your decisions to decrease the number of canidates in your mind?
Have you ever done something like this before? Have you ever considerd doing something similiar in real life with any assets or cash? Perhaps, you got the idea from something that was done by another group of people that used a similiar scenario.
At what point in Eve's timeline, (patches), did you have the most fun? How would your rate your Eve experience now compared to previous expansions in general? What was your favorite expansion?
What pod-pilot made the biggest impression upon you through out your Eve-Online time? What piece of advice would you offer to potentially long term players who have just joined the game in the last 3 to 6 months? What do you consider the most important aspect of Eve that has made it successful since its initial release? Do you believe that aspect is still a positive one for Eve now?
If you could change one thing about Eve, what would that be? If you were offered a job by CCP as a consultant would you take it? What type of obession are you interested in obtaining?
You have presented people with a chance to reveal something about themselves, even if we do not understand exactly what we see. What are you hoping to see? Do think people have lied or presented a story as the truth to get what you are offerring?
Have you asked yourself any of these questions before you decided to leave Eve? Do you think you might miss Eve once you are gone? How many friends have left the game, and how many of them came back?
As for telling you why I deserve the character....I do not, but then no one deserves to have this character but you. You are the one that worked on this character. A person only deserves to get what they have worked to get.
Why do I want this character, that would be to answer some of the questions that I have posed to you above, that could be applied to myself. I desire to play with a capital ship pilot, though I am working on dreads atm, I have every intention of piloting a carrier. Piloting a carrier is just one of the goals I have set for myself. Its a goal I will arrive at whether I receive this character or not, just for the sense of accomplishment.
Interested to see if you answer the questions.

I won Eve Idol 3. I'm famous across the Eve Universe for my Eve Parodies! I write them, sing them, you laugh at them until your stomach hurts. Give a listen to "Eve Online is for BoB" and "ISK ISK Baby!"
I'm the Battleship Champion of Eve. I've never taken the time to get into capital ships; my skills are mostly in line with industrial/research/mining, but somehow, I keep smacking elite PvPers down!

After 8 years of military service in the british army and so much lost skill training i had no choice but to sell my main character and buy this guy. All i have wanted todo for some time is try and fly carriers and dreads but have had to wait while i train skills thats would help my corp mates. I want to gain a good looked after character so i can put away my pirating days as all i know is pvp and maybe look at other aspects of the game. Now that i final will not be getting sent away for months at a timeon operations around the world i look forward to expanding my eve experiance with the help of good friends and corp mates. And look forward to meeting new players along the way. If you think your character would help me do this then i would be honored to carry on his training and use him to the best of his potential...

1)I think I should have it because I would use the character to kill innocent carebears and help with logistics runs for our alliance in 0.0.
2) I would stock it full of exotic dancers and crash and invite everyone for the best party ever!
3) you can have my sister, just might want to doublewrap 
4) I would do naughty unspeakable things in the thanatos that would even make MGRL feel dirty.
5) The character+carrier would help play a big role in the current war and would be very well taken care of.
I'll have to think of a good poem and post it later.

IceForce, you're going to have so much trouble picking the "deserving". The pages are just going to keep on growing and I doubt you're going to read into and remember everyone's responses. It's like college or grad school admission process. You ever been a member of an admitting committee? Thousands of applications - among these some people are going to just plainly lie, some people are going to stretch the truth and exaggerate, some people are not going to make the correct impression of who they really are. And the guys who are proposing you some sort of a deal, can make certain that they are going to deliver their end of the bargain?
I suggest you either
1) give it to someone you know and like in real life - make a b-day present for a friend or co-worker, give it to your cousin, uncle, etc. who knows may be at the point when we'll be all walking about stations and shooting each other from corners and sabotaging each other's docked ships you'd want to come back
2) pick a few answers you liked and make a lottery based on real life lottery like people run them in sell forum and let fate/chance pick the deserving among them
And to those of you saying he wants his butt licked - he just said that he wants to hear people express why they deserve a free gift. Whether or not you'd like to lick his butt in the process in entirely up to you

Ime totally a noob just started playing EVE to take a break from FFXI endgame raids. ime a part of a small corp that formed afer Hator's recuritment corp broke up after finding out that thats what it was. we are in need of funds and a ships that can be used to foster our growth as well as protect our ships in lowsec on mining runs. Hi Ice. I flew with you in Net7 (if you are the same player) if you are seriously considering leaving (which is really a shame) I wish you would consider me for the character transfer. Iceforce would have a great home.
If you are the same player, I remember you helping me out quite a bit, something I've always tried to do for other newbs. You loaned me a few giant secure containers down near 9uy that I still remember the passwords for.
With Iceforce - I'd do very great things. awesome things in fact. He's quality, and I know this. Also, you're currently in Knights of the Southern Cross, and I'm in Southern Cross Inc.... Cooincidence? I think not....

I would love to have this character because; he needs a nice home to got to, a good player to keep hes kills and skills going up, a dedicated player who wont leave him to one side and shows him a good time. I have the time to get this character to its full potential.Its not just me who will be happy to have him also my corp who will be pleased to have an experienced pilot. I promise u he wont go miss treated and left in a smelly station, he will be fighting on the battlefields of eve and he will be looked upon as a idol for younger pvpers.

Maybe its stupidity I write this, but since my own friends care little about how my day goes, this is as good a place to write it, maybe out of boredom, or maybe out of frustration of recent immature events in my life.
Just came back from college, I live in India and im doing a degree in multimedia and a 3 year course on visual communication. as far fetched as it may sound, I have to travel 4 hours a day to go and come back from college, there really is no alternative, besides I just have 5 months left.
I started playing eve in 2005 with a few friends, today I still have those friends I care deeply about but I dont think they or anyone else cares much about how hard life can become.
Though life is meant to be hard, even if ones body is degenerating over the years, I feel the burden of age on me. I seem to be ageing faster than my classmates and people older than me. I fear I may pass away at the age of 60 given how my race has shown weak genes for survival. Perhaps this is why I'm trying to cover as much ground as I can doing things which most people take casually.
I was contacted on eve many months ago by a gm, he said eve dosnt have any real subscribers from India, and he had to talk to me to find out if I was really from India, probably because its hard to pay for a luxury such as an mmo with indian income ratio. 15$ is around 500 rs. With 500 rs a family can have a months food. I've seen how hard it is for thousands on the streets here. I wonder how much of luck I have to be born in a country like india and have the better end of the deal. My family's not that well off, but we're managing. All famlies have their problems. I've got an overly ecsentric one but we're ok. I never ask anyone for anything, never really had any gifts from anyone from childhood. Small family, as ironic it may sound since indias over populated. we have our festivals like christmas, but.. heh I dont mind not getting gifts like others, getting playstations or gameboys, sunglasses or expensive computers. I'm happy, I just wish my body was a little more durable. Then again being delicate gives you the oppertunity to understand the problems one has to face and assess the best way to achieve natural success vs artificial success.
I have 1 friend I love dearly, not a relationship partner but I love him as just as much as I would if I were in a relationship with someone. Too bad he's still to young to understand half the things I implant in most of the things I say. I'm worried for him, worried for my family, they dont deserve to be sruggling in india so hard. If we were anywhere else we'd be very well off. Natural law probably needs us to balance the development factor here.
I made my 1st 100 mil in under 2 weeks running L1 missions and trading back in 2005. bought a raven and skipped l2 missions to go to l3 ones within a month of joining. Mr corp and friends said I was crazy, heh. But it was fun, something very few people can handle I guess. by the 3rd month I made enough money to buy a cnr and fit it with a gist, eventually faction fitted it by the 4th month. I'm very proud of what I had accomplished, but I was a fool back then, I took it to low sec and got ganked by my own ex corp mates.
Whats ironic is that the person who shot me down is one of my mentors on eve today. He showed me how to 0.0 rat and the ways to triple my earning, I've lost 3 fully faction fitted ships in pvp warfare since then, but its good fun.
1 hour to go till servers come up.

