Thursday, we received an eve-mail telling us that we had a new yarrget¬, and that HC would be very pleased if us, bloodthirsty maniacs, could be so kind as to assemble a decent fleet in a timely fashion on Friday. As member of the support gang, I had the privilege to be lead in combat by Her Majesty the Mistress-Queen Herself*. When we jumped in L-C, hostile local count was around... 120 ? Well, anyway, approximately the same size of our fleet. We flew through YouWhat's main system without being bothered. Once in C4C, the battleships headed to the Cyno Jammer, while we stayed at the L-C gate, waiting for the YouWhat blob... that did not come.
Once the Cyno Jammer out, the cap fleet jumped in, and assaulted 4 POS in the system, ending up with the facilities at the station, as it is now the normal, yet boring, procedure in POS warfare.
The biggest YW ship I saw that night was a cloaking Blackbird.
As usual, I missed the first fleet fight with YouWhat on Saturday afternoon, around 14.30 Evetime. 120ish YW against 120ish Tri. Yeah... you know already what happened... With 21 capitals on our side, their chances of survival were paper-thin. They nonetheless managed to kill 15 of our ships, including 5 BS and 3 HAS, and podkilled 5 of our pilots.
The rest of the afternoon slowly drifted away while our gang started to reform for the night shift, only disturbed by the usual undocking-docking aggravating fellow. In L-C, numbers on the YouWhat side were raising, topping at 190ish around 20.00 Evetime. Since their gang was twice the size of ours, we really thought they would come. A small YW gang tried to escape from C4C, undocked from the station and rushed to the gate. We were a bit slow to launch bubbles, so most of them escaped, but we caught the stragglers. On the C4C gate, Jonelle's Tempest, the Rokh of Lukass Grey and DazWozUK and Minni DK's Drake lasted 20 seconds. We also caught a pair of battleships around GME-.
An hour later, things heated up a bit, with long periods of silence on TS indicating that our Overmind was in action, preparing yet another ebil plan. At 20.30 Evetime, support and BSs jumped in L-C, and warped to an anchoring POS. It was dropped there by a cloaking carrier that we began to search. Asran Zara would have escaped because we were looking in the wrong direction if he had not been unfortunately decloaked by one of his corpmates. His shield and armor evaporated in less that a minute, even tho we were not that many on him and BS were not really in position.
We then began to shoot the anchored POS. With 40ish BS and approximately the same amount of support, we were there for more than two hours. A mixed Morsus Mihi / Mostly Harmless gang had joined us in L-C, the MM guys staying away from the POS we were shooting for obvious reasons (we, trigger-happy people, could have accidentally slipped on the wrong key), while the MH guys helped us bringing down the tower.
It would have been boring if YouWhat hadn't made a last attempt to inflict us a bloody nose. At 21.43 Evetime, they warped to us. There was a bit of confusion on our side, with the support scattered around the POS, the MH guys hugging it, drones out all around and our Battleships regrouping in sniping position. The server started to lag, probably because of all the drones and fighters around; and the first minute or two were rather messy. At 21.45, Cyber Wolf's Apocalypse was the first of the YouWhat to fall in what I fear to be the last big fleet battle of this alliance in the region. 6 minutes later, it was over. Only significant loss on our side, according to the killboard, was Drebble's Ishtar and Ademius' Huggin. The three other victims were interceptors, even tho the killboard shows that they had 2 Nyx and 4 carriers on their side this time.

I suspect they shot Ademius first because they thought he was our fleet commander. But in fact, the person speaking on TS was nobody but Her Majesty the Mistress-Queen, asking us with her calm and finely modulated voice to "kindly walk back these gentlemen to the clone bay", because they were "making slightly too much noise" for her to concentrate on her rose cutting.
A new day has come, and I wish YouWhat better luck. You have the numbers and we are certainly not unbeatable : 25 of our pilots went down already in this campaign.
* some say She plays Eve lying on a velvet couch, surrounded by ennuques refreshing Her with peacock feathers while serving stuffed dates and Turkish delight. |

Tri have been very smart here. Starting their conquest on YW space the week after half of the YW corps leave, and the same week 1000 corps join. I don't think YW are likely to be able to meld their new players into any sense of cohesion before Tri conquer Fade. Chaos in the channels and not enough time to carve away the chaff. Won't be long I think until YW return to empire.
Anyone betting who Tri have as their next targets? Maybe to avoid them getting bored and collapsing they could split their empire in two, work together against any enemy that enters their joint space, but have each other Red when they have no external threats.

TBH the real victim of this agression are the former falen soul members. They were just able to evade TRI for a week or so by merging with YW. Now Tri attack YW. I think they are going like : NOT THESE GUYS AGAIN :D
