I am producing various ammunitions at the moment, and am in need of a decent source of zydrine. I can mine the other minerals in my own system, but I am not willing to venture to .2 security space to get zydrine. Does anyone know of any modules/weapons that when reprocessed yield a decent ammount of zydrine? The best prices I can find for zydrine are ~ 2,000 isk/unit, and this has been cutting into my profits more than I would like. I have tried things like missile launchers, nos, and a few other small weapons, but all the items I have reprocessed yield less zydrine than they are worth. Any suggestions?

I can make more money by producing ammunition with the minerals that I mine, as opposed to selling them. There is no cost involved in getting them, just time. I can and have bought zydrine for 2000 isk, but it is the lowest I am able to get it for. I was just asking if there is a cheaper alternative. I am making good profit now because it is the only mineral I have to purchase, however I am always looking to maximize profits. Say for example someone tells me that item X costs 10,000 isk, and produces 4 zydrine, now it will eventually be cheaper to get the item and reprocess it because I wont always be able to find zydrine for 2,000 isk. I could even from there begin to manufacture item X, and then reprocess it to get the zydrine, ultimately saving me even more money. I am asking is there such and item X?

I am already mining during that time, so I am just finding a way to make the most out of my ore.

I can produce 100 Wrath Cruise Missiles for 6k and a few minutes of mining, and then sell them for about 15000 isk (pulling the lowest average from my region), the actual current value is around 18000 isk, so I am making considerable profit from buying zydrine at 2000 each. My question to everyone was if there was any way to acquire zydrine for less than 2000 isk each, aside from mining. I guess there isnt any better way to get it, and I do not want to move my operations 20+ jumps to find belts with zydrine. I will just buy all the cheap zydrine I can find while it is cheap, and then mine the rest of the ore in my current system.

Yes, my manufacturing only has one start-up cost, the zydrine, the mining is not a cost of operation because there is no cost, and that mining is still getting me money regardless of whether I manufacture it or not. All I am doing is turning what I enjoy doing into something more profitable. At the moment, I can mine about 2.5 mil worth of tritanium in about an hour (still in a retriever) and so that ammount of time yeilds me ~ 600,000 units of tritanium. This gets me 300 runs making wrath cruise missiles, producing 30,000 missiles and an average sale of 5 mil isk. So now I have turned my hour worth of time into 5 mil - the 300 zydrine I bought (600,000 isk) giving me a total of 4.4 mil isk/hour. I have nearly doubled my income/hour. It currently takes me 3 zydrine to manufacture 100 missiles; once I have finished training for my hulk, I will get production efficiency to V lowering the zydrine requirement to 2. At that point my profits will increase even more. Thanks for all the help guys, I will put out some buy orders to see if I can get some better prices. My corp is getting close to being low-sec ready and so at that point we can mine in .4/.3 and hopefully find some jaspet near by.

Why should I buy something that is readily available virtually everywhere? My profts will be a lot lower by buying all the materials, my intent in manufacturing is to utitlize my mining skills to make more profit off of what I mine.

I guess you are right, the best ore in my general region is plagioclase so I may see what I can make an hour mining it, and then determine my profits.