I've been 'playing' EVE for 9 months now. Most of those months do not count, because of the rather long break I took. But I found, that when I play EVE, I always play with my brother.
My family life hasn't been so great. My mother got pregnant with my brother when she was around 16 or so, and he's had to live with that his entire life. With his father living in California, and my mother not being dependable, it's been hard for him to even stay in school. When he was a child, my mother suddenly decided that she couldn't care for him, and he went to his father's apartment in California. At which, his father had a wife, June. June didn't like my brother much, he represented something she resented and that wasn't good, a previous relationship with another girl. After all this repressed anger couldn't be contained anymore, kind of like a whistling tea pot, she began beating my brother. And not just a few bruises or spanks, fractures on his skull, broken bones, etc. It's been hard for me to only live with my father and no support from my mother, but I couldn't imagine how hard it's been on him.
Skip ahead 8 years or so. I'm almost 17 and my brother is almost 22. We've been playing EVE together and we started a corp together. I don't get to see my brother much, he lives pretty far away(I have no license) and he works a lot, so playing EVE with him is pretty much my only interaction with him. We've started a corp together and have amassed some funds, but we lack the high skilled characters needed to attract medium skilled players. I ask you that you give me/us/him the character. I don't really know why my brother deserves it, but with all he's gone through, and how I always missed him, EVE is something we can always connect with, and no matter where he is, we can always play it with each other.

My eyes snapped open and the room slowly lit. I was lying in the same position as when I drifted off to sleep, although that had been only a couple of hours ago. Before that I had lain in bed for six hours. Trying to sleep.
Had I actually slept? I wasn't sure, but as I swung my legs out of the bed I felt more alert, more alive, more...sure than I ever had before. I was confident.
IceForce was retiring today. Everyone in the base, hell, probably the entire universe, had heard about it. Ice had made just one entry on a little-read noticeboard announcing his reitrement. This alone was strange enough. No grand proclamation on every billboard at every gate for Ice. But the single line at the bottom of his text had been enough to start fan an inferno of gossip that had burned its way around the whole of New Eden is just a few hours.
The legendary IceForce, commander of fleets, scourge of our enemies, decimator of petulant worlds; He was retiring. No doubt the ladies swooned and the weaker men too, hearing this news. Could it be true? Who would take over? When was the ceremony?
Only there would be no ceremony.
It is considered normal when an senior officer retires for him to name a successor to his position, and one or more inheritors of his fortune. Retirement for a capsuleer meant total loss; one was simply not permitted to retreat to a quiet world with all your billions of ISK and training intact. Apart from anything else, the knowledge in an experienced capsuleer's brain was worth a great deal to the wrong people. Knowledge of advanced equipment, tactics, manufacturing expertise.
No, when a capsuleer retires, he must give up all. Retirement is accompanied by a re-cloning. You are veritably born-again; you have most of your memories, but your skills and assets are stripped away.
A retired capsuleer is little more advanced than a newly-born one. This, of course, is what most retiring capsuleers wish for. The simple life. A head filled with nothing rather than everything.
But those eagerly-relinquished skills and assets are not discarded, they are immensely valuable and must not be lost. Therefore, it is traditional for a retiring capsuleer to name both an inheritor of his clone, and a recipient for his enormous wealth. It is somewhat bad form to give both skills and assets to a single person, but it was not unheard of.
But Ice had always been different. Not even different, really, just a thinker. The academy didn't place much of a priority on thinking for oneself; once your skills are implanted, you should be able to react much quicker on instinct alone. But Ice had always trod a different path and his constant questions and evaluations of everything he had learned had given him a reputation. He was both a commander of unparalleled wisdom, and a collossal pain in the ass.
And so it was with his retirement. Not for Ice, the formal announcements of inheritance. He had included a single paragraph as a postfix to his retirement message:
"Though it may be looked upon as foolishness, I choose to bequeath both my assets and my skills to a single individual. I will choose this person from among those assembled at the foot of the Academy steps, at 6:00am on my last day in office. I will not choose at random, but the winner will be an individual I do not currently know."
Nobody was entirely sure what he meant. Was he just going to point a finger into the crowd? Or had he already organised a specific person to be there? If not a random choice, what attributes among those who were present would he seize upon as the reason for his choice?

