Edited by: Mardeiash on 16/10/2007 21:30:05 As most players probably seen on SISI , all interceptors got a role bonus (-80% cap for scramblers/webifiers) and one interceptor for every race got replaced one bonus with +5% range for scramblers , a nice bonus for a tackler ( 30km scrambling range with t2 scrambler and interceptor lvl 5)
The malediction with the new changes lost the +5% bonus to EM missiles damage per level...the only damage bonus left is the +5% damage to rocket damage
The "new" malediction is preaty crippled damage concerned since most people dont use rocket launchers ( the rockets range is ridiculous low without missile_speed/flight_time bonuses even with high missile skils ) Just try kill with rockets a fast crow that stay way outside web range if u dont belive me :) I may not be the most experienced interceptor pilot...but i think the most malediction pilots will like my ideea:
How about switching the 5% roket damage bonus with the old (and now removed on SISI) 5% EM damage for rockets AND light missiles ?
And dont tell me malediction will be overpowered (because the 5% EM to missiles bonus is still there on TQ and is more usefull than that crappy useless rocket bonus)

The Khanid ships focus solely on the short-range missile systems - Rockets, HAMS, and (eventually) Torps.
There is no reason why they should have a long-range missile system bonus.
Further, with this change the role of the Interceptor has been made even more clearly that of a [u]tackler. It's speed tank is its defence - sit outside nos range, sit and scramble for as long as it can. Sounds good to me.
They can[/i] be made into anti-Interceptors, but that is a secondary role.

Well, honestly now...
You're getting a 20/25% scrambling range...
And you're *****ing about damage? I mean, just say THANKS CCP and walk away.

im very happy with the inty changes, but only not with the malediction.. but i aint complaining, its still a great ship, but i would prefer a doule damage to rocket damage or ROF instead of a single damage, and a sorta useless armour bonus 
a dual rocket damage bonus wouldnt be overpowered, as it would only apply to rockets, and the crow gets a dual kinetic MISSILE/rocket bonus... i think thats a far trade... short range 50% damage for any type, for the crows 50% kinetic only LONG range (or short range)
fair deal? anyone disagree?
armor bonus aint great cause polycarbs nerf your armor.. and resists are best when you have tanking mods... if im trying to catch uber crows.. itll never happen in a malediction with a armour repper
also, crows dont need to waste low slots on cap mods anymore and can easily fit webs now   ... finally, i now agree the crow is by far the best inty... but whatever  Only once you've lost everything, are you free to do anything. |

On the other hand, you can now use a distruptor on even a short-range setup, and switch to javelin rockets if you want to stay out of webrange. Switching the rocket bonus to EM bonus would make it worse for rocket users, and its rocket DPS isn't that stellar.
Basically, this helps the Malediction.

the point of a new chenges it to make interceptors ..well, interceptors, not fast alsult frigs so yes, less dps better inti. abilities

interceptor is an interceptor and only that it should be able to do - not to use as killing machine!

Indeed, except there are two strains of interceptor, a tackler and a light-ship killer. That's what I was trying to say - they both do the job they are designed for now. You've got your killer, and you've got your tackler. Sorted.

Nowadays your tackeler is a vagabond and pointless people fly interceptors!
