I've just started looking at these sites and have done a few in 0.1-0.4 sec systems.
Is there any good loot drops in them, or is it just npc bounties?

Dunno about drops. But in 0.0 atleast there's some % chance you will get a faction spawn at a cosmic anomaly encounter.

Is there a fix in the works to get them taken off the results of a multispec probe. Nothing is more frustrating that probing for an hour and a half only to realize your multispec probe picked up a cosmic anomoly

multispecs are fixed on Sisi by all appearances, 0.0 anomalies can spawn waves upon waves of BSes, and there's a (low) chance for a faction spawn at the end of all of the anomalies (including high sec).

Ive been to a number of Cosmic Anomalies now and not a single one has had anything that is even remotely close to being destructable... and not a single one yet has even had rats in it...
So that's just wack.

You have prompted me to write a little guide to these that I have just posted. Drops arent great but some are very lucrative.

I`ve done quite a few cosmic anomalies in Blood-areas, 0.4-0.1, and they are mostly a decent profit and not too bad loot/salvage. I have not yet had any faction spawns at the end of one, but I have heard of several trustworthy accounts of factions drops in low sec anomalies. If you are always finding empty ones, try going a bit farther into space and go where not so many others go. If you consider beltratting to be a way of making money, anomalies will certainly appeal to you. |

I thought that already was fixed because of the Cosmic Anomaly scanner group. Or do they still show up on Cosmic Signature?

They're no longer Cosmic Signatures. However, multispec probes ignore your scan group settings, so they still show up as "Unknown" on multispec probes.
Also, I can confirm that you can get a faction spawn in encounters. Had a Domination BC in the last wave of a low sec encounter.

They show up on Multispecs as "unknowns". When you do your Quest probing set your scanner settings to "Cosmic Anomallies" as well as "Deadspace Signatures" and you'll know what your dealing with.

im pretty sure that anomalies do not appear as unknowns in scan results especially if you have only cosmic signature selected as a scan type.
then again - the amount of unknown sites around is ridiculous.

On Tranquility, anomalies don't show up when you scan for signatures with quests/sifts/etc, however for multispectral probes, it ignores the scan group settings and returns unknown if there are anomalies in system, even if there aren't any true unknown signatures.