Everyone in the Academy, the station, and all of New Eden spent the following weeks and months trying to determine if they had some chance. The Academy arranged for the gates into the system to be locked down for a week prior to 'the choosing'. Nobody was allowed in without specific reasons. Even so, it was expected that many thousands of hopeful capsuleers would find a way to be on those steps at that date.
What a prize it would be. The scope of his training, and the sheer monumental weight of his wealth were marks than even the most arrogant capsuleer would not aspire to. And to be given it all. Even the notorious B.I.G. Lottery, with odds approaching billions to one, could not offer those kind of riches. He would have assets spanning the universe, and ships we had only heard of and the skills to fly them, not just well, but superlatively.
There were many rumours regarding the nature of the person who might win, but I did not have enough contacts or experience to sweep away the falsehoods and zero in on the truth. I had long ago decided to ignore anything that hadn't come directly from the mouth of IceForce himself.
I was one of the fortunate ones who lived in the Academy. I was able to be there, and organise myself well ahead of time. The announcement would be on the academy steps. The steps led into the the main Academy building but there were dozens of smaller buildings scattered around the grounds. Of course, they were smaller than the main building but still enormous. How could I get his attention? What was he looking for?
A clue came one afternoon as I was listening to some newscasts coming from the NeoCom in my Manticore. Ice had agreed to an interview, which was again most unusual for someone of such high rank, and during this he had let slip a single shard of information. He said:
"I will select, from those present on the day, the individual who I find the most impressive."
That's it. I played that clip a million times trying to extract some nuance from it. There was little doubt that he had been smiling coyly as he said it. He knew we were all listening. What does 'impressive' mean? How is that quantifiable? What qualities must a person possess in order to appear 'impressive' to a man of such experience and reknown?
I realised that there will little point in trying to be a detective. One thing was clear, I would have to do something utterly original, something so unexpected that I would be impossible to ignore.
So my plan was hatched, and today it was going to pay off. I had gradually committed myself to this course of action. I soon realised that if my plan did not work, I would almost certainly be executed. But the train was running downhill by now, even if there were brakes it's unlikely they could have stopped it. I was convinced my performance on that day would earn me the greatest reward ever received by a capsuleer, and if failure meant death, then I would be in the history books regardless.
So, as I swung my legs out of bed and let my heavy alloy boots hit the ground with a clank, today was the day.
Today.
Daytime was just a human contrivance here; with up to four suns in the sky at once and dozens of moons, the level of light varied only from blinding to fatal.
And so it was dawn light that I woke up to, but here that meant two suns in the sky and an outside temperature of forty-two degrees. I looked out of my tiny polarising window, expecting to think what I usually do in the morning: Nice day. But today my thoughts were anything but 'usual'. I watched for half an hour, trying to read something into the mundane wanderings of the tiny people-specks seven hundred metres below. They were always there but today I imagined they were up to all sorts of mischief. So I watched closely. Nothing. After half-an-hour of watching people doing what they always do, I left my quarters.

I tried to look bored as my thumb tapped out some codes on the Mini.
I waited. It wouldn't take long...

Ok I would like to pull myself out of the list, I honestly don't feel I deserve a good character with the way I manage to screw things up left and right.
I would also if possible like to nominate my friend for the character.
He is a fellow alliance m8 and in my corp.
I have known him for a while now and he is a good person, who is also very generous and smart. he has helped me get back on my feet a few times when I screwed up in the past.
I think that he would be happy with the character and the carrier would be a good asset to our alliance when it came to defending space.

I'm a poor Belgian Player, I'm very old (tomorrow I will be 36 old) and have a lot of buttons on my skin which are probably cancers (sorry for those who really have one). I have been in a french-speaking corporation which have lost all its assets in the kill of its unique freighter.
Now, I'm in an alliance ruled by a famous Romanian, and I can't understand a single word of Romanian. I just understand that he's shouting at me everyday because I can't catch the covert-ops with my crow.
I hope that if I can grant me your character I will have more success in catching the covert-ops.

Your idea and generosity to the corps you left behind, and to whome you may leave your last character is pretty bad ass.
Given those whom dream of flying a carrier into a battle alongside their alliance leaders is truely inspiring. Espcically true for someone who knows the game fairly well, and loves it, but perfers 1 PVP character, gnereating enough isk to PVP without reservation.
I would likely give the carrier to an alliance leader in my history, he's always there for the family, and during a passing of gang boss under my FC , his carrier was warped to a hostile gate while AFK. I'd then work up the isk to purchase my own pride and joy, while skilling up some more capital support skills for carrier groups.

Hello, First off I'd like say your amazing to do something like this. So I Suppose I should give you my story.
I love Eve I've been playing a little over a month and I'm hooked. It is the game I've always been looking for! I've played a few MMOs in my day but nothing does it for me like EVE. Sadly though I don't get to play nearly as often as I'd like too so its been hard to generate money when I can only run 1-5 missions a day. Thus why I put myself into the mix of so many others who have posted here.
I'm 19 years old and a college student. My family does alright but we don't have money to play with which is why I'm putting myself through College. I'm a chemical engineering major which is amazing that I'm even at this point in my life when I think of how hard it was to get here. I have multiple learning disabilities and ADD which if anyone out there knows.. is a challenge. With it being so draining to force myself to focus on my responsibilities before my gaming I use the great pleasure of EVE as a 'Treat' for myself when I have an hour or so a night to play during the week and a few more during the weekends.
From the night I started reading about EVE from a yahoo search over a month ago and downloaded a 0.0 fleet battle video with a carrier, its been my dream to fly one. Though with my limited play time I fear It would be an incredibly long time before I can train it much less be able to buy one.
So, If you make my dream come true with such a wondrous gift I promise to you and to all EVE players that when It comes time for me to retire I'll do the very same thing as you are doing now. I will give what was given unto me to a other fortunate someone.

I dont "NEED" it, but you want me to have it, not only is this not the first time ive taken over a char in an mmo... but in most occurances the owner comes back and wants to play again... when that happens, most of the ppl you may give the cha to would laugh and say "too bad for you" but I, as many times before would help you out... with an alt or some iskies.... or the char back if i was ub3r generous at the time...
dont judge by who wants/needs it... but by who you need to have it...

Man has it been fun reading this. I am mining at the time. Must have messed up my lasers 20 or more times.
This is an awesome way to leave the game. To bad you are going. You seem to be a pretty decent person. We need as many of those as we can get in Eve.
I intend to keep an eye on this until it is over, just because it is such an intersting idea.

But ice force Don't go and play Lotr online took me 6 weeks to get a lvl 50 dwarf guardian (warthic) who rocks but the end game content is crap..
just look for a game that you will be able to chill out with not have to work your rocks of to get some were..

I'd take it for the reason that I've always wanted a PVP character and I am too much of a carebear to make one from the start (as I wouldn't know what to train) - so all the characters I create end up with maxed mining skills.
I goes against my nature to train the 'Yarr' skills, but on the other hand if I was given a ready to PVP character I actually might do a PVP tour and see what it feels like - compared to my normal day -> Linkage

I hardly know what to say, this seems too spectacular to actually happen, but then again, they say allmost everything is run by players in this game. I quite new, but so far, everything apart from missions have been players. I dont know where i seperate myself from the mass of other players who want this charecter, but it will be used as something to boost friends and coorp. It might not get to see as much PvP action as you would like, but then again, it will have to be tried. One thing i am certain of, is that if i get this charecter, it will not lie on a shelf collecting dust.
In the very likely case that i do not get this charecter, i just have to say, give it to someone who is flying around cruiser-battleship, because if you give it to someone who allready has a good charecter, it will most likely end up for sale. However if you give it to a complete beginner, this person might not even have decided that he will contenue playing, and then it might just end up on a shelf doing nothing.

i' relatively casual player and this is my forst mmo and i started badly (engineer), and had to build my combat skills from the ground up.

