By chance i came across an apoc flown by a m0o member who will be unamed for embarrassment reasons. I was in y-1w01 patrolling fountain for undesirables when he flew in to our system. I got 1 shot off and he warped to other gate my 2 frigates that were with me chased him and webified and jammed him he than logged and logged in his alt as his ship dissappeared.
Why do pple do this and why has m0o used these tactics i thought they never logg i thought they never hide ??

Well he maybe just felt he wanted to play CS for a while and logged of.

Yes you should, loging off is an exploit. Even GM's say it is. When you petition it they will say that this is not allowed but we cant prove it.

chalk it up to crappy game mechanics.
you had about 2 minutes to kill the guy, if you couldnt manage that well, tough luck i guess
i'm not saying it's not a lame thing to do, but it's not like he's the only one to do it, lots of people have done it against us as well, a Xanadu chap comes to mind, I won't name him, but all I can say is, logging out while at jumpgate while cloaked somehow makes you invulnerable, now there's some lame crap... ------

Here we go again as usual, everytime we **** over an alliance who have numbers god knows how many times bigger then the 15 ships we sent to you's last night IDIOTS start this crap, m0o are exploiters, m0o are cheaters, m0o are gm/dev alts.
Look mate, unless you and any other whiney little sore looser have proof to show we are exploiting STFU, it gets tiring.

I'd be surrpised if it's an exploit, for the same reason log-on ganking isn't.
Maybe he didn't have 2 minutes, Jim. Logging onto an alt was meant to be fixed a couple patches ago but it looks like it still works.

This shows m0o to be craven and pathetic. The person involved should be reported to CCP and banned for using this exploit.
Its pathetic. I would have expected more from m0o.

No he had not. when your friend (EDITH BEFORE POLARIS: xxx xx xx xxx) from the same account the ship disapear that moment.
We have seen it several times from so called pirates. (not saying only pirates do it.) At one time someone from c0w was caught in a tanked scorp by us. That one not only loged of once and in with an alt. but the total of 3 times over 30 min. Each time he loged back beleving we was not there to wait for him, he reloged with an alt. His ship disapeard with in 15-20 sec each time.

I don't mine at all. You still probably have more isk than me, and I'd NEVER log off to save my ship. Not even if it was an uninsured L2 battleship and I had 2M ISK in my wallet.
It's simply too lame.

I don't have exactly details nor do I know who it was that did this, nor do I really care because I've seen many people pull this 'trick' many times now. It's about as lame as 'login traps' in my opinion, but again, just faulty game mechanics.
No one likes to get the gank treatment, guess I can't blame them. if the game mechanics allow people to do this, they will, simple as that. ------

Totaly agreed with you. Its lame tactics and as much lame as using the "log in trap" tactics.
Iv never seen a m0o do smack in local. And i hope m0o are to good to be using either of this tactics.

It is fixed. I checked it last night with 2 accounts. Ships of 2 accounts side by side outside a station, logged out one and logged in with an alt that was in that same station. I undocked and saw 3 ships, my main, my other account and myself.
So STFU!

TBH I really couldn't give a rats ass if someone from m0o did log off to avoid death. BIG deal who cares really...
The amount of people that do this to me on a regular basis is infuriating, this is just a lame game mechanic same as insta jumps, login traps and anything else and tbh if you in a bship and two frigs couldnt take him down in 2mins, then its you who are pathetic and not him.
Why should we be held to different standards than other corps anyway? We come to fountain deck like 10 bships for no losses yesterday and fight whilst hugely outnumbered, yet still we get 'waaaaah waaah m0o cheat' and 'waaaah waaaah m0o lame' just for the record ive had 2 xan members log out on me whilst fighting fountain, I won't name names but tbh if your own hypocritical alliance practices these tactics DO NOT WHINE WHEN THEY ARE USED AGAINST U...
That is all...

Edited by: Slam on 20/02/2004 12:57:26 Using semi exploit to have your ship disappear in LESS than 2 minutes: understandable and kinda makes sense. CCP need to fix that particular loophole.
Gloating and bragging in local after having used the above method to avoid death (and I know first hand that Pu$$ycat and Shi$uko did this): ..I seriously see no reason why anybody would want people like that in their corporation. It's an outofgame character trait and will always end up blowing up in your face.

Well as long as i can remember i have been seing my alt when i have logged in an alt at the same place...
So logging in an alt doesnt logg out your other char
Also when someone log cloaked at jumpin gate it seems the timer stays at 1min and they are cloaked for one min so even if you fire when they get uncloaked you dont get the 2 min to shoot them down and they dissapear from space in 10 - 15 sec

This is really getting quite ridiculous. Who the hell cares if someone logs out while fighting, we have had to done to us more times than any of us can even count. Did you happen to think that maybe the person was possible leaving and wasnt even equipped to fight? Stop posting this stupid gibberish, i would have expected better from fountain, but i guess they are letting in more and more nubs by the day. Truly pitiful.

We saw 100-200 players log off when we were attacking them. We never petitioned it. Offline traps or log off when fired at is simply lame. The more players use these strategy the more it will get normal and makes this game lame. Now a M00 did it - every day hunderets of carebears and pirate-victims do it!!!
Delay time to log in with an alt should be at 3 minutes. That would solve the problem. Log in should be impossible if there is a combat situation within 1000 km. This would solve the lame offline trap problem.

So species what you are basically saying is...
Because we are in m0o, we should just sit there and die...
Whereas any other corp in the game is perfectly entitled to log off and avoid death...
OMG I SEE YOUR POINT, YES I DO REALLY....
