As sure as Trirumvirate has some exceptional class, it is always not a good idea to underestimate the enemy. YouWhat might show more resistance than expected. Especially since they should know by now how good Tri is.

target hatchery is not a bad idea, we came shooting poses hoping they'll come to defend them, i guess we overdid it a bit since all the system poses are in reinforced, the station has no services and they still didn't manage to get a confy force to come and spank us, but we're patient.

We can't help it. First it was "So i got a covops cloak stuck in Ya0". Then it was "VI are surrendering but Aftermath are putting POS in VFK" so we had to take JU- aswell because that was rude. Then Preas needed stations and ESA had a couple so we looked at them funny. So Sparta has a panic attack and folds and Fallen Souls take their station. Then it was like "So UEJ was fun last time wasn't it?" and Fallen Souls surrender. Then it was all "Fallen Souls are in Youwhat, whats up with that?" and then we were bored and someone said "C4C is like... 9 jumps away..."

The attack started in earnest yesterday evening around 21.00 eve time with a TRI bs gang taking out said cynojammer and then jumping in caps (somewhere around 60 in total).
The POSes in system was then reinforced and services were taken ou, before the dreadnaughts returned to vfk.
Todays fight was a jumpin of a mixed YW gang through an unbubled gate but with TRI forces deployed.

We're not quite so arrogant as to start handing out stations when there's only really been one fight so far. Having said that we have already thought up a name for the C4C station (whether or not we ever get to use it remains to be seen)

I'm not sure I can really be arsed to do a battle report, my day was:
Wake up, sit down, sit on gate, wait for them to jump in, wait some more, wait some more, oh look they jumped in (silly people), tell a target caller to call and warped our snipers around a bit when support got close, tell people to loot.
We won, everything was in our favour, caps wise, position wise + organisation wise. It's hardly anything to party about. See you next time wildcard (btw odd abaddon fit )

This statement seems to come up a lot, normally quoted by the side with the better pvp team.
Bit like comparing a traditional National Conscripted army (with a smaller professional element) to a smaller but 100% volunteer professional army. Yes the one side has more pilots, but the attacker (in this case Tri) is coming with pilots who are generally more pvp oriented and have been working as a pvp team in action for quite a while.

Actually, the mostly harmless are in L-C but yea, they are blue and they are shooting the same tower as us. The MM gang is not blue and TRI oughto avoid them atm ;)

I haven't seen 1 MH in C4C and I've been there (please don't tell my wife) at least 4-8 hours each day so far. Doesn't mean they're not there but oh well. I have no clue what MM are doing and don't really care except if you look at our (defunct?) killboard we've killed some of them that happened to jump in to C4C yesterday.

We were getting ready to shoot the MM gang if they jumped into L-C, but they never did. Would prefer if they shot someone else so we can get more fights, but I'm sure they do what they want.
Mostly Harmless have been blue for over a month apparently. *shrug* Didn't notice. Their 20-30(?) man gang is tipping the balance.

The MH gang was exactly 23 ppl. As shocking as it may sound (to everybody who knows me) i was in fact one of them with an alt .. :P
We never entered C4C, only stayed some time in L-C for a little pew pew. Before entering L-C we met the MM gang which looked more like 30 than 50, and who never entered L-C as far i ve seen.