Ok, here's the end of my little IceForce story. I kind of wondering if getting a character like this would actually ruin eve for me. But in any case the character will be used for whatever my Corp needs...
(split over multiple posts due to uncontrollable verbosity)

In the weeks leading up to this day, I had of course been wracking my brain trying to figure out what could capture IceForce's attention. So had everybody else. The Academy histologists began to refuse requests for his public records, such was the demand for clues. But then slowly, without realising it, I began to think more about him than about the prize.
Why would he do such a thing? What inner desire was he trying to satisfy with this bizzare and theatrical departure? It took me some time to realise that he was just a person, like all of us; stripped from his capsule, his uniform, his medals and his staff, was he really any different to anyone else?
He wasn't. And like anyone else, he would get bored. And sometimes that boredom would become long and painful. Painful enough to want to just end everything? Perhaps. Perhaps, after all those years at the top, he was just sick of it.
And from this came an idea. A slim chance; a gamble. I rolled it around on the tip of my mind's tongue, tasting, testing it. It started to feel right. A month ago, I decided it *was* right. And so I began my preparations.
The crowd had gotten even thicker in the few minutes I had been tapping away at the NeoComMini with my thumb. There was now a definite hubbub, an impatience in the crowd. All heads were turned to the Academy steps, hoping to see the tall, imposing figure stride out into the brilliant light and point directly at them.
But it was too early; I waited.
We liked to think of this area as 'outdoors'. And it was, but in a more brutal and deadly sense - we were in deep space. The fact that we could walk around 'outside' was a luxury that few other station-dwellers could enjoy. All stations had a defensive shield. From the outside, this looked like a glowing blue orb encompassing the entire station.
But very few also had a vacuum shield. This technology was gifted to us only a few generations earlier by the mysterious Jove. A few of our brightest minds were taken to Jovian space to learn about it, but when they returned all memories of the Jove had been erased. They could build and maintain the vacuum shield, but they could not recall anything about the other fantastic technology we knew the Jove possessed.
Still, the vacuum shield was an astonishing thing. Just 125mm thick, it performed exactly the same tasks as thousands of kilometers of atmosphere on a regular planet. UV filter, insulator, and a barrier against the freezing vacuum of space. A miracle indeed.
And there were many who still beleived it was a trap of some sort; that when it suited them, the Jove would appear and turn off the shield remotely; killing hundreds of thousands of people almost instantly. All space-dwellers were terrified of the vacuum - it didn't take much to convince the weak of mind that one day the shield would be removed and we would all perish horribly.
Of course, the conspiracy theorists then extended this to the whole of new Eden. One day, they were sure, the Jove would somehow disable all shields on all stations at the same time. In the resulting carnage and confusion, they could take over without so much as a shot being fired.
Of course, these theories were wrong. I knew this for two reasons: First, the Jove didn't need to hatch such elaborate plans in order to make us all slaves. They had ships and weaponry so far in advance of our own that defeating us would be just a formality.

But the second reason I knew the theories were false was more interesting. I was a shield engineer. One of the 'lucky' few. I hadn't been to Jove space; I hadn't even been alive when that occurred. But I had been instructed by those who had been to Jove. I knew how the shield worked, and I knew that it couldn't be shut down at all, let alone remotely. Of course it was possible that the Jove had somehow concealed this function, but it was so unlikely as to be not worth considering. Again, their technology was so advanced it was pointless to question their motives. If they had wanted us as slaves, we already would have been.
What few others knew was that the shield had a few functions that went beyond acting as an artificial atmosphere. It had some aesthetic parameters that we could control; it could change in color; it could emit sound; and it was possible to have it project images from it's interior surface.
Basically, as it was explained to us, this great shield was not only an articifial atmosphere, but also the Jove equivalent of an outdoor video theater. I was suprised to learn that these abilities had never been revealed to the general public. It seemed our military commanders wanted the shield to remain a purely military device. They didn't want it to be used for such frivolous purposes as entertainment.
But I knew the truth, and I could use it to my advantage.
The crowd had become very dense indeed. People pushed into me from all sides and I stuffed the hand holding the Mini into a pocket to protect it. It wouldn't be good if the fireworks were started early by a clumsy push.
With the crowd came the inevitable rise in temperature. My implants were working overtime to keep my core temperature down, but even so, beads of sweat had broken out on my forehead and my hands felt sticky. Most of the people surrounding me, being civilians and too poor to afford such luxuries, were dripping wet. Crowd-control drones hovered in the air spraying jets of super-cooled water vapour at those who were in danger of dehydrating. People started to call out for IceForce. All eyes were on the steps and yet they stayed empty.
But suddenly there was movement. I zoomed my opticals to the steps' range and saw the main door begin to open. The crowd suddenly became quiet. Seconds passed, then a minute. Nothing. I was so tense by now that I was seeing movements where there were none. I couldn't press the button too soon; IceForce had to be on the steps when everything started.
The crowd started to get restless again, the noise level rose. People shifted their weight from one tired leg to the other, knowing they couldn't leave but becoming more and more uncomfortable. I was standing perhaps three hundred meters from the steps, and there were probably half a million people between me and my goal.
'Hurry the **** up', I muttered under my breath. I looked down to see who was standing on my foot when the crowd suddenly roared. I looked up - there he was. I zoomed again, to confirm; it certainly looked like him and my implants verified this just a few tenths of a second later. Time to go. I wasn't sure if he was planning to make some sort of speech, but I had to begin before any other person's plans were hatched.
I took a deep breath. My thumb pressed slowly on the little grey button on the side of my Mini.
It looked like Ice was about to address the crowd when he suddenly looked up. So did everyone else. A gasp could be heard from thousands of lips. The shield was changing color.
I was gasping as well, but only in case someone was watching me. This was my doing, my fault, and I knew exactly what was going to happen. The shield had begun to throb now, varying from it's normal light blue tint to a much darker, opaque navy blue. The almost inaudible hum it normally produced was replaced by a deep buzzing sound, a bad sound.

