Edited by: Sundri Elaption on 20/02/2004 13:46:07 For once i agree with Stravos :S
With other Corperations doing the same tbh every corperation that is in PVP and has some expirience use this tatic u can say it is an exploit but the onces who are partly 2 blame for this specific exploit is CCP the game mechanic allow that an ship will not be lost.. sadly enough. The problem is proving that he just logged of but not CTD'ed or lost his inet connection for what for reason so ever..
MayB they should consider when warpscrambled or statisweblified the ship disappears after 3 minutes.
It couses a lot of irritation, but the only one who can do something really about it is CCP ... they have the magic stick in there hands.

I'm more amazed that someone was actually PATROLLING fountain. FA usually: * AFK mine NPCless belts * Run and dock/run to safepoint (and if they're in HHI smacktalk local like cretins) * Log off 'til they can muster 50+ ships * Log on * Log off.
All the time we get bored waiting for them to show themselves and fight with something resembling equal numbers.
Actually I'm not surprised you were patrolling seeing as you posted at 9.30 this morning when all self respecting players are at work and there's little risk you'll bump into significant numbers of us.
Oh well, c'est la vie, etc.

So in the middle of a 3-minute battle you REAAAAALLY need to go play other games...
Most people don't even go to the bathroom in the middle of 1vs1 fights.

I was in a me V 3 fight against CFSN BSs once, not only did I go tom the toilet mid fight, I went down the pub then went to see Lord of the Rings came back to find they had me down to 20% shield. I promptly logged off and went to bed.

Quote: By chance i came across an apoc flown by a m0o member who will be unamed for embarrassment reasons. I was in y-1w01 patrolling fountain for undesirables when he flew in to our system. I got 1 shot off and he warped to other gate my 2 frigates that were with me chased him and webified and jammed him he than logged and logged in his alt as his ship dissappeared.
Why do pple do this and why has m0o used these tactics i thought they never logg i thought they never hide ??
This shows m0o to be craven and pathetic. The person involved should be reported to CCP and banned for using this exploit.
banned? its part of a game,i dont see the point banning a person if he logged. you dont have proof, maybe he had to go to supermaket, or go to girlfriend urgently and he logged.

To summarize this (and every other thread like it I have read in the last three weeks):
1. If it is possible to do, it is ok to do because someone else is doing it, too.
2. If you die, it is always your own fault for having existed in the first place.
3. It is just a game, get over it.
4. Never mention honor or integrity on the forums, it only starts a flamefest, because after all, see number 1, 2 and 3.
There is no shame in ignorance. But refusing enlightenment when it is freely offered? Well, that is just stupid |

Hey Species!
I killed a Megathron yesterday and he did the same but didnt survive.. so before calling us dirty sleazy cheathers try talking alittle to your dear friends in FA before posting something like this.
i mean no disrespect to you, but some facts has to be pointed out in this matter and the fact is FA does the same so dont post stuff like this for the sake of flaming m0o when your "Friends" does exactly the same..

Ah yes Mr. lets wait until we have 50 pilots online because m0o has 7 in local, lest whine a bit because you lost 10 battleships in less than a day even though you outnumbered us the whole time.
Your alliance had 11 at a gate when 7 of us came and we owned them without loosing a single ship, then you all decided to log off until you had over 50 pilots in local in YZ-LQL, then you were ready to fight again, so dont talk about how lame others are because the alliance you belong to are the king of lamers.
We came in when we wanted, kill enough to make us happy and then we left when we wanted, but be prepared because we might come back real soon to teach to some manners, like for instance it is good manners when totally owned just to stfu. Spawn of the Devil

And that's an excuse to exploit? Face it. It's an illegal tactic only pansies use.

its a personal choice tbh, its still possible to kill a person after he logs off - its not like its more of an exploit then sitting at safe spots and stuff... If people started a thread over loggin-when-balls jammed, we would need a seperate forum section.

LOL @ m0o talking about numbers.
We lost a Scorpion last night.
He was 1 vs 7, you got him at jump-in at gate.
<enter m0o mode> You are so lame! Attacking one battleship with 7</exit m0o mode>
Come on guys... don't bring up numbers when you also play the number game heavily. I'm not sure what they serve at m0o corp chat but it seems as m0o are getting really hotheaded on the forums lately.

Do you think they specifically grouped 7 battleships to destroy your 1 scorpion?
Gathering 50 battleships to kill 12 m0o guys is different than some unlucky SOB in a Scorpion who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. ------

Yeah I see that as a valid point. These fleet battles are also pretty pointless, 100km range at most kills a battleship or two out of thirty forty.
However it would have to be a pretty tight bunch if I would go with a an equal number force against m0o. Why? Because you guys have spot on communication. Yes you are damn good at what you do and that's why people are amassing fleets against you to find safety in numbers.
If you want more fights you should travel in smaller groups. I'm not kidding.
That way maybe 4-6 pilots would actually engage the 3 m0o. Well provided that another 12 m0o aren't at the other side of the same gate

Dear m0o, many of you are ok and some of you are just complete not ok but why even bother to hear stupid carebears telling people that since you diden't want to fight 50 vs 6, they must be cool. Just tell them to go and <something> themselves.

Ah yes, when we had 7 pilots jumping from 75 in to YZ and we knew FA had 11 ships on the other side were we playing numbers game ?
Get real man, we jumped in outnumbered and at disadvantage and we killed 4 battleships and lost not a single one, you know what happaned after that, almost everyone logged off until later that day and the next thing we knew is that FA had 52 in local in YZ-LQL, then at last they felt brave again, so dont give us this nonsense about we only play the number game.
When you say "we lost a scorpion last night" that was Ellisen going to fountain when we were leaving, he was the last of 10 battleship kills that we got during our few hour stay in fountain.
So get your facts right for once and stop posting bull****, we came, we killed, FA logged off until they had more than 5 times our numbers and yet we kept on killin FA.
So tll us again how we played numbers when attacking fountain, tell us please. Spawn of the Devil

ATTENTION CCP PROGRAMMERS write the code so that pilots cannot log off unless their in a station. now u might ask urself what if there's no station close enough if i have to log off quickly to avoid attack or for real life reasons? the answer...put a futuristic lookin tower in each system, which wouldn't be hard to code, that would allow players to log off when their on the same grid as it. this "log-off point" would show up on the drop down menu for the system just as if it were a belt/planet/station/sgate. c'mon people how good of an idea is that?
