I am still trying to find out if this is a joke or not. If it's real then it's still a joke - the joke being the school system in that country.

Oh I know it's there to brainwash people - my school screams how "multiculturism" is good and how "independant Scotland" is good and a load of other hypocrytical bull****. For instance the people complain about how they have to be so PC it could make people cry when the minority's realy couldn't care less. Then they say how Scotland should be independant and how unity is good.... I mean most of the time people around me go with whatever they say - "nuclear power is bad because it's radioactive and hurts the planet"...I just laugh at stuff like that - as long as it's contained till it can be thrown into the sun or something it isn't realy a problem. Sure making renewable power from solar pannels and windmills sounds good but how much energy does it take to build the bloody things and how long to pay back? In conclusion Nuclear is the way forwards -look for solutions not problems is my motto in this..... Fission till Fusion should be the energy policy of Europe. Well.... thats a long rant...

Can I just point out that in London there is over 8 million people and in Scotland around 5? The regions are too different in population quantities to discuss things like that. It may be on average better but under closer scrutiny other regions of the UK may benefit from it. Frankly put - why do people talk about England Scotland and Wales in this day and age, surley it's only sport that keeps them still in concious thought? Brittania 4tw!!!

To being, here is a picture simple enough for a brainwashed goer to that school to understand.
Elegant yet simple.
I agree with previous poster - numbers are a human creation, the understanding of quantifying and extrapolation is mans greatest accomplishment. Saying some hypothetical person more important gave it to you, or Newton degrades the value of these people's genius. A quote I can't remember who said or where, but it can be interpreted how you want. "God created the Dinosaurs - god destroyed the Dinosaurs" "God created man - man destroyed god and made his own future". I see this as the understanding and leaving of human ignorance to recognise it's own worth, not arrogance that we are gods, but that what has happened to humanity is caused by humanitu and not a god. Thankyou for reading, I will try to stop these monolouges in future.

My brain hurts - I am dropping out of the advanced mathematics discussion, still working on my Advanced Higher course here and much of this is going straight over my head