The crowd was still transfixed. It may have occured to some of them that things were about to go horribly wrong, but nobody had made a move yet. They were still in shock. I began to push past people, making my way toward the steps, and IceForce, and, I realised; my destiny.
The shield's throbbing had quickened and the buzz had become louder and louder. Some people broke out of their trance and began to push their way toward the nearest building. Others soon joined. People began screaming as others were trampled underfoot by those trying to escape. Within seconds the entire quadrangle was a mass of screaming, frightened people. Everyone was pushing away from the steps, away from IceForce, to get to the nearest open doors. Perhaps it didn't occur to them that the buildings were hardly vacuum-proof. They would be no safer in there than out here.
But the crowd thinned and I slowly, carefully pciked my way toward the steps, toward my goal.
I saw IceForce still looking up at the shield. There were guards now trying to take him inside, no doubt to a secure chamber deep un the station that was safe against a vacuum. But he didn't want to go.
I saw this and realised my theory had been correct. He wanted to die. He wanted the shield to collapse and let the greedy vacuum suck the very air from his lungs.
Well I wasn't going to let him off that easily. Things were going to get worse.
I needed to start the second phase before the crowd had disappeared. I needed mass hysteria to distract the guards that were closest to him. I stopped and pressed the grey button on my Mini again.
The shield suddenly emitted a monstrous sound. Like a drawn-out explosion, it rumbled deep in my gut and I felt nauseous. This made most of the crowd stop running and look up again. Perfect. They were still gazing slack-jawed at the shield when it disappeared.
In it's place was the largest armada of fighting ships that anyone present had ever seen. And they were not ours. In fact, very few people there would have recognised them at all, as I had built them as models from the tiny collection of blueprints available in the most secure military archives.
They were Jove ships. Seven Jove Titans surrounded the station. They were each flanked by dozens of Jove motherships, each of which in turn had a fleet of smaller vessels in support.
I pointed and screamed at the top of my lungs - "It's the Jove" - and that's all it took.
The crowd descended into a hysterical panic I could barely believe. People ran in all directions, screaming and crying. Others simply stood rooted to the spot. All the Amarr were on their knees in desperate prayer.
I turned and began to run toward the steps. IceForce was still looking up, but his expression had changed, when the shield looked likely to explode, he had been shocked but somehow entralled; as if he wanted it to fail. But now, faced with an invincible invading force and little hope of escape; he shrank back. He was scared.
I was very close now, less than a hundred meters. Ice was looking around in panic but his guards had long since ran away themselves. I reached the bottom of the stairs and bounded up them three at a time. My hand had reached into a concealed pocket in my uniform and pulled out a long, slender blade. My thumb slipped off it's sheath and suddely it glinted in the sunlight, impossibly shiny. I gave up concealing anything and let out a wild shreik as I got within ten meters of the famous general. He turned and looked at me. His eyes betrayed his confusion; then realisation that this was all an elaborate trick. He realised he was going to be assassinated.

It had been barely a minute since I began my little piece of theater. In that time, IceForce had gone from being a bored general making one last futile gesture before retirement, to an old man grateful for his imminent death as the shield failed, and then to a terrified commander witnessing the most crushing defeat his people had ever seen. And now, suddenly, he realised he was just a man, and another man was going to end it all with a tiny little knife.
I was close enough to dive at him. I tackled him to the ground and quickly had him pinned. He was lying face down on the cold cement of the academy steps, I sat on his back and pulled his head up with my left hand. I put the tiny, ferociously sharp blade to his neck. I leaned forward and whispered into his ear.
"Do you still want to die?"
He took a few seconds to respond. Eventually he spat it out: "No". Then louder, more certain "NO!".
I hadn't noticed the guards appearing from the Academy doors, realising now that it was all a trick. I didn't notice, until it was too late. Immense pain and light filled my head as they hit me with a dozen stun bolts at the same time. Everything, as the cliche goes, went black.

Iceforce, you may recall our short time in net7 together or not and I'm sad to hear your leaving. I can't but help thinking about that time in Jita when...
We were sitting in Jita local spamming it up when an old Ammar character aproached you with a bet. he said "I'll bet anyone here 100 million Isk that I'm longer soft than you are hard." Laughing you asked if he was crazy. He said "No your the one that is, and if you think I am then take the bet!!!" "Sure I'll take that bet" was your reply. " so then you asked "o.k. How long are you soft?" To this the old Ammar replied " 11 Months".

Hello ,
I have been in Eve now since August of 2006.
I must say i have enjoyed it a great deal. The complexity and social interaction is wonderful.
Joined Tides of Silence after about a month of banging around alone and it's been uphill ever since.
Biggest boost though was getting my oldest son to play alongside me .
He is just learning the ins and outs of Eve and is
destined to be a great Pvp pilot .I myself am more carebearish "Shoot Roids!! Not People " lmao.
If im chosen for this i would like my son to recieve the character .

I think they provide one of the best mentoring for new players in eve ō if your lost as a new players in eve join them ō
What I would do for Eve University whit this character
First every new players want to see a big ship, well the carrier that come whit him will sure brighten there eyes and maybe set a goal for some of them to aim for.
Second will be to show them what your able to do whit a carrier, IĘm sure they will love to play around whit fighter
Third + of the isk this character would get under my management would go to help Eve University to provide skill book for the news players. If one day I do leave EVE for a extended time I will engage my self to action IceForce character back for 1 isk no more no less in the same concept as this one

Due to the limitation of eve mail I figured I'd post here about other games lol.
I've been playing for years and have been to several of the online games but honestly wasn't too impressed with many of them. I have suggested Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2 to some friends on Eve. It has single and multiplayer options and costs nothing to play online so works well for us :) I'm working on bringing servers back online for Neverwinter 1 & 2. For me and some others it's nice to mix up games for variety. Too much of any one game can burn you out. Until I found Eve I had not found any pay to play games that didn't feel like a grind so I've gotten addicted LOL. I can understand looking for something different if you've been running hard at Eve or any game. I also know my experiences with WOW and such aren't necessarily typical so I hope you find what you're looking for when you leave Eve. If you get into NWN 1/2 anytime look me up. I'm aidonor on those forums.
Almost forgot, I have a friend who suggested this to me: http://www.wesnoth.org/
I can't say one way or the other as I haven't tried it yet.
And if you get back to Eve in the future, whether I get the character or not, feel free to look me up. I figure I'll be here awhile :) I'll get you some T2 fittings and rigs for your starter frig ;)

Its great when you gan get somthing in common to play with your kids. i'm divorced, and only get to see my son everyother weekend but now he plays eve i get to see him when he is on line.. Also my eldest plays as well so get all 3 of us playing. look out for the UKM Clan.. lol

After getting your security status to a decent number (-3 at the highest) I'd start racking up enough bounties on your head to then pop into some system w/ n00blar players passing thru. Get the attention of one such n00b and let him/her pod kill you and collect the bounty. Thus passing on your legacy of generosity.
I'd even work out giving away all your assets in a lottery such as this. No point in keeping stuff when you want to be generous.
After that I'd probably put you to work making isk for my main account (I have 5+ accounts atm)... no really I'm not addicted.
And as for a new game? Dude, if your giving up EvE... I'd suggest RL -> way harder and less forgiving!

