Simple concept i'll through out here since i'm bored. Make a shuttle for each race that'll hold more than just 10m^3 so that a player can move important modules around to another ship that he wants to equip or to the market he wants to sell at, all in a quick trip.
Advanced shuttles would be more expensive of course and might include the following:
50m^3 cargo hold
10 to 15% less velocity from the standard 550ms
More armor, shield, structure (not that it really matters since you'll likely be mince meat if anything targets you)
Plus's- more variety in ships and ship making. Less time consuming trips for small transactions

Use a fast frigate or interceptor.
Hell, even with a Sigil I could hit 800m/s, and that was with 1500m^3 cargo space.

I think this could be a good idea if they are Tech2 and built on the noob frig hulls.

Its an expendable craft just like the regular shuttle, something thats not gonna break a noobie's bank. The fast frigate or interceptor is just not needed for the type of low capacity moving we're talking about here. It will still just be a basic transport not viable for anything other than trasporting say few mods you need located in another region

Buy an atron...
Before you say anything, compare the price of the atron and the shuttle. Baseprice is 29500 isks, you can often get some on the market for less.
Atron has
-125 m3 cargohold vs 10 m3 of shuttle
-380 m/s vs 500 m/s of shuttle
-2 lowslots for warpcore, nanos, overdrives...
-more armor, more structure, a little bit more shields
-slightly bigger signature
Well, that's what I call a good shuttle.
Oh, and just as the shuttle, every race has an equivalent frigate.
For the skills,
Spaceship command 1 (who does not have this)
Racial frigate 2 (what? 2 hours?)
I think we already have great shuttles.

Sure I use an ares for fast autopilot moving (something close to 900m/s as base speed with overdrives), but that's much more expensive and skill intensive than having the racial frigate at level 2!

For sure. But having racial frigate 5 is a geat fun I found in EVE!
Training Amarr frigates V and Minmatar coming shortly after that!
Imagine Reaper with Frig.V bonuses!

Maybe have 2 types of T2 shuttle -
Bigger slower and smaller faster

I would pay for a shuttle that had no cargo bay, but twice the speed. I really, really would.

T2 - All interceptors

I would sign this but I already fly a super shuttle it is called the Slasher lol. Its got more than 50 M3, goes FASTER than a shuttle, has slots for better armor, and can actually fight if need be.