Thursday, we received an eve-mail telling us that we had a new yarrgetŹ, and that HC would be very pleased if us, bloodthirsty maniacs, could be so kind as to assemble a decent fleet in a timely fashion on Friday. As member of the support gang, I had the privilege to be lead in combat by Her Majesty the Mistress-Queen Herself*. When we jumped in L-C, hostile local count was around... 120 ? Well, anyway, approximately the same size of our fleet. We flew through YouWhat's main system without being bothered. Once in C4C, the battleships headed to the Cyno Jammer, while we stayed at the L-C gate, waiting for the YouWhat blob... that did not come.
Once the Cyno Jammer out, the cap fleet jumped in, and assaulted 4 POS in the system, ending up with the facilities at the station, as it is now the normal, yet boring, procedure in POS warfare.
The biggest YW ship I saw that night was a cloaking Blackbird.
As usual, I missed the first fleet fight with YouWhat on Saturday afternoon, around 14.30 Evetime. 120ish YW against 120ish Tri. Yeah... you know already what happened... With 21 capitals on our side, their chances of survival were paper-thin. They nonetheless managed to kill 15 of our ships, including 5 BS and 3 HAS, and podkilled 5 of our pilots.
The rest of the afternoon slowly drifted away while our gang started to reform for the night shift, only disturbed by the usual undocking-docking aggravating fellow. In L-C, numbers on the YouWhat side were raising, topping at 190ish around 20.00 Evetime. Since their gang was twice the size of ours, we really thought they would come. A small YW gang tried to escape from C4C, undocked from the station and rushed to the gate. We were a bit slow to launch bubbles, so most of them escaped, but we caught the stragglers. On the C4C gate, Jonelle's Tempest, the Rokh of Lukass Grey and DazWozUK and Minni DK's Drake lasted 20 seconds. We also caught a pair of battleships around GME-.
An hour later, things heated up a bit, with long periods of silence on TS indicating that our Overmind was in action, preparing yet another ebil plan. At 20.30 Evetime, support and BSs jumped in L-C, and warped to an anchoring POS. It was dropped there by a cloaking carrier that we began to search. Asran Zara would have escaped because we were looking in the wrong direction if he had not been unfortunately decloaked by one of his corpmates. His shield and armor evaporated in less that a minute, even tho we were not that many on him and BS were not really in position.
We then began to shoot the anchored POS. With 40ish BS and approximately the same amount of support, we were there for more than two hours. A mixed Morsus Mihi / Mostly Harmless gang had joined us in L-C, the MM guys staying away from the POS we were shooting for obvious reasons (we, trigger-happy people, could have accidentally slipped on the wrong key), while the MH guys helped us bringing down the tower.
It would have been boring if YouWhat hadn't made a last attempt to inflict us a bloody nose. At 21.43 Evetime, they warped to us. There was a bit of confusion on our side, with the support scattered around the POS, the MH guys hugging it, drones out all around and our Battleships regrouping in sniping position. The server started to lag, probably because of all the drones and fighters around; and the first minute or two were rather messy. At 21.45, Cyber Wolf's Apocalypse was the first of the YouWhat to fall in what I fear to be the last big fleet battle of this alliance in the region. 6 minutes later, it was over. Only significant loss on our side, according to the killboard, was Drebble's Ishtar and Ademius' Huggin. The three other victims were interceptors, even tho the killboard shows that they had 2 Nyx and 4 carriers on their side this time.

I suspect they shot Ademius first because they thought he was our fleet commander. But in fact, the person speaking on TS was nobody but Her Majesty the Mistress-Queen, asking us with her calm and finely modulated voice to "kindly walk back these gentlemen to the clone bay", because they were "making slightly too much noise" for her to concentrate on her rose cutting.
A new day has come, and I wish YouWhat better luck. You have the numbers and we are certainly not unbeatable : 25 of our pilots went down already in this campaign.
* some say She plays Eve lying on a velvet couch, surrounded by ennuques refreshing Her with peacock feathers while serving stuffed dates and Turkish delight. |

Actually, half our fleet ran out of ammo at that newly anchored tower in L-C 
In the end it was taken out by lasers and drones
Ammo should be available again i hear...

Tri have been very smart here. Starting their conquest on YW space the week after half of the YW corps leave, and the same week 1000 corps join. I don't think YW are likely to be able to meld their new players into any sense of cohesion before Tri conquer Fade. Chaos in the channels and not enough time to carve away the chaff. Won't be long I think until YW return to empire.
Anyone betting who Tri have as their next targets? Maybe to avoid them getting bored and collapsing they could split their empire in two, work together against any enemy that enters their joint space, but have each other Red when they have no external threats.