I like this idea, only hope that when my time finally comes (I've semi quit three times already! but keep coming back) I have the mind to do the same thing. Ill probably just biomass it all though TBH!

i thought a long time about it. what to write. why me and what i should write to get the char. but i will be honest. i guess my girlfriend isnt so interested in eve. my own char has 12m skillpoints. hmm if i get the char i would sell mine sell yours sell all assest and try to buy the 70m skillpoints char which i had seen some days ago :x that would be perfect. christmas for me. but i hope somebody gets the char who really want to play him. hes better than mine but with the money i would get i could by a better one =)

However if ya wana hear a real eve story Talk to Trilik Silverwind. A long buddy of mine his character is from 03 so you would think he has uber skill points. Well once like you he got bored of the game and sold his account for isk. 2 years later in 05 the same guy who bought the account sold it back to him at this time I think he had over 30m Skillpoints, well Being so happy he got his original character back he decide to hop on out ant try and rember how to play again. Let him tell you from first hand experince " Never fly in 0.0 with out a clone". He is just now getting back to 21m skill points, cant say I would give him the character but I MIGHT let him droll all over him.

Alright, so I originally tried to EVEmail this to you.. but it cut out while I was writing it.. Guess its too long. Anyway, this is going to be a bit embarrassing probably, but what the hell.. this is the internet right? So screw it. However.. I am posting with an Alt.. because some of the information I mention in here would probably get me in some trouble with my main otherwise..
I've been playing EVE for a little over a year and a half now.. This is my first and only character here. I've watched people come and go in my little corporation here.. I've grown up to the designation of "Elder", which I guess is about as close to a director as the CEO will ever allow. I've been a struggling PVPer for a long time.. I'm not very good, I'll admit.. But I do try. Or I did. I guess this is where the story will get a little odd (or maybe not.. depends on how you look at it).
Anyway, I've been hanging out with this girl for a while. She's absolutely amazing, likes all the same **** as me. I told her about EVE and showed it to her, and she's been wanting to play. Problem is, I'm currently in college, and she's a bit younger.. finishing up high school. So we don't exactly have any money to be spending on online games. I'm of course addicted, so I saved up the cash to drop on a 12 month subscription for myself.. Was hoping to try to get up a bit of isk so I could buy some GTCs for her to play as well. Problem is, and here's where I might sound a bit whiny, I'm in IAC. And BOB and MC and everyone started with their fun in the Catch area at about the time I wanted to start getting this thing going..
I don't mind fighting the good fight and everything. In fact I've killed and died numerous times both in this conflict. That part of it is fun. The part that isn't is the fact that I no longer have any isk to spare. My one asset, a freighter (the type shall not be named), which is now trapped in friendly, yes friendly, space. I had been trying to move it for months on end, way before this thing with BOB got to this level. Back when Foofighter and the other FCs I actually respected left IAC. Anyway, there was no one around who would help me, scout for me, or anything. Not even a single shuttle pilot or alt would assist me. Since I don't have an alt of my own, my ship is still sitting there in station. I've put it up on contract many times with no buyers for a reasonable price, so I may just have to sell it way below price.
Anyway, the whole point of that.. I guess it turned into a bit of a rant, and I apologize.. Was simply to show that though I've worked hard in this game, I currently have little to show for it. Maybe I'll get enough isk from the freighter sale to buy a couple battleships in empire. Who knows. But my goals currently are to start up my own pirate corp, because I've never tried that aspect of EVE and I'm tired of the carebearing I've so far had to endure. It seems that no one is interested in having a PVP character in their corp.. and I have no way to raise the money for the dreadnought I can fly and at the same time pay for my girlfriend's account with isk. So I'm going to hold off on the big ships for her.. And hopefully things will work out. Of course, if somehow I won this thing it would certainly help out. :P Anyway, I've managed to get a few other friends of mine to join EVE and they have expressed interest in joining my pirating when its started up. :) If I can make it anyway.
So.. After that longwinded tldr post, here's crossing my fingers. And my apologies if I have offended anyone with my statements here.. Was merely an explanation of my experiences.

Perhaps you should just take a break and NOT get rid of the character. I have known lots of people that though that they left EVE for good....only to regret no longer having their character/account to come back to. Not sure what promped you to quit after all this time man, but I would take this time now to take the high road and ask you to re-concider your character give away.
Take a break or month or two....hell, break for a year. train a long skill.
Not many games out there that will beat eve-online in the pvp department...I know ive looked and kept comming back. Eve has got some of the best MMO communities out there, and friends and mortal enemies alike can agree on the fact that we all share the same yearing for a good gank or comming together as corporation to create a super power of wimpy carebears.....
Don't make such a hasty choice to leave just yet my friend...take my advice and just go on a extended leave of absense.

I played EVE on and off for 2 years.
I have had and sold 2 charecters. (A big mistake)
due to game boredom and some Aggro at home, I stopped playing and Started Plaing WoW and BF2142, Vanguard etc...
Then I realized somthing odd, I missed my "EVE" friends.
Its funny I started playing with my brother in CA (im in FL) then my other brother joined us from RI, we played togrether, pirated together and lost sec status together
As we went along we gathered a dedicated group of friends from all over the world, we have players from the UK, Canada, and all over the USA.
We always flew together and talked over Vent. We'd get drunk and bull****, talk about skill training, different alliances, some left our corp to form other Corps and some of us joined them, but the core group always kept in contact through our forums and on Vent, and still we flew together, Lost ships together, made ISK together formed alliances togehter.
This core group of Players who I call my Friends,is what I miss.
I miss the late night gaming and bull****ting sessions, the non game relevant talks about our lives, and yes Flying with them.
Now my wife is interested in playing (mwhahaha)(Her toon is Hollicles and has the samehead tattoo as this toon lol), and my friends call for me to return, but the thought of the long climb up the skill tree and the possibility of never catching up skill-wise to my friends is the most daunting of thoughts, but it is somthing I am doing, and is somthing that isint so bad since I have been with my friends again.
Already were planning Op'stogether (im the bait lol)
I would rather be protector to my wife as she enters the EVE universe rather than a skillless noob. To be able to watch over her and show her the ropes, and rejoin my friends.
I do not have the finances to buy vast amounts of ISK, nor the resources to gather the vast amounts of ISK needed to purchase a toon.
In short sir, if I were to recive the toon, It would rekindle and old relationship for me and my brethren, and start a new realtionship forme and my wife in EVE.
Out there in the void, in the vastness of space, are my friends.......awaiting my return

Too bad you are quitting Eve. If you haven't reconsidered by the back of Ocotber... I think I could be a good stepfather for IceForce :)
I started Eve in January and quite soon joined the merry band of fools that is Darkness Inc. (DKI), the greatest guys I've met in an MMO. We are a happy bunch of (highsec) pirates whose only goal in Eve is having fun. We flip the occasional can, get wardecced by mercs paid by angry miners and we never run from a fair fight.
Lately we kinda feel we are outgrowing the highsec piracy, and some of our members have already started the move to lowsec (A lot more happy miners in Sobaseki now :) ). I think that IceForce would be a great addition to our corp endeavors of bringing the DKI fun to lowsec, as I feel that we are ready to take our game experience to a higher level. I believe that DKI is destined for great things in EVE, and I think that IceForce would be a great addition to our team (and give us the much-needed firepower too ;) )
Anyway I hope you reconsider since EVE is a great game, but if not: read above :D

