Most of the forum regulars don't know how to fight against drone ships. Hence they percieve drone ships as "OP". They try to move on their perception to the forums, and thus get tactics that their personal tactics don't work on nerfed. They are quite good in this kind of social engineering, and as a result we get unneeded and unwanted nerfs... ___ P.S. Post with your main. Mind control and tin hats |

Paper dps for drones is useless. You can't get it except in very specific circumstance... ___ P.S. Post with your main. Mind control and tin hats |

Quote: Passive tanks aren't great in PvP anyway so I have trouble seeing how that makes the Drake "king of the hill" except as a poor attempt at not getting the Myrm nerfed.
Say again? The drake can get good enough passive thank that it is completely unbrakable by anything smaller than battleships. Without using cap, or using cap to fire guns. Meaning it is not even vulnerable to nos/neut... Not good in pvp. What game are you playing...
Quote: 1vs1s don't mean anything, though the Hurricane is a good ships the Myrm can reach a combination of gank and tank far beyond anything a cane, or any other bc, can do.
Drone ships are **** in pvp. If you have to bugger out you lose all your dps and can't reengage without docking up first or resuplying at a carrier. Harbie and cane are a lot better at this aspect...
Quote: No, justification for a nerf is X is far above W,Y and Z the other ships in its class. Therefore overpowered. That's exactly the case for the Eos and Myrm.
No, the majority of forum regulars refuse to fit so that they would fight against drone ships. Hence they start playing for defeat and no suprise lose. Then they come to the forums whining for nerf. They are fine in their roles, whiners just need to start adapting... ___ P.S. Post with your main. Mind control and tin hats |

Quote: BEING SURVIVABLE DOES NOT MAKE A PASSIVE TANKED DRAKE GOOD IN PVP. IT HAS EXTREMELY WEAK DPS, CANNOT TACKE, HAS NO PROPULSION MOD. IE: IT CANNOT KILL ANYTHING. USELESS SOLO WHAT CANT KILL YOU CAN HOLD YOU DOWN TILL A GANK SQUAD ARRIVES, USELESS IN GANGS IT DOESNT CONTRIBUTE DPS WORTH TALKING ABOUT NOR EWAR AND WILL MERELY DIE LAST, USELESS IN FLEETS.
Ah, I see the misconception here. Solo is not pvp. It's called getting ganked. Drake is a great gang ship, it has one of the best efficiency ratings, even being a rather expensive BC.
Quote: Yes, but can they mount anything near the amount of tank/gank and e-war the myrm can? Nope.
When you can't efficiently use that firepower, it's mostly a tank/ewar ship...
Quote: If a ship beats the others in its class unless they specifically fit for it, there is a problem. If you had said using tactics like "shooting the drones" then you'd have more of a point. It works, solo and in very small fights, however when you're in a gang engagement with multiple BS/BCs/support shooting the drones is not realistic.
The whole point in eve is ship modularity and ships being different in philosophy and funktion, thus requiring different fits to fight against effectively. Because of this you will always have a tactic that works against any fotm appearing. It's just a matter of adapting. Holding on to a losing strategy is not only sad, but relying on forum whine to win, is even sader...
Quote: Only if I get my cavalry Raven back. Whiners, adapt, right?
You can still do it, not just so effectively though... Man those were fun:D
Quote: You should be the one doing the adapting, the devs are doing what they think is best for the game's balance.
Devs are responding to customer feedback, they would be stupid not to do so. The fact is whiners are always the most vocal, so they only are getting feedback from a minority... Just because some view is popular, it does not make it true... ___ P.S. Post with your main. Mind control and tin hats |

Originally by: Sonja Vladomirovic Jaja, Mymi is in the drone ship family, the missing link between Domi and the Ishtar, so: - It has to be a heavy drone boat (yeah, 5 heavies) - Take away its rep bonus - Take away 1 med slot
Thats it, whiners n flamers...
Im riatch, biaaaatch
The difference between cruisers and battlecruisers is that cruisers have smaler sig and more speed, where BC have tanking bonuses. On two ships these have been replaced by double weapon bonus.
Even though drone and RSD bonus on the same ship would sound great. Maybe a 4/6/6 layout... ___ P.S. Post with your main. Mind control and tin hats |

Evry single ship in a gang fitting tackle does not improve the chances of destroying a target, they reduce it. Dedicated tackle, dedicated hard hitters and dedicated baittankers are much more effective than generical jack-of-all-trades fits... ___ P.S. Post with your main. Mind control and tin hats |
