Greetings i am a new EVE-online player for the last 2 months i was playing world of warcraft for 2/half years and i immediately stoped when i was introduced to this game by a friend and his wife now we play all together in a greek corporation very helpful and we currently enjoying the game . But unfortunately there is a thing we miss , this is the skill points. A new player's skill points in a game with a 4 years career having players with 40-90 milion skill points is almost nothing. A new player need about a year of play to even compete with medium players in the server example we are having 1,8 million skill points and our corp members over 20-50 mil each. This is rather frustrating and we suggest a way of skilling more than one skill each time . This can even occur through debit card payment like 14 extra euro for each extra skill trained at the same time or even free of charge for subscribers of the year 2007 . Maybe this sounds greedy but when i see i cant take part in large pvp engagements with my corp cause of my skill points and that i will be needed in a year from now then this makes us rather unhappy :( we hope in a way of improving skill time training in a paid or pay-free method for very new players thank you for any attention on this keep up the good work and thank you for giving us a game like that to fill our days with creativity and quality entertainment

this idea seems awesome till you look at the other side... a 50 mill skill point chatictor wants to train all cap ship skills same time so he essentaly opens a few more skill accounts ontop of the one he already has so by next year he have 90 mill skill points. newer players are not sure if they want to invest that much money anyways or they would start 3 accounts from day 1. even though we all get addicted and wind up with 3 account we still progress slowly with our comitments.
but if CCP is down with this idea i have 3 accounts and i will open 1 more learning account on each of them.
currently training T2 BS but kinda wish i was training cap ships but i would if this idea passes. go for it CCP its more money for your pocket lol.

This isn't really needed because its a common belife that you need uber skill points to compete when really you dont.
On my main i have about 32 mil skill points and have been playing for about 2 years. Thoes skills are in mining, science, combat, and capital. so there is a very wide spread of skills. My main is a minnie so he uses projectiles. I have it trainned to lv4 t2 large. in order to get any more i need to spend many weeks to get an extra 2%OR 5% dammage/tracking ect... if i was to max my sp in that you could have trainned up to the same point i was before that. also if you are talking to an vet they can guide you on what to train so you dont waste sp on something.
Also you can only specialize on one ship/professoin before it isn't worth the time to improve or even max out so you need to train something else. which happens to all the vets that you think you can compete with.
If after reading that you stil dont belive me just do the PvP university class and see that even t1 frigs can compete aginst BS and other high sp players

Op is based on typical new player disinformation - that he with low sp cannot compete with 50mil sp player which can't be more far away from truth. Sp are not "level" like in other mmos, here what matter is do you specialize, ie now when u create combat character u can fly t2 fited frigate just from the begining, and i guarantee that u can beat 50mil sp guy frigate in that, and even some caracals if u will learn some pvp skills :]
Also it is what we love in eve - the fact that here you are rewarded for time, in other mmos (wow is good example) after half year, new player can get as high as player who pimped his char for couple years, which is just wrong on many levels. ---

if a 60 mill player tops out at 12 mill gunnery hes hard to beat but if you are 12 mill total skill points all in gunnery you can match his skills but you cant tank as well so you still lose.
the ballance varries tho i have 28 mill skill points and im more skilled in some areas than some 50 mill chares and much less in others so your best off to assume 50 mill charictor can woop on you but if you beat him and it is possible (just less likely) you have bragging rights.

exept a player who has invested for instance 10 million skillpoints into minmatar cruiser could be better at them then someone with 30 million skill points who wanted to fly everything