Me, as well as you played the game at beta, when if i remember well, everyone and their family was mining omber, i can't remember more because i stayed at the game for 3 weeks before someone told me that this game is not for everyone, so i went to my first MMORPG, FFXI, where i leveled a character to 75, good game, i love japanese mythology but at the end got bored, so i went to play WoW, very funny game, lots of things to do, lots of kids too (i'm 26) but then i got bored once i saw at that time that EVE was getting bigger, i downloaded the client and tried to play but, surprise, my 2 years old account was gone.
so i made a new one and played again until so, so many mean people at the help channel, kept telling me afther i was asking something, that this game is not for everyone and less for the low intelligence people like me, so i got mad one day and afther 4 weeks of playtime i did quit, met my wife, got a nice family, kids, kept playing WoW having fun, but then, some months ago, i made this character because i couldnt remember of my old one, and right now i'm training to be a pvper, i really hope to be in EVE for some good time, because right now there is no other game that interests me.
so why do i deserve this character?, well i don't think i really deserve it, but it will give me back some of the time SP wise i lost due to being in love with wife :).

wont even attempt to sound pathetic or begging. I would just like the character so I can continue the legacy of such a magnificant toon. If you do decide to give wow, come play on hellscream hoard and look for Ath in Ogrimar in evening time PST.
Guess thats it. I dont suck up or try to play silly games... just try to keep it simple and honest. Good luck to all those who made the attempt.

I actually was in one of the top US Alliance guilds, I'd say prolly top 10. I actually played WoW like it was a second Job. My friends at work actually teased me about it. The night we killed KT at 3am I informed my guild that it was the last day i was going to play. I held to that, I quit gaming that day. Then a friend of mine whom plays this game told me about it. At first I refused because I had decided I wasn't going to play an MMO ever again. I finally gave EVE a try and now I've been playing for a while. I really do enjoy this game, the fact that I can play when i want, login, logout, no peer-pressure to play.
I don't hold high goals in this game, I joined my friends corp and have stayed there. I've traded my own char a few times so that I can try and enjoy different aspects of the game. I can't really afford to buy a char so I trade for what I can. I've never played a capital ship pilot, but I think it would be fun.
Oh, and if you were curious, I haven't played wow since the day after that 3am KT kill. I went out on top of that game. Couldn't be happier with it.

p.s.
I like this idea, I get a feeling you're just sitting back reading this stuff and enjoying. This experience is like putting a cherry on top of your eve sundae. Good Luck in your life.

If you give your character to me, I guarantee within a week, I will have blown up your than, and spent all your isk.. probably frivolously. But.. you can watch the FRAPS !
Likely after that point ill use your char for pvp alongside my main, Solant. While I don't currently run two accounts, I would be willing to open a second to accomodate IceForce.
As far as other games go.. it really depends on what you look for in a game. Were you attracted to EVE because of its sleek graphics? The brutal pvp?(ie losing your stuff any time you die)? The steep learning curve?
I've played pretty much every MMO under the sun, so I can pretty much give you the lowdown on any game you might want to try out.. some of them are good, many of them are terrible but still have that addictive/competitive quality that can make people play them to death anyway..
For example.. I played UO back in the day, and yes, it did have pretty laughable graphics, but the gameplay was and still is _unparalleled_. The pvp was intense, because if you died, you lost everything you had. You could greif people in the most cruel ways.. I remember a buddy of mine once killed someone, then opened up a portal... he told the guys ghost (when you die you become a ghost in UO, and you get to walk back to town ;D) that it was a portal to town... of course, it wasnt a portal to town but a portal to an isolated island in the middle of the ocean. In UO, if you dont have a boat, you aint going over water.. so yeah.. that guy became that islands permanent ghost (or at least until his clanmates bailed him out) Stuff like that was gold.. and will never be surpased, I don't think, by new age games. Anyway, UO has undergone a graphics update, and looks alot better now, and truly while it is an oldschool game I would recommend it to anyone that doesn't have issues with last-gen graphics. If you are interested in trying it out, let me know, I can teach you the ropes and give you a head start.
As far as games such as WOW.. I played wow for a long time, and the pvp is pretty fun, but the pvp just doesnt have the intense, hardcore edge that I like in games like EVE/UO.
Anyway, I'm at work (10 hour nightshifts yay), so I can't go into more mmo's at the moment... but if you are looking for a new game to sink your teeth into, I can defenitely find one you will like, and I still play many of them so chances are we can rip stuff up in one of them too.
Regardless of whether you're gonna 'give me your stuff' or not, shoot me an evemail or something and ill give you a more in depth listing of my mmo-encyclopedic knowledge.. I have a lot of m8's that play many games and we are always looking for good gamers to chill with and hatch ridiculous plans in games. Hell, most of them have been into the MMO scene longer than me..

I'm curious as to why would you give your character to some stranger that impresses you most? Don't get me wrong or anything I have played GuildWars for 2 years, lead the Guild to r142 in guild battles and has awesome time playing with friends day in and day out. Not only were we high rank chars with all skills and such, but we also had some new players who couldn't play alot and their progress was slow and rather painful. They found it hard to integrate into high level pvp we played due to lack of skills and funds. We supported them as much as we could, but at the end of the day when I decided to pass over the leadership and retire 2 months ago I decided to share all my stuff with guildies and all my chars were given for safe keeping to the member I had with least experience.
I know this made Josh's day as he finally had access to skills it was taking him ages to get to. He's a good player and by doing this it was like saying thank you all for the great times we've had. I still visit occasionally but to be honest I wouldn't have given my stuff and chars to anyone who hasn't been through thick and thin with me, why? Because noone else would neither appreciate nor understand the significance of it.
You tell me, why would you give all your hard work to undeserving stranger? I would sooner you delete it and leave all these vultures hungry circling for someone else's bones to pick apart.

