Anyways I warped to a belt with a scorpion in a .4, 37km away. I cancel the order to follow me since he's far away but can't stop one friendly caracal from coming. I open conversation and ask the scorp pilot if he wants to join our gang while stalling for time. Eventually I get within 7.5 km and the caracal within 20km. Boom 3 points of scram, the rest of our gang shows up and begins pounding away. I get the rest of the gang to stop firing and ask for a ransom of 20 mil since he wasn't likely to give any good crap anyways. Normally this wouldn't be worthy of a thread but here's the kicker. He refuses the ransom and instead of self destructing or getting himself blown up for insurance he ejects from his Scorpion leaving it for us and killing any chance of him getting insurance. Stating that "20 mil isn't worth it for any of YOU" and that "I have more isk then any of you can imagine. Then proceeds to eject and leave a 60 mil ship behind for us on a 20 mil ransom :-S. Better yet when we took the ship it was fit with 4x heavy 'limos' launchers 2x Large shield extenders Xlarge shield booster 2x Large armor repairers multispec ECM Afterburner and 2 WCS "we had 3 points between me and caracal". I don't know why, but somehow I get the distict feeling this guy's ISK isn't exactly as legitimate as ours. ___________ Desolacer> Who the heck gives YOU the right to ruin it for others buy blowing them up. Not really, you can make a bil in half a week of running lvl4s in a Raven 8 hours a day. I carrier jumped some of the named 0.0 loot I'd been saving and not refining for a few weeks and it sold for 3/4 of a bil. Not to mention you are relatively immune to attack ratting in a semi-stabbed cloaking+logging Raven in 0.0 but can rake in the bucks, even in you don't loot. Making ISK in EVE is easy and doesn't require too much intelligence, just patience and resistance to being bored out of your skull for a while. There's also semi-passive ISK earning like datacore farming. And all that's not even counting market trading which requires 0 knowledge of ship PvP, just some economics and math knowledge. And most people not familiar with EVE PvP ARE very trusting. In the end PvP is a way to destroy ISK, not to make it. You can make ISK off your adversary but one way or another ISK is removed from the game (unless you can ransom). You don't need to be good at PvP to make ISK at all, in fact for 90% of EVE PvP population that's where they blow their ISK, not make it. Resorting to buying ISK is not needed. It's just the lazy persons way out. Most people in EVE have no clue of how to PvP and make stupid decisions when faced with a PvP situation, doesn't make em ISK buyers. -- A Solo Arbitrator vid, Distortion by Corwain

Nor does that mean he has to fly the most expensive fittings in the game. He was ratting in a 0.4 System, you expect him to have cruise or torps fitted? 2nd of all...your comment about "arent you suspicious where all that isk came from" is debatable at BEST. If you are making accusations about another player "unlawfully" obtaining ISK, you SURE AS HELL better have support. This "story" contains nothing less than EPIC FAIL.

(the higher the level the harder they are and the better the payout) Ratting is all based around where and how too....Caldari rats (guristas) have the best bounties some reaching almost 2million isk a ship (non-officer) Also you can loot and salvage all the rats too thus further increasing profit. But you are in 0.0 so you might end up dieing...alot. The greater the risk the bigger the reward (hope that helps a little) Signature -=YYYAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!!=- Winning or Losing doesn't matter, as long as the fight itself was good. I am just hoping of learning few new technique of mission running from all the wise and OLD pirates from this forum. dont end up like me man! the easiest way to make isk as a nub is to rat. you go into low sec straight away. then when you¦re in an as or inty you go into 0.0 and ninja rat. no lvl 1 or 2 mission can match that kinda money. 20 or 30 mil a night easy. plus you¦ll have a load of fun dodging alliance cops trying to get you:) that¦s what i did. and if you do the same you¦ll be in my place soon. doing lvl 1 missions in your "bc of doom", wanting to kill yourself. the thing is, the best way to make money solo is to mission. it¦s boring as hell, but as you get older you¦ll develop more expensive taste¦s and ratting wont support them. lvl 4 missions will. talking as a lousy, and not very active, pirate here though. if you¦re a skilled pirate, you¦ll get all the income you need to survive through pirating. also, the very best way of making isk is to make some friends and not go solo TO THE OP thats pretty strange behavior from that pilot. and saying you have a lot of isk isnt the same as havin a lot of isk:) Originally by: Admiral Love Hmm creating a thread like this is perhaps a little like sitting naked with bleeding balls in a pool of piranhas. After a convo masking your approach I think it's normal that he didn't believe in your ransom statement. Regarding the fact "why hadn't he self-destructed/succumbed to concentrated fire" 2 possibilities a) His implants were worth more than 60 mln. ISK b) Adrenaline rush over a PVP engagement got the better of him. Both of these, as you see, are reasonable (and understandable) AND don't imply E-bay or GTC-sales.

He can add me to the lawsuit to, for this: Not only is it my opinion that he RMTs ISK, it is also my stated opinion that he cannot achieve "personal satisfaction" unless he kills a dog. CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that.
