It's possible your ship didn't have enough capacitor, but it could also have been a warp disruption bubble of some kind. Although that will only be the case in 0.0 as they don't work in anything above that.

As stated, the ship probably didn't have the cap to make the trip. Causes a stop and go thing (which is annoying as hell when you're trying to get to a station on low cap).
As for the red blinky thing... probably an outlaw in his pod cruising hi-sec |

Caldari ships are infamous for their mid-warp drop outs; Caldari warp drives are the least efficient drives in the galaxy, oddly enough. So unless you train Warp Drive Operation high, expect to drop out of warp a lot in a Caldari frigate.

Actually no. It's because Caldari ships have mediocre capacitors and unusually high mass.

Try adding a capacitor battery to your ship if you have a spare slot, until you train up the navigations skills.
You'll lose a mid-slot, but it can be worth it if you don't want to be pulled out of mid-warp.
Otherwise, you can just hit warp again, your capacitor will have charged by the time you stop warping (as the power is extracted at the start of the warp).
