You see, there are a lot of convoluted diplomatic "ties" that various drone entities and RK/Smash have (not necessarily with each other) that further complicate the entire matter. What angered many is that the MAD pact was meant to trump standings to outside entities when it came to a member being threatened. Thus the real bonds which made it strong were weakened as a result of the loss of the personal relationships...rather than a reflection on the current leadership of any of these powers. I would also add you cannot blame any alliance leader for looking out after the interests of their own membership first...even if that means breaking a pact such as Mad.

The problem with frege is that your size and sheer amount of corps have shown to be completly unstable/diverse. We have had alot of occasions where we have found Frege in our systems ratting against strict rules not to, to the point where you your diplo himself stated shooting them ourselves wouldnt lead to any ill will! Talk about unstable- what more unstable than an alliance that has so little control over its members and whose response was just "meh- shoot em than". Thats the kind of instability thats really worrying. Lastly- yeah alot of Katet go back to Stain Alliance days as does Smashkill, but I wouldnt say that was the be all and end all of the relation. As far as Smashkill goes, Ka-Tet has been friends with them since its inception this is not a new allegiance. ------------------
