I know a friend who kept getting corrupted data because of a faulty circuit in a telephone exchange that worked for phone, but not correctly for data. They would never have picked it up unless he harassed them for 3 months :S Go to a web cafe / friends/ families and download it there. Eve Files have a verified copy of the installer ? ___ Sig removed. Please keep sigs to 24000 bytes in size or less. -Kaemonn -It was only 23.9 in transfer, 24.5 on disk
Neroo Tal Minmatar Ambart Valaina	Posted - 2007.10.15 03:03:00 - [34] Simple simple possible solution: When downloading make CERTAIN your cache is clear ( easiest way to do that is to go to internet options in explorer and clear cache.. then go ( for windows xp ) C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5 and delete all the contents in those folders ( not the folders themselves )) Doesn't matter what version of IE you are running if memory serves. This will force you to redownload everything from scratch. Preventing your computer from handing you a cached version ( even if it says it is downloading normal speed.. and hands you a 'fresh' copy.. it may still mistakenly give you that corrupted one, I'd had it happen a number of times ). For mozilla firefox just use 'tools' -> Clear private data make sure the 'cache' checkbox is checked. ( Go to the url about:blank before doing this, so you are certain to have nothing left in cache ). I hope this helps :) Neroo Tal Ambart Valaina -= Because Fate is Divine.

Im shareing this as i migt not be the only Cabel modem user here, sitting on an outdated internet connection hub, using an out of date cabel modem. If you apply 20394 patches on the original on CD... you will end up with such a clusterf*** of an EVE client that it will make your ships go backwards and Veldspar roids actually make your standing to Chribba drop when you shoot them. From reading the above posts my BRAIN FART is have a dev use a remote access program to OBSERVE what happens when a player fails to DOWNLOAD A FILE. It worked when a fellow corpie walked me thru patching my BIOS on my last mobo. MY download issues 1 cant download using browser firefox nor using Dap my download manager firefox it stalls after a few K is downloaded DAP download gets a timeout error and never is shown to start as to it being my computer I have downloaded sev different download file of differing types over last 2 weeks including today so its not an issue on my end also I got an error page when trying to reactivate my acct where you blame the planck generator with forming a bubble it took 2 attempts to take my money SO your website is having issues in general and the funny thing is is someone would just email me a 1.5 MB patch file I would already be playing

It seems alot of ppl CANT! download eve!.....neither can i and now i can verify that the problem ISNT!!! on my end... Ive tried all that can be done, ive even had my ISP check their lines, and routes and MADE them give me a new cabel modem.. so... ??? PLEASE dev's you have to react to this! __________________________________________i belive in god, if he belives in EVE

AND! sorry but im getting off.. course i've done evrything possible on my side!.. EVERYTHING.. and my isp took it VERY seriously if they were the course of the problem!... they even send a tech worker to check the connections spots from my home to their larger hubs. Another insentive is, that this problem is ONLY with EVE download... I've tried several other games, files at 1 gb+ and NO PROBLEMO!.. so I can download everything fine... Then download it using FTPrush, UltraFTP or FlashFXP - all are capable of checking RARs from SFV file on the fly - once file downloaded - it automatically checks - and if its bad, marked filename.r00.BAD - so you redownload ONLY THAT PART, until you get all parts properly :) reply here if you need help getting this done, only thing I wont help with is finding FTP server to upload it on :P Anyway that should solve your problem 100% Good luck. Some ****ty windows, driver what ever thing... how ever.. im not the only person with the problem. Which means this isnt a stand-alone issue. So what ever the course if this is, must be in CCP's intrest to figure out. Have it do a passive check every say, 6 hours? And if there's a problem, throw up a red flag and send a mail to the devs? Just an idea, I have seen it implemented on a FTP ring for linux before, works quite well.
