Title says it all.
I was watching Alien: Resurrection today (don't ask why) and it suddenly occured to me to ask a question that I guess I just never thought of before. So WHERE ARE THEY?!?! Eve needs aliens! I'm not talking Earth and Beyond style where the giant slugs "shoot" missles and and magically "drop" reactors. I'm also not talking about HOOOHA scary aliens either that appear as you open that bulkhead and leave you with a  and then a hole in the head. I'm talking about crazy swarms we must fight back like in Pitch Black or (lord forgive me) Lost in Space. Or maybe the "intelligent" kind who want to take over and kill all of humanity just because (like I said, intelligent). Where are they?? I mean yeah, the joves are freaky, but they are like Haloween freaky and we need silicon-based freak. I mean CHOOTLE all we have are roids out here. PORK, I'd settle for alien hemroids! Or maybe giant, roid-dwelling worms that sleep with their mouths open and don't notice when you fly into them and land in their stomach. *sigh*

Well for the EVE galaxy to have aliens it would need to be realistic. EVERY SINGLE STAR having several planets is NOT realsitic to begin with. Being able to live in the middle of a galaxy and not die from radiation is NOT realistc (I think...) and heh... Stargates and warp is prolly not realistic either but what the hell...
Im not saying that it wouldnt be cool with aliens in Eve but its just not the way the game is created to be.
(But if youre looking for freaky people who THINK theyre intelliget try finding Jade... )

I think it would be interesting to have some alien contact. But not before the whole galaxy is open and we were introduced to tech level 5.
Maybe those aliens would introduce a whole new tech level and finally tell us where the hell we are and where the Milkyway is.

aliens are always badly done. they are always just humans with masks. i like the fact that all of EVE is humans rather than different species.

... You watched Alien today and honestly didn't notice how similar the Jove ships and stuff are to Mr.Giger's work? ;)

You need to stop watching Star Trek exclusively :-) How can you like just humans and no aliens!?! Which space sci-fi have you been watching? I mean jeez, we have POOFing aliens here on earth who abduct our cows and stuff and there aren't any in Eve? Well, I suppose they might not have hit the new world yet but we gotta have something besides fedo. And yes j0, I have noticed about the joves. But then again, the joves never want to come out and play :-)

This would be a cool way to pull the Joviens into the game. Their space gets attacked by the classic starship troopers bug aliens, they spawn at every gate, ever belt, every station. Players have to wipe out about 50,000 of them before they leave :D

Perhaps some of these closed off regions contain aliens. Thay can't reach us and we can't reach them, untill one day someone invents a jump drive and opens Pandoras Box.

The aliens are out there... somewhere... watching you. They snicker at our little wars and find our inability to detect them pathetic. They bide their time as they watch us fragment ourselves into little separate factions.
One thing, we call them "aliens", however, we are the visitors here. This is their home, not ours, and they have held this territory since before our home solar system coalesced into planets. Be cautious of where you sail, friend...

Jove are probably the closest thing we have atm to aliens, and dont forget rogue drones, havnt seen any in retail. Maybe they were dropped?

na there just not in yet.. its an option in the scanner thingy if you wish to display rouge drones in it or not..
