Just go back in time and check all the whine threats on level V missions.
Level V missions give to much ISK, they where intended to run in low from the start, there is no risk versus reward, bla, bla, bla ...
low and 0.0 whiners got the attention from CCP and Level V missions vanished into low.
Vanished is the right word, check the Level V systems and you will see that they almost dead content. A few people still doing them, but overall no one does them any more (as announced by the people actually running them at the time).
So let's see if this whiners again manage to make eve a more dull place to be.
ps.
People won't rage quit due to incursions situation, they just get bored and leave quietly as so many have done. Wonder how many people would play eve (and how many people CCP could hire with this money to make shiny new features), if the eve community wasn't on a suicide mission. |

There are two simple laws valid for every MMO:
1) Don't make the economy crash because of mudflation.
2) Entice taking risk with more reward.
EvE is exceptionally weak to 1) because unlike the other MMOs it's completely economy driven. Moreover unlike the other MMOs, you don't have "gear reset" every year taking out the overdone top stuff but has to stay viable with what it got, forever.
The second point does not even need a comment. You are pushed out of the starting areas more violently in WoW than in EvE. |

Lvl 5 missions were supposed to be in losec but a bug caused the agent to offer them in hisec. Care to link to those whine threads. Afaik lvl 5 missions have always been poorly paid and I don't recall lots of people whining about them to be nerfed.

People still run lvl 5 missions but they were never that popular to begin with.

Who left? The number of players online is starting to rise and certainly never took a dip when CCP fixed lvl 5s |

So ..we have the carebears on the one side, people who absolutely love mindless, repetitive vanguard grinding and can and will do this for days and weeks, without suffering from decerebration since they have to be dead inside already.
On the other side are those null- and lowsec dwellers who keep coming up with the same old risk vs. reward myth to hide the fact that all they want is to lure absurdly expensive, faction fitted carebear ships into lowsec so that they can farm carebears as easily as the carebears wanted to farm incursions....
I have difficulties chosing sides here...I think I will just shut up and leave the drama to the other guys.... -.- |

You're forgetting about the majority of players in EVE who just want a fun sandbox game to play with more content and less rock/paper/scissors combat, apparently that's a bad thing.

Are you sure that those are a majority?

There are a number of level V systems were "pirates" just sit in system all day waiting for someone to come in so they can gank them. No one ever comes and they wait. It's amazing what people will pay there subscriptions for
The only real way to run level Vs is to take over the system and surrounding systems and then you can harvest them all you want Something Awful. A beacon for tearful, lonely neckbeards. |

So nobody is running them as predicted and even those who still run them agree on that? That's some mighty fine logic you got there. Do you have a seat in the US senate by chance?
Lowsec Incursion are done already. Talk to LG if you want to join in.

Nerf Incursions, buff PVP.
As in, buff the harshness. You throw away a ship to a gank and CONCORD gets you, your ass should burn regardless if you win or not. Because EVE being harsh, it needs harsher penalties.
-10 is the new +5, well then you should get podded by gate guns and faction police just to remind you...its harsh so don't travel in a weak egg.
Use an alt to get your stuff to lowsec, well add a 10 million direct window trade / contract fee that is vaporized into an isk sink even if its your own alt...because its harsh and that -10 makes you suspect to EVERYONE even yourself that you are dangerous and they should charge you more.
Blow up anyship, well now CONCORD charges you 50 million isk processing fee to submit the paper work...thats 50 million for the KM or 50 million for the loss mail.
So harsh, that you get punished for what your doing that is most fun.
Hey, it works for me. |

Low sec is a PvP zone. A PvP fit cannot be used for PvE (unless you're talking about WH space). EvE players have enough intelligence (in general) not to go into a PvP zone unprepared. Being prepared for PvP precludes running PvE content. As a result PvE content in not run in low sec.
In general nobody self selects for the role of victim, which is what you are if you come to low sec unprepared for PvP. Second best rewards after null are not enough to induce players to voluntarily adopt the role of victim.
Now if we had some level Vs that required a group of people with PvP fits that might change the equation a bit. |
