This is a bump. Also you guys could not be more anti-goon could you? I guess you could try but it would probably fail.
Seriously, CORM blew up their own Cap Ship Array, its not "weekly world news" its fact. The post was directly from their forums!

When ever RSF or Goons in general are discussed it is always with the "LOL TECH1 Frigates" argument. You barely discuss the fact that RA/AAA/IAC knocked out your Titan within months of its unveiling. Mostly just a "well at least we use it"
There is no talk of the war in the south, you fail to mention that BoB has all but abandoned their pets to our incoming masses. k-9 is lost, CORM are on the run, RISE hasn't been able to use their stations in the RIT triangle for weeks and your own Alliance leader is fed up with BoB and their whole "chasing two rabbits" Look I get it your in MC, I just think there needs to be some more balance, if you want to be so neutral report from the other side too.
I like the podcast, I wouldn't be posting here and giving you this bump or downloaded the last 15 episodes if I didn't. I just wish people would get off the idea that goons are nothing but noobs in tech1 frigates or that we have to run behind RA's skirts every time a battle doesn't go our way. We run behind their skirts because there is generally vodka back there  .

I don't think that was a whine, I'm just pointing out the inaccuracies and bias that I see. All I'm asking for is a balanced show with reports from both sides.

Personally I didn't take it as a whine, and I don't think anyone else should either.
We talked about the south (well south-ish) to some extent, there's just not much in the way of new news happening. Nothing omgwtf!-like, anyway. Yes I'm in MC, and as such I get news from a particular perspective. But I also keep as much of an ear to the ground as I can on other affairs. Want your stuff covered? Tell the world about it more, since I'm not going to put alts in every major alliance to siphon news.
For the record, this last postcast, I'm pretty sure I was the one who pointed out the fact that tech1 frigates aren't the order of the day anymore. Still on the menu maybe, just not on the specials board.
Anyway, we can only cover what we hear about, and won't cover stuff we can't (to a reasonable extent) confirm as accurate.
Well that's my stance anyway. English people are weird though, so I make no excuses for Urban.
No new news? How about the fact that CORM have been completely removed from their stations? I don't think I heard any mention of that?
I understand you can only really report on what you know about and since MC isn't really a factor ATM in the "deep south" (hehe) you don't have a full picture of what is going on. You could have mentioned the fact that MC lost its hold in the north though, I didn't hear anything about that.
Maybe you should look for some other sources of news besides just COAD, have you guys tried asking around for quotes, non-opsec information and such? I'm pretty sure if you would have asked CORM they could have confirmed that they blew up their own Cap Ship Array thinking the ships would then just come spilling out like some kind of spaceship pinata

CAOD's not the perfect place for news (I wonder who we have to thank for that, hmm? :D) but it's a decent barometer for what areas are worthy of attention. We're also more than willing to add details provided by players about things we've mentioned that may not have been fully fleshed out, as I've stated we can't be everywhere at all times. Well I know I can't, but Urban sometimes can after he eats two bites of a special Magic Haggis he makes (the secret is lots of herbs and fungii).
I guess what I'm saying is, we're not inflexible. :P
You did talk about CORM blowing up their Cap Ships but you did it in a way to say "oh we don't really believe this" and Urban made some comment about the Weekly World News and such. All I'm saying is that I bet people would be willing to give you their story but you have to ask. Just but a little bit more :effort:
Anyway keep it up, I do enjoy the podcast (despite your bias  ) but I think you guys can do better.
