And they're still gonna fight with IAC and -A-, its just SirMolle is gonna throw a hissy fit at Seleene first. Then they'll kiss and go back to sieging by making nodes unplayable.
And hopefully IAAAC will fight them at the RIGHT time next time, and stop them at the cyno jammers. Come the fk on, you have carrier support and they don't. If you can't stop them with cyno jammers then you might as well pack up and move to empire.

IAC/-A- is doing a great job TBH. They are taking the brunt of "the best" that EvE has to offer, and are holding their ground to this point, allowing RSF time to take out pets to the south.

Stop calling them the best or you're just admitting defeat before it actually happens. MC's greatest weapon is the unbelievable hype that surrounds them. They've failed their objectives before and they'll fail them again. This focus on k/d ratio is the most ******** thing ever to measure success by in an end game that is about sovereignty.
Fact is that everyone in this war that didn't get pushed out of the sov. game has gained money since it started. Perhaps except bob, they've lost some major assets. But as far as sub-super-capital ship losses for this entire war, both sides make more isk than they've lost.
So measuring success by K/D is stupid. What matters is holding space and taking space. MC is good at battles, whoop dee freaking doo. They've never had to worry about defending large amounts of space, and they still don't. And bob, without their I-WIN button, we've seen how good they are at taking or holding objectives.
So, whos "the best" again?

I think the main problem with mc is that they have grown so big that nobody really has the isk to hire them anymore, even bob are paying them in regions these days so i guess that just showes the price it would take to hire them

Saying that MC are neutral mercs or that Outbreak just cares about shooting people is like saying I'm a neutral observer in this war. Hiring MC is like giving hundreds of billions of isk to BoB and have BoB shoot you with your own isk.
We can take MC's space and possibly shatter their cap fleet, but I think killing them would be incredibly difficult. As for 0utbreak, I can't see how we'd have a hope of breaking them.

What I wonder, is when all the people that jumped ship from they're own alliances to join MC as mercs, because fighting in lagged blobbs, defending systems, beating head against a bubble-wall, where not they're cup'o'tea. When will they find out that the once proud mercenaries that got to fight under various conditions, but always with an end in sight... are now just another alliance fighting for they're space?
I don't believe the MC as we see it today, are what the pilots joined up for.

Edited by: Silent butViolent on 28/09/2007 12:00:31 Just think...MC could have been ASCN pets.
Way back when, MC put feelers out to several (maybe just 2) large alliances to see about forming a "special relationship". One of the stipulations was having their own part of space with no interaction from the original owners. Molle said yes, Cyvok said no.
I kind of think that was the closest MC ever came to becoming a true mercenary alliance. They really put themselves out there for the highest bidder so to speak. Once the deal was made though, no looking back, you don't bite the hand that feeds. And don't think BoB hands aren't feeding MC.
Sigh, now the great MC are MCJNAB "Mercenaries Just Not Against BoB" |

Hi,
Valid point here, since most of seems to be siding with the coalition side, if we all chipped in for "silly" money. Say 200 Bil off the top of my head.
For MC to fight Bob till their destruction.
Would they go for it?
Question i'd love to hear answered.

Personally I think it's very implausible that RSF is doing all that damage to BoB without a plan. They obviously have a plan, and right now it looks to be working. From what I've read from most Goons, the perception of MC is that of a BoB pet. They feel revealing their plans to MC is no better than eve-mailing it to SirMolle. Whether true or not is irrelevant since perception is all the matters here.
So if RSF did want to hire MC, under MC rules, I don't really see why they wouldn't accept if a price can be made. RSF definitely have a plan, the only matter would be price.

Seleene has stated that MC wants certain things if they are to go after BoB.
1) A lot of funding. Taking a contract up against BoB would cost them a lot of money. So in order for a contract to be profitable, they would have to charge more money than it costs them.
2) A plan. A GOOD plan. Seleene has stated they need a plan to go up against BoB. They won't just take a contract that tells them to "kill BoB". The need a contract with specific objectives.
3) A fleet. I'm not certain about this one, but I believe that Seleene said that MC wasn't willing to take on BoB solo.
In essence, MC will only take a contract up against BoB if they can be guaranteed to win. Because if they DON'T win...

Probably not. Besides, Seleene has said before they won't take a 'oh just wardec and fight bob' contract.
MC apparently build their own titan, which makes one ask what BoB actually paid them (could've been the comps/bps to build their own titans) or what the terms of the contract were.
Seleene posted what the most serious offer they got once was, and tbh, it was alot to most people, but given the amount of assets MC would risk, it was a joke of an amount.
I think if someone presented MC with an actual plan, and a 12-digit figure they'd do it, unless they're on contract at that time anyways.