This is a repost of the eve mail I sent you, there wasnt enough room lol.
I have to be honest with you, I really want the character, but not enough to tell you that theres so many cool game I can recommend to you that are better then Eve, I mean yeah they can be fun, but for the most part they are very linear and the endgame is little more then a fashion show where you show off your E-peen by getting epic or unique items ( which anyone can get with a week of grinding and instance)
I would love to tell you that you'll find a better game or more interesting one but I don't think you will, personally I have endgame character is Wow and FFXI, the gameplay now is just beat up on the same guys until you get the drop you want, sure its fun for the first few days, but it gets boring really quick and for the most part peple in your guild are ust out for themselves because there really is no benefit to helping each other out other then getting what you want. I think thats where eve truely stands alone, all the people I have met in eve are some of the best people I will ever know. I think the coolest thing though is that I get to know people in other countries, I remember my first time in an alliance teamspeak and I heard someone from Denmark, I was so surprised because the majority of mmos isolate each country into different servers so all you meet are fellow americans and maybe the occasional person who signs up to the wrong server on purpose, I know its just a game but I have actually had the opporunity to meet interesting people from other countries and learn things about them I never would have known otherwise and that is where eve is not "just a game." So as much as I want that character I really can't sit here and say you will enjoy another game better then eve, if you wanted to try out wow or FFXI eve mail me and I will be happy to help you out in one of those games, I still own the characters and plenty of currency to help get you started and if you like it then thats great, maybe you need a change of pace to the hack and slash mmo games, maybe we're both at the opposite ends right now, your looking maybe for somthing more simple where as I need a more complicated and in depth game. Either way I wish you the best of luck in whatever you decide to do, even if you don't choose me for the character the invitation for help in wow or ffxi is always open.

hmm, giving away your hard work of eve character for just nothing? this is seemingly a good idea of helping someone who is unable to afford to buy a new character, but I smell little fishy about this event..knowing of someone's account info for free? then you will decide to give a character whoever impress you? nice idea, but not worth it.

Thats story about Victor Frankenstein and the creature that he made.
Victor was onch trying to catch the monster on a sled becouse it was to much ice but the monster was on sled aswell but one momment the ice broken and monster got away and than victor got saved by Captain Walton who was on his ship there exploring there. Then Victor told him a story about that monster he saw.
Story: Onch when it was lightings out side victor saw how powerful electricity was and he wanted to see if that power could make a life creature so he started look for some body parts and put it together in his labratory. Than he Lighting came and maked a life in that body, it was huge and ugly. The monster escaped from the labratory and victor hoped not see it again. Victor loved a woman name is Elizabeth and Victor had two brothers William and Ernest. One time it was found a corpse of little boy in the town where they lived and it was william the monster had killd William Frankenstein, Victore knew it was the monster becuse he saw him on hill there.
The monster wanted Victor to make a woman monster for him or he would come to Victor and Elizabeth Wedding. Victor accepted and after few years he was on island in scotland and maked a labratory there and started work on woman monster corpse. But victor knew that the monster he made was evil but promiss leave all alone if he made a woman monster but the woman monster he was gonna make had not maked the promiss so he took a knive and cuted the woman monster corpse. The monster saw it and lost all hope about happiness. On Victor's wedding night did Victor hear a scream out of Elizabeth room he ran to the room but it was to late, Elizabeth was murderd by the monster. Victor was very ill.
He decided to go and catch the monster and kill it and not stop till its done. Nothing more happend till now said Victor to Captain Walton but now my story end, then victor died. Walton saw the monster stand next to him and and than he said to the monster that now Victor's pain is ended than monster said he was gonna go to the mountains and make a fire and than lie on it.

Well even if the toon isn't up for sale Ive seen alot of WoW posts here figured I'd post mine just the same. I played WoW since beta, good game but a horrible community. Don't get me wrong deuche bags alike have spread to eve as well I see. I done the highwarlord grind on Perenolde with my shaman which was just mind numbing, then got into an "end game" guild and had to be online at 7pm everynight minus sundays if I wanted to even stay in the guild. /wrists
I did it long enough to make me sick then switched to eve before the expack for wow and then yet again when the expack came I should have stuck with eve...but as you can all guess...I didn't. I played wow again for about a year and finally after the endless grind of the same **** with different pictures and graphics. Im back at eve. I left a few good people on wow and a 70 Sham, Warlock, and Warrior. By far tanking in that game has gotta be what kept me there cause I still miss it but being required to be online everynight is bull**** and boring, and the one thing in WoW that beats eve the ONLY thing, is pvp at a certain aspect. I like pvp'ing in Eve but I cant keep doing it as when I do get my **** kicked in its time to buy and fit another ship. WoW theres a respawn charge right back in. But then again pvp'in in eve makes the risks and gains better to. So fair trade...anywho my 2 cents.

Depending on what you had in mind for this character I may or may not be an acceptable choice. I will be perfectly honest, I am a greedy bastard and would love to get my hands on this character but I'm not going to brown nose to get it. If by some miracle I was chosen to receive this massive boon, I would immediately join my other friends in Goonfleet and join the r**e train in there ignoble quest to crush the BOB alliance.

I have a love for Eve the pales all others, nobody but nobody loves this game more then me! I have dedicated every waking moment for the past year + to this game, and will continue to do so. I have even placed special directions in my will to make sure my characters keep training and growing even after I am dead. I plan this year to quit my job and move to Iceland and pray in front of the CCP building hoping to be hired as a tester, and maybe some hot coco. I am only working now to get a plane ticket, also given up my Girl Friend (She didn't understand EVE had to go) and Family. I sit hear praying that I will be the lucky winner!
SHOW ME THE LOVE! Oh yeah I have a spare isk... logging on now to send it! DID I TELL YOU THAT LOVE EVE? I am wearing self made Eve underwear, I have EVE banners all over my home... what else can I say, if you don't pick me you be loved for making this forum more exciting then it has in a long time, and allowing me to entertain myself by making this post!

if you haven't given him away I'd care for him I had to take a 2 year break from eve due to financial reasons and so all my friends I originally started with have .. surpassed me to the point I couldn't play with them any more, if you allow me to care for this char I could atleast play on a level playing field, and maybe even dip into PvP

Not entirely sure I can win this, but I'll give it a shot any way.
My name is Cadet Cpl. David Kirk. I'm currently attending Hargrave Military Academy (www.hargrave.edu). If you want verification of my name, check under News/Photos/Calendars, then look under photo galleries > school topic > military > 2007 NCO school graduation. If that isn't enough for you, email me at [email protected] (my last name followed by the first letter of my first name) and I'll verify it. Anyway, back to the point. I don't have the option of training a character up to dreadnaught, carrier, mothership, or even battleship level. During the school year, we're issued laptops where the USB ports are locked, windows installer is locked, and the internet is blocked on a number of sites (eve-online.com is blocked, but myeve.eveonline.com isn't... odd). We're not allowed to bring our own laptops here, and so I don't. I've been playing EVE on this account for about 4 months now, and I'd love to pilot a capital ship. I spend my free time looking on google for information about EVE, I can't get enough of the stories of large fleet battles in which people struggle to take down supercapitals, and I'd give a lot to be a part of that. I'm being called to go stand in front of the school right now to form up and lower the flag, so I have to go, but please try to think about how happy I'd be to have a character that I can use to fly captials during the summer & holidays.

You can have my WoW lvl 60 dwarf warrior with full t3 :) Haven't played on it in a year and it's loaded in terms of gold and equipment to head straight into Burning Crusade and so :)
Oh, and I'll wash your car. Can't beat that.