TBH the real victim of this agression are the former falen soul members. They were just able to evade TRI for a week or so by merging with YW. Now Tri attack YW. I think they are going like : NOT THESE GUYS AGAIN :D

They killed minimal support while we was downing a cyno tower and also managed to nab and a single dread due to siege modules reactivating although it was flashing red.

Today we took control over I-UU station even though there is no sovereignty, also all towers in the system were put into reinforced. We then decided to move onto L-C where YouWhat have been basing from.
Their POS was set up very well, although i think ccp need to revise how people are allowed to set up their POS's. The POS had ALOT of modules anchored around it and everytime we disabled 1 they would online more. After 4-5 hours we managed to hit the Cyno jammer down after quite alot of kills/losses (large artillery really hurt when theyre focusing fire) to both sides. When the cyno jammer went down we jumped in the capital fleet.
Our capitals warped to the POS, and we simply underestimated the Heavy energy neutrilizer modules on the POS and as he was in siege our caps werent able to remote rep. Our BS fleet disabled the guns and neutrilizers but not in time. Straight after our dread went down we put the POS into reinforced.
We will not make that mistake again. Overall this campaign is still very positive for us, the Moros loss has been covered and we shall march on!

Tri once you have secured C4C, it might be worth letting YW keep a precarious hold on the L-C system. That way you just have 1 jump for pew pew.
Maybe make it clear to YW management that if they don't put up a defensive battle every night, you'll take the system.

Firstly let me congratulate YW for a well set-up POS and to the -YW- FC and POS gunners for sticking to their guns (excuse the pun), that said we expected to lose more, and we're happy with how the operation went, it wasnt smooth at first but with some on-the-fly thinking we managed to ***** the POS open.

Youwhat appear to have written Fade off. At least thats what it looks like. I-UU is already ours, just waiting for sov to kick in. All towers in C4C in reinforce, system camped 24/7, station services still destroyed, no attempt to defend the system. All towers in L-C in reinforce, station service being destroyed as i type, only defence seems to be the POS themselves (and those controling and onlining mods, admitidly). Only once has fleet of equal size stood up to us, the rest either dont commit or disband and go roaming.
I hope it picks up.

Im not entirely impressed with our Fade defence. Tri you have some dedicated members to keep C4c/LC camped for so long... and those facking bubbles all over the place are realy annoying
Anyway here's to seeing some action in the following days and maybe a Tri member or two biting the space dust... if not I promise to open all the airlocks and space my entire crew!

