1: When scanning with a Multi-spec, and if there are multiple sites in system, will my results say
Quote: Gravimetric Gravimetric Unknown
or
Quote: Gravimetric Unknown
2: Are unknown results just one of the four site flavors? I.e. either a mag, radar, etc?
3: Are all sig's picked up by the multi-spec? That is, is there a chance that I will use a multi-spec and miss any of the sites in system?

1. I have to guess a little, since I've never found a system with more than one particular kind of profession site. But I'd say it just shows one result for each type, regardless. Unknowns definitely function that way, and I doubt the others are any different.
2. There are 5 signature types: Unknown, Grav, Mag, Radar, and Ladar, though the last only occurs in certain areas. Unknowns are equally detectable by each equivalent type of exploration probe.
3. They don't have a chance of failure exactly, though Unknowns are tricky right now. They'll always detect them if they're around, but unfortunately they also detect some sites that didn't despawn properly, as well as encounter sites as Unknowns. * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

1. You'll get one result per site type even if there's more than one. So:
Gravimetric Unknown
2. "Unknown" is supposed to mean a deadspace complex, the kind you get to via a warp gate. Currently, multispectral probes pick up the "Cosmic Anomaly" sites, which are small deadspace areas without warp gates that anyone can scan with their onboard scanner, as "Unknown". However, the other probe types (quest, pursuit, comb, sift) do not detect these sites as "Unknown".
This makes it difficult to actually scan for deadspace plexes. Personally I ignore any unknown hits unless I happen to find one when scanning for another site type.
3. Multispec probes are 100% accurate, although they never tell you where something is, just what's there when you use it. And with a 999AU range they'll cover any system, regardless of size.

Correction on post nr. 4; I have found encounter sites with quest / probe / sift. Those sites usually have a sig strength over 5 on the probes though, so it's possible to distinguish between them and real combat sites.
(mind you, it's been awhile since i saw encounters on my probes, so perhaps one of the recent patches changed this)

Regular probes no longer pick up anomalies unless you choose to scan for cosmic anomalies as well as cosmic encounters, but multispectral probes still pick them up as unknown signatures even if you don't select the cosmic anomaly category.

An useful option for detecting cosmic anomalies is to use the directional scanner (with the option "use overview setting" not selected) set on 360¦ and max range to scan the system. It detect (but not localize) the cosmic anomalies, so you will have a resonably precise idea if they are presents in the area you are scanning and you could clear them before starting the scan.

U are best of using Recon probes to track anomalies.
They work much faster and cover more range. This could be a bug as they do not under any circumstances find exploration sites.

You can also make a specific overview filter with them selected, which is handy. * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.
