Both new and experienced EVE players are welcome û we have no minimum skill point requirements. New players will be given advice and assistance in the game. We have an employment structure in place as well as divisions each with their own managers: ò Mining ò Production ò Trade ò Security ò Personnel ò Science We have vacancies for assistants for those interested in a particular career. Each level of membership within the corp i.e. Freelance, Divisional Worker, Manager or Director attracts a percentage discount when purchasing from the corporation. What are Black ThorneÆs aims and goals? Black Thorne is primarily a Production and Trading corporation. We aim to specialise in Mining, Production and the trading of Trade Goods and Player Produced goods. We already have an extensive library of blueprints and a healthy corp wallet while also boosting the income of its members.We have recently achieved along term production goal to build and sell Freighters with the future goal to produce Capital class ships. We have a competent security division to cope with protection for low security operations and for small/medium war declaration hassles this is another long term goal we are looking to strengthen. What we Offer? ò Weekly Mining Ops ò Mission Running ò Science and Exploration Division ò Huge Blueprint Library (Discounted - See Corp Structure on the Website) ò Friendly Corp Tournaments and security team pvp training ò TeamSpeak Server (Not obligatory) ò Career Progression ò Active Player Base 87 members New Pilots to EVE are allocated a mentor and are equipped with a frigate, hauler and mining equipment and the necessary skills to use them. Our corp atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed, and we impose no stipulations on your playing time whilst being a member. We do ask to attend as many ops as possible but we appreciate that real-life issues may sometimes interfere with your game time! How can you join Black Thorne? We are currently accepting applications from players in European time zones and we are very keen to expand our presence into the US time zones too (we have a couple of members who would like the company!) I'll confess that I never played much to begin with either, but the fascination of this game has always been there, so I'll be giving it another go. Since I'm looking for an all-round Corp, with a solid Industrial focus, Black Thorne seems to fit quite well, so I may be in touch with you in the near future - However, in all fairness, I want to re-familiarise myself with the game a bit more before joining a Corp, since I don't want something for nothing...I'll join when I can contribute, not just to leech on other people's hard work. I'm a 31-year-old on Central European Time, and a veteran of a larger number of MMORPGs that I'd like to think about. Common to my activities in all games have been the alure of Industry/Crafting, the willingness to help others, an interest in Exploration, and an urge to play as effectively and intelligently as possible. In these games, I have held most positions that you can think of, with the EXCEPTION of CEO/Guild-Leader. But I have typically played as an officer/Mentor/Raid-leader/Tradeskill-Master or similar. Sadly I fear you won't see many forums online that do it differently (as a ward against spam). It is possible to see quite a bit of info about our corp without creating a forum account regardless: Firstly here in this thread you are posting and secondly on the homepage of our website (to see that you donÆt have to create a forum account - you only need that for actually seeing the corp forum recruitment thread and for posting there). Regarding the attitude you are mentioning: I guess you just asking for more info about us would have gone better than your (in essence) telling us that you don't want to create a forum account. This is where Black Thorne came in! BTC has lived it up to what I was looking for and gone far beyond that! How many corps out there can reliably offer a strong leadership, solid goals with direction, helpful members, active in all TZ's, and cater to all aspects of Eve? Not only that but we offer mineral and salvage buy schemes with excellent payouts, bonuses for missions, corp payed pvp bounty's, multiple weekly pvp roams, weekly mission nights, corp mining ops.... seriously you name it and we probably have it or have plans for it and if we don't it only takes a suggestion to get the wheels in motion in this corp!!! I joined BTC in early November and I truly can not say enough about this corp. Having been away from EvE for almost a year I took my time searching for a corporation that I felt would be a good fit. I was tired of logging in and having to really work to find something fun to get into. Well BTC has gone above and beyond any expectations I might have had. Daily ops are never a problem. There is always something going on in any time zone and you never have a problem finding someone willing to lend a hand or looking for more pilots. Mining, Ratting, Missions, Wormholes, PVP.... You name it it's there. BTC is loaded with experienced players who are always willing to lend a hand or offer advice. Lets face it, EvE is very very complex, that's what makes it such an amazing game. The learning curve can be quite daunting to new players. Having the right corporation can ease that. BTC is that corporation. I have been able to learn more in the last few weeks than I have in years of playing. Being in the right corporation can really make or break this game for many people. I only wish I had found them earlier. Take a few minutes to do a little research about BTC, stop in and talk to us in BTC Public. You won't regret it!