3rd day of our little trip up north. The first of the YW POS in C4C has be turned in a pile of scrap metal early on Sunday morning, thanks to unknown pilots to me that were up a that time. Nothing more really much happened that morning, apart from Darkness promising us more action just after DT.
Well... after DT, nothing really happened, apart from some kind of activity on the capital channel, so camping went on. Until we heard words of a conquered station in I-UU. Of course, us lemmings knew nothing about that *sigh*.
The fleet jumped in L-C at the beginning of the afternoon and prepared to take out the Cyno Jammer at the 7-7 POS. Remembering how easy it was on C4C, I really thought it would be out in a matter of minutes. I was wrong.
For something like 3 hours, YW succeeded at keeping the Cyno Jammer alive, inflicting us some serious damage (+/-25 BS down, afaik). The POS was faction-fitted, and the guns manned. Some 85 YW pilots were there, looking for any opportunity to rush to our BS gang. And they did so at least 5 times, using Covops pilots as warp-in points for light support remaining in the safety of the force field until they were in position. Meanwhile, ships and drones were repairing the Cyno Jammer.
It was some kind of a sight : BS warping in, realigning, starting shooting, and then a handful of Interceptors and Frigates rushing out of the force field towards the BS, some instantly popped on their way, but most of them eventually reaching the BS, tackling them just seconds before dictor bubbles went up, leaving 1 or 2 BS dieing each time. The YW pilots looted the wrecks and promptly returned to the force field before our BS went back to the POS. I witnessed the heroic charge of this Stabber Fleet Issue pilot who zoomed out alone of the POS towards our BS, reaching the formation but then breaking starboard, probably too heavily damaged to maintain his attack, chased by a swarm of missiles, the silhouette of his ship flashing with impacts. Props to you (can't get your name, KB is jammed).
We were looking for a weakness, a way to counter this strategy that had prevented us so far from taking out the jammer. Her Majesty the Mistress-Queen decided to go for an all-out attack after gang reorganization, BS concentrating on the modules, and support taking out anything that dared come out of the force field. It was quite a sight : BS warping in and out around the POS, support all around, drones everywhere, and wrecks of yellow and white, piling up on various areas above and below the force field. Sometimes, the characteristic blinding blue flash marked the grave of yet another pilot, caught by a ship or the guns of the POS.
For more than one hour, we kept assaulting the starbase, popping some modules and then finally disabling the Cyno Jammer. Our capital fleet jumped in a few seconds after that, and carriers assembled. It was again quite a sight, with gazillions of fighters crawling their way to the modules in slow motion, like some kind of tentacle. The Control Tower started to take damage, and only a few YW pilots dared to get out. At that time, there were +/- 260 pilots in local.
The POS was in reinforced mode in no time : I was rather surprised to see it fall in less that 15 minutes or so.
Now that was kind of a fight: long, tensed, in the balance till we got it right, not that laggy except when warping in at the POS... Well done, YouWhat, and props to the pilots that showed up. |

Yep that control tower was awesome, I hope he wants to join tri.
But it does prove that yet again, after all the forum abuse, a CCP change has made taking station systems not just about capital blobs, you have to think now, you have to be able to take a BS fleet, expect loses to take a station system.
kudos CCP, kudos Control Tower, kudos Tri for getting there in the end.

TBH our fleet comms cant pull together enough people to fight and every time we near 100 everyone gets bored and logs off. You apparently have too many ships and we have too many frigates... come drop some smartbombs on us please so we can have a good ole BS deathball 2 deathball fight without our fleetcoms needing to worry about your capitals coming to WTFPWN us =-).

I must say I'm a bit surprised at the lack of action here. Camped the L-C station for hours last night, never saw a ship. Funny how dead our killboards are during this war as opposed to when TRI is just being TRI. Hey, at least we have poker!!!
When "Minmatar Control Tower" has the most kills in your campaign, you should really look into your alliance's participation....or maybe....If boring us into submission is your plan, you are making huge strides . if you would have brought more then a "lets run away from every proper fight" attitude (sp?), you could maybe say things like above.
but as far as i remember, you always run away, even if you have outnumbered us back then.

Nothing of all u said. True, we are no big Ally, but we knew from the beginning where we belong to. We never changed sides, we fought our fights as good as we could do and we have our principles in this game. I am proud for every member I have in my Ally - and for their attitude!
Because of movement: One front staying together is imo much more effective than 10 spread out all over the universe. We all fought and are still fighting for the same thing, and the Coalition showed us not to give up.
And no - I dont want anything of the cake! We are happy where we are.

-YouWhat have been brought to their knees it seems, it will be interesting to see if they bother to defend the last of their space. Stepping outside of their pos shields and putting together a force worthy of a 2000member alliance would be great to see and so we can all have some fun soon!

Fun fact, tri had more caps in gang then yw had in local .
Hopefully there will be a fight in like 4ish days when these all come out (godamn thats a lot of stront ).

Wildcard has done well to keep his guys in this war this long, SamTheDog has done a reasonable job with setting up these POS's but at the end of the day they're only delaying the inevitable. This time we planned an OP (not just a spur-of-the-moment thing) and managed to field 160 battleships (which was more than YW had pilots online), 50 support and then later in the evening 80 capitals.
Needless to say, the cyno jammer didnt last very long this time around and we're currently pulling towers to bits.
