...this is by far the most amusing thing I've ever seen a State Loyalist spout here.
Honestly... you shoud be a comedian... you'd make more of a killing than you seem to be against The Guristas.
My Dear Mr Verone, And there was me thinking you were a person of some intellect, yet, your words would appear to show otherwise. Just because we are combatants does not mean we cannot remain civilised and exchange the usual banter. That is what raises us above the level of beasts.
(I've taken a leaf out of the history books here. Right from the time of the Greek & Persian Wars, officers and men have communicated with each other across the divide of battle lines. Alexander the Great exchanged letters with Darious the Great. King Richard the First exchanged communication with Saladin, and if Richard had not died at such a young age, the history of Europe and the Middle East may have been very different. During the American Civil War troops regularly used to meet up with their opponents and swop tobacco and spirits. The First World War was full of tales of the opposing forces fraternising with each other. Many officers from both sides used to write to each other between the wars and even managed to exchange letters during WW2. It is well known that During the 1930's the German High Command used to hold wargames (Krieg Spiel), where British and Russian officers would be invited to take part. It was even rumoured Rommel and Montgomery exchanged letters. History is full of such accounts.) That which does not kill us makes us stronger. The Universe is ruled by three basic principles- Matter, Energy and Enlightened Self-Interest! |

(I have nothing to do with this thread nor the war, but if I recall from my schooling, the conversations you labeled above, weren't primarily displayed to the societies involved, never publicly, not until usually the war had been ended. This isn't the proper symposium for anyone to be discussing important, diplomatic relations, unles both sides have agreed to a public course of action. So, the argument you have is a bit vague and highly ineffective, as most members that use this forum will admit, these types of conversations happen behind closed doors and with limited membership.
Also, war games? I would assume it was during peacetime, which you happen not to be in. The swapping of stories, tobacco and spirits, in my eyes, probably due to the fact that the closer home the war is, the more friendly you can be, or once were I.E. - The Civil War was brother against brother and was not a soldier's war, it was a President's. Here people post Declaration's of War, banter each other, in volatile or respectful manners, you CAN'T pick nor complain. In war, you flinch and you're dead.
Anyways, time for me to step off the soap box, back to being in character.)
When guns are pointed and war begins, friendships end. If you look at it this way, beasts do not use words to enrage their enemy, however friendly you think the words are. They make it known their intentions, and they strike. That may seem primitive to you, but to me it does seem highly efficient. Maybe I'm not cut out to be Caldari if it's private corporation's members act such as you. -----

Just because we are at war does not mean we should not be courteous, the Consortium is an organisation of honour and as such treat all with the respect they deserve.

Your hypocrisy knows no boundries Irias. I find it amusing that a traitor continuously spouts words like respect and honor.

For the first time, I'm agreeing with a state loyalist.
From what I hear, if the Guristas and those affilliated are as bad as we seem, then you seem to match up.
I'd reccomend you speak to someone about looking into the benefits of aiding Venal, Salo, but unfortunatley we have a code of practice you may find it too hard to adhere to if history dictates your actions correctly.

My loyalty is with the Caldari people, my duty is to them, my honour comes from upholding that duty. When asked for aid I give it, when asked for a favour I will so it and this I have proven time and again.
I am called a traitor by APEX, why? Because I did what they refused to do. I put my duty to the people before profit. For that "crime" I went before a tribunal and have since served my time.
This war is between the ATTC and TAS, and yet APEX pilots have turned it into insults against me. I asked you to no longer continue posting and yet you have. That is why I have no respect for Vendrin and little for his followers. In the words of Gorion Wassenar, you are acting like children.
All APEX, I request, no insist that you stop posting here if you have nothing better to do.

The admission that I find this whole affair between APEX and you Irias as a waste of time is nothing new to them. Furthermore I would recommend to not try and make me a party of this mess you two have made for each other. ----- *results may vary*
