Insta jumps are annoying, because they make hunting someone quite impossible and it seems that most who uses instajumps are somekind of spies or just want to be pain in the butt.
So I suggest CCP will do following:
Make the stargate to require ship to align for jumps. Those ships which will come straight from warp closer than 7000m to the gate need to align some 1 minute for the jump, thus cannot jump before minute has passed.
Those ships that make the run to the gate further than 7000m should be able to jump right away when on jumping distance for they have already aligned for jump.
This will make possible that fast ships can slip through the blockades and slow ones cannot do that as easily.
Want to thank CCP for great game and good work. Please keep up the good work.
Regards

I doubt BMs will help 'spies' - you cannot use "instajumps" as you call them until you've first set the BMs, which is time consuming, and requires that you're already familiar with the system - besides, whats your problem with people scouting systems anyway?
If I scout a system out in a shuttle, set some BM's up, plan my route out so I don't blunder into your blockade with my valuable cargo on board, I have invested time and effort into earning myself safer passage - If you think that means I 'just want to be a pain in the butt', then damn right I do.
I think you're just a lazy pirate who wants sitting ducks to waddle around in front of him to pop missiles off at - well sorry buddy, you'll just have to wait for a lazy hauler who can't be bothered to dummy run his route before coming through with his valuables - I'm sure one will come along sooner or later.
People who can "instajump" out of your grubby little clutches have remembered the six P's - Proper Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance - and fair play to 'em!!
Easy now,
Kilo^_^

Nicely said Kilostream.
Zibun, you just must be a ****-poor pirate. I use instajump bookmarks and have been successfully ganked by pirates who know their trade. Not a pirate using an exploit or a 10 battleship blockade or deployable warp disruptors or some whacked-out fitting. Just a single Tempest playing well with a bit of luck on his part. On well-run camps with more than one ship it is pretty much death for me everytime. Instajumps are FAR from being uber-get-away-from-anything-I-am-untouchable things.

Why not add somekind of module that disrupts the energyfield on ships that try to use jumpgates?
Like the warpjammers, disruptor etc. But this time make it impossible for the ship to send jumpsignals.

Man, How easy do you want it? I know, what about a mod where any ship that comes close to your ship stops, drops all it's stuff and spontaneously explodes as it automatically transfers all the owners funds to your account!
Its all about balance and the thrill of the chase..(and the thrill of getting through). Someone has to get away once in a while. Otherwise no one except pvp will be in low sec space. That would ruin Eve..if it isnt already. Might as well go play Unreal Tournament.

Kudos to Kilostream and Billy Dee!!!
Whoever is CEO of Oracle may want to consider there hiring practices.
Any senario that guarantees success in this game is a bad one, Carebears don't like PK's, PK's Don't like Carebears but here is the rub, Both parties need each other for this game to work. There has to be balance. "You've Got to be Nuckin Futs!!" |

Impossible for who? Not once has an insta BM defeated my ability to kill another pilot. So speak for yourself on this one.

Considering Eve has highest ever numbers and insta-BMs have been in since day one, where do you get that it is ruining the game? Or do you mean YOUR game?
Again speak for yourself, as I have NEVER had an insta-BM affect my gameplay in a negative way. I like them and I like the fact that people in the universe who use them can increase their enjoyment through their use. If more people stay happy then I get to have more competitors.
If I had to choose between those who like them and those who don't I would choose those who do use them and support them because they don't blame basic game mechanics for their inability.
