Eve is a bit laggy on my machine, particularly when other players are in my vicinity.. I do OK in computer-only environments, which is probably why I spend most the time fighting NPC rats.. I imagine it's the CPU that's the real bottleneck. Hoping that my 1 Ghz P3 will make a difference.. if not, will have to wait till I can afford a whole new comp.
Brand new back when I put it together, cost me about $1500.. today.. paperweight.. haha.. time to spend another chunk I guess.

What do you let your little characters frolick on?
Me personally? I'm running on a rusty beast!
Pentium III 447mhz Some god awful motherboard. 1x 128mb SDRAM,1x 64mb SDRAM - Total of 192mb SDRAM. Nvidia Geforce 4 Ti 4600 - The highlight of my computer. Crap 17" EV700 CRT Display 12.4gb HDD Windows XP Pro. 220w Power Supply Boss Surround Sound System w/ 220w Subwoofer - Second Highlight. Broken CD-RW Drive
This baby was top of the line.... 7 years ago.
And I manage to play EVE windowed w/ IRC running constantly and sometimes manage to open other things in the process.
So lets see yours..
Yeah.. and on a side note.. if anyone *looks around* has some spare parts *checks around corner of hall* I'm gladly accepting donations.. *cough* *cough*
I ran EVE on ZX80 from Sinclair with just 2Kb of RAM ... without the need of expansion pack of 8Kb

p4 3.2ghz, only 512 system ram, radeon 256m 9800xt, crappy soundblaster live card which i have many problems with on other games but thankfully not EVE.
I usually have 2 EVE clients running at the same time and i get a little slowdown in roid fields after i have been there a while, think its due to a mining drone bug (i can see about 40 mining drones around my ship but i only have 4 under my control), but if I only need 1 client on i can play with anti-aliasing on 6x and EVE really looks sweet with this and still runs silky smooth :)

I use a 1.2GHz Athlon, Radeon 8500LE graphics card, 512MB PC2100 RAM, standard generic 40 gig HD, 17" monitor, and Windoze 98SE. EVE actually runs fine for me (though I've never been in a fleet battle). And the really amusing thing is my OS is so old half the new viruses won't even run on my machine if they DID get by my scanner...

also, use wireless keyboard and mouse, very very handy.
i run 2 accounts plus a few instances of IE, plus TS and Ventrilo (sometimes icq or msn as well) without any trouble

Pentium 4 2.4Ghz (P4C) 512MB PC3700 DDR Radeon 9700 NP overclocked to 9800 Pro speeds
It runs damn slow with all the settings maxed... 30-40 FPS normal gameplay, 5 FPS or lower with 5 people on the screen. Its because of the GUI... if I turn it off I get over 50 FPS during a major battle, lol.

Usually running two accounts on both screens simultaniously, but when lag occurs in large ops I exit one session and switch to the other to fullscreen. Looks pretty nice then.
