Edited by: Qaen on 03/10/2007 01:45:15 Here is my setup, and please be brutal on what you think I should change.
Hi: 125mm II (3) with Spike ammo Med: Catalyzed Cold Gas Arcjet Thruster, Penumbra White Noise ECM, Small Electrochemical Cap Booster Low: Small Armor Repper II, Magnetic Field Stabilizer II, Tracking Enhancer II Drones: Hob II (can hold 6 now, until AS is higher)
My questions: Due to fitting reqs, I cannot fit a NOS (and I want to stay at range past 30km). Is the cap booster better than a recharger? What should I change, for low sec (ratting and PvP)?
Thanks in advance. She's fast enough for you, old man! |

Well pvp i would suggest mayb a nano-ishkur.....Thats what i like to roll around in and for pvp your drones for maximum dps should be 2 mediums and 3 lights (i.e. 2x Hammerhead II's and 3x Hobgoblin II's) But hey eve is about doin what ya want so fit it how you think you should (yes i realize this answered neither of your qeustions...tbh i dont know) -=YYYAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!!=- Winning or Losing doesn't matter, as long as the fight itself was good. |

If you want pvp, you pretty much have to go the exact opposite way and go blasters.
But if you insist, then try:
Lows: 2x Overdrive II 1x DCU Say what? |

Edited by: Braeriach on 03/10/2007 11:46:39 This ship work well up close with 3 Small Neutron Blaster 2's and Void (or Null, whichever gives the highest DPS) and orbit @ 500m with an AB, webber and 2 point scram and your drones doing their thing. Very risky solo assuming your opponent has a webber but good in gangs. Has some success with this setup vs. BC's, but like I say, it's a gamble.
Rails work well giving about a 45 to 55 km range with reasonable skills, but unless you're PvPing in a gang, who's going to hold your target down? This works treat for PvE tho - most level 3 missions are more than possible if you have a little time to spare. Not sure about lowsec ratting tho since you'll likely lose a huge chunk of you DPS when you need to run while leaving your drones behind.

My very question is - you want to snipe with this? In that case and case of PVP - how are you going to ensure that enemy stays beyond 30km? In case he comes closer, spikes have terrible tracking penalty. Or do you switch to antimatter in case enemy gets close?

Are you planning to let your target leave out of good will No? Then fit a Warp Disruptor.
If you want to pvp with it, go for something like this: 3x125mm T2 MWD, 24K disruptor, Micro Cap booster SAR II, DCU II, ERNM II.
The DCU II is nearly mandatory.. it WILL save your ass.
You should kite your opponent at about 20km range, and then just shoot it till it's tank dies.
Fit blasters if you want to die.

Drop ECM. Add 24K warp disrupter.

Edited by: Acoco Osiris on 03/10/2007 22:12:41 Two real options here-the AB in-close blasters strategy or the MWD at 16km nano-setup. As for your current setup, what prevents your enemies from just deciding "**** it, I'm warping out".
EDIT: Oh, and ECM sucks on non-dedicated ships, and even on the ECM boats it's a bit iffy. If you feel you must have it on a general ship, use ECM drones ------------------------------ One more soldier off to war... And one Velator in my hangars. |

I only read the topic and from that I can tell you, your ship will be worthless in PvP. --- Razor CEI

I thought this was for PvE, because it's going to be pretty useless for anything PvP. MAYBE support, but it's fragile as hell, and doesn't have much of a DPS output. --------------------------------- But courage which goes against military expediency is stupidity, or, if it is insisted upon by a commander, irresponsibility. -Erwin Rommel |
